Most Powerful and Emotionally-Charged Songs from Musicals
Yes! Nobody ever talks about Love Never Dies! Erik finally finds somebody who's interested in what he is, and calls Gustave beautiful at one point, and it's one of my absolute favorite songs from Love Never Dies.
Had to crown "The Beauty Underneath" The lyrics, the vocals, the music...
The duet between The Phantom and Christine... You can't tell me this doesn't snatch your heart...
I vote for this one. I love this song. And the moment in the movie is amazing.
The duet between dying Eponine and the love of her life, Marius. So emotioanal.
Oh, I love this list! But I love more the creator of it!
Christine's very last song...
The final scene in Phantom. The most emotional lines: Christine- "The tears I might have shed for your dark fate, grow cold and turn to tears of hate! " Raoul- "Christine, forgive me, please forgive me! I did it all for you and all for nothing! " Christine- "You deceived me! I gave my mind blindly! " Christine- "Pitiful creature of darkness, what kind of life have you known? God give me courage to show you, you are not alone! " Phantom- "Christine, I love you..." Phantom- "You alone can make my song take flight! It's over now the music of the night! "
Christine's voice is packed so full of emotion, how does one NOT get shivers when she sings "Why can't the past just die? " and then when the Phantom begins to sing to her afterward just gives me even more chills. It's an amazing song, and I can't believe it's not higher on this list!
The end of the show. The part that always gets me is the Do You Hear The People Sing reprise.
