Best Rappers of All Time

The Contenders: Page 5

81 Q-Tip

I'm at 169 and I finally see a member of tribe. And phife dawg is nowhere to be seen. I'm not even mad, I feel bad for these people filling the top 20 with drake and wayne

His category is self explanatory produce classic albums and part of native tongues and the first to the abstract rap and brought j dilla in 1996 another praised by the rap world. - garnetmuganda

I personally voted for 2Pac as the #1, but it is a shame to see rappers such as Chuck D (Public Enemy), Run (Run DMC), and Q-Tip (A Tribe Called Quest) this far down... Might have to do with the average age of voter though...

A tribe called quest continue to be the greatest rap collective of all time.

Bigg Cash (the Netherlands)

What you people definitely don't know the true meaningof hiphop. Jeezy has songs that make you laugh, songs that make you cry, he is a great this is so disrespecting to put him this low.

He is a old school rapper really in the past he was the best rapper of all time!

83 Mobb Deep Mobb Deep

Mobb deep has some of the realist lyrics, beats and flow out there,
Especially their older songs like Survival of the fittest and
Hell on earth. Putting mobb deep at 90 is like putting big
Or PAC last, how is Wayne at 2!?

90?! The two lyrical poets of queens bridge get NINETY?! And Wayne is third?! These dudes should be no lower than twenty, but ninety?!?! The best hip hop duo ever ( or possibly outkast) is ninety?! These dudes would top most of the people above them- make them SHOOK ONES!

MOBB DEEP! That's all I gotta say! Shok ones part two! Keeping it real NYC!

Ice coolld! Other rappers have been dark, but The Infamous is practically pitch black!. Songs like survival of the fittest and shook ones part 2 just show that all these rappers now are so fake.

84 Nate Dogg Nate Dogg Nathaniel Dwayne Hale, better known by his stage name Nate Dogg, was an American rapper, singer, and actor. He was known as one of the pioneers of West Coast hip hop. He was noted for his membership in rap trio 213 and his solo career in which he collaborated with Dr. Dre, Eminem, Warren G, Tupac Shakur, ...read more.

Singer of the best lyrics, was a shame he was dead, unforgettable songs like Till I collapse and the next episode

Nate should be top 5, I don't are what anyone thinks! Listen to any of his songs and you'll understand. In all of his songs he is amazing. Great flow, boss lyrics and catchy as anything, even in his less popular songs. For him to be this low down is a disgrace, most people beating him are nobodies with no talent. When he died the world lost a great rapper. RIP Nate Dogg

Should be much higher. Hell nate Dogg has made songs with most of the top 15 rappers on any list like this. He is the definition of a Rap/hip hop chorus and although not as famous as others in the top he was extremely talented.

Why is Nate so low on this list he and Warren G were one of the best duos rap ever had.

86 Inspectah Deck Inspectah Deck Jason Hunter better known by his stage name Inspectah Deck, is an American rapper, producer, and member of the groups Wu-Tang Clan and Czarface.

Inspectah deck is definitely the number one, HANDS DOWN! He is like a rapper for college professors. I don't even care that none of you like him, because you wouldn't understand what he says anyways. So basically I'm saying his rap skill is off the charts not to mention his flow, which I don't think anybody could match. Number one. Listen to triumph by wu tang. Then you'll see. - originalmc

All of Wu tang definitely belongs above John Cena. - eatmaxeat

How is u-god ranked above deck? God is okay but deck is top 50 hands down - ChrisHenry

Triumph being my favorite track OF ALL TIME, there ain't no way deck should be this low on the list. Also what is lil Wayne doing so high up?

88 Xzibit Xzibit

X to the Z Xzibit, He has made some good songs over the years. Definitely one of the faces of West Coast Rap

Xzibit is the definition of a West Coast n****. Pimp My Ride is the best show ever made, and he is the best host

Xzibit is the best host, funniest guy ver on Pimp My Ride! And he is a very underrated guy in Hip-Hop

Reminds me a lot of Coolio. I love his work, in hip hop and in the cinema. He's probably one of the most hardcore musicians to appear in children's movies (Hoodwinked).

