Meowth, known in Japan as Nyarth, is a Normal-type Pokémon species in Nintendo and Game Freak's Pokémon franchise. Designed by Ken Sugimori, it was first introduced in the Pokemon Red and Blue, and is also known as the mascot of Team Rocket in the anime. At level 28, it evolves into Persian. Meowth has three forms. Its Alolan form is a dark-type Pokemon, and can be evolved into Alolan Persian with high friendship. Its Galarian form is a steel type pokemon that evolves into Perrserker at level 28. Meowth is the first and only pokemon to both have regional forms and a Gigantamax form.