89 Zack De La Rocha Zack De La Rocha Zacharias Manuel "Zack" de la Rocha (born January 12, 1970) is an American musician, poet, rapper, and activist best known as the vocalist and lyricist of rap metal band Rage Against the Machine from 1991–2000, and after the band's reunion in 2007 until their last show in 2011. He left Rage Against ...read more.

Zack de la Rocha has been spitting some of the most difficult and most clever lines even more than Eminem since 1991. Zack is not only one of the few Mexican American artist who actually doesn't sound like a Mexican but an American protesting for what is right Zack easily can be put in the same level with Tupac when it comes to Rap poetry, and Freestyle level as Eminem. Zack rap skills were and are ahead of his time, and today he remains the most under rated rapper. Yes he is in a alternative rock/metal band, but that makes it even more clear, he was not trying to pursue money he was speaking the truth. You think Immortal is epic? Immortal Technique looks up to this guy. Listen to songs like. "Wake", "Bombtrack", "Voice of the Voiceless", "Guerrilla Radio", "Maria", "Bullet in the Head". By Rage Against the Machine.

Come on people! Ever hear of Rage against the Machine?

Listen to some, then come back and vote - madcowsarecrazy

An amazing rapper who speaks about true crap like government conspiracies and how america is going downhill

His lyrics are powerful and maybe the most inspiring I've ever heard

He is most well known for his physical assault towards the singer Rihanna in ...read more.

The more I think about it, the more I'm starting to see Chris Brown...as inferior to his ripoff Jason DeRulo.

At least Jason DeRulo isn't astonishingly bad, at least he rarely is. Chris Brown has Deuces, Look At Me Now, Ayo, Loyal, Birthday Cake, and Turn Up The Music under his belt.

If you have that track record, you are no longer bothering with artistic integrity. - WonkeyDude98

These hoes ain't loyal was literally the best song of 2014 and his first song Run It topped the billboard hot 100. Chris Brown was the first male singer sine Diddy in 1997 to have a debut single top the billboard hot 100.

I only like his song Look At Me Now and a few other songs and that's sit. I don't like Chris Brown anymore because in one of his songs he said "These hoes ain't loyal."

Chris brown people sarted puting you in the top 91 lists which you sould not have to you sould be on the top 10 lists I belive in you and I feel so so sorry for what you did and I head it on the internet on my phone I know you said sorry to Rihanna coutless times. but the more I think about it, the more people will start seeing you as an inferior to his ripoff jason DeRulo.

94 The D.O.C. The D.O.C.

No One Can Do It Better is essential rap/hip-hop material and it's a sin that he's not top-10, minimally. "Portrait of a Master Piece, " "The Formula, " "Whirlwind Pyramid, " the NWA crew on the "The Grand Finale" -- classic stuff!

I cannot believe that the D.O.C. is number 125 on this list. He revolutionized rap and had the best flow, lyrics and style. I understand why he is not Top 5 or even 10 because of the car crash, but he deserves much higher than 125. Much respect

"It's Funky Enough" is one of the best songs ever

He ghostwrote for Dre and NWA even before his accident, and contributed heavily to Dre's the Chronic. A true unsung hero of hip hop.

95 Wale

Not the best ever but 117? The fact John Cena is like 40 shows the true knowledge of hip hop on this page... Which is absolutely none... I mean how are you gonna have Pun at 70? Absolute craziness... WALE is head and shoulders above any rapper from the freshman class except for Cole end of story

Young, up, and coming. Nice verse, good flows, and poetic. Give a couple of his mixtapes a listen and I promise you won't regret it.

What! HE SHOULD BE IN THE TOP 10! Wale makes real rap music, has great beats, and is definitely what mainstream rap needs! Listen to "Ambition" and you'll know what I mean! VOTE 4 WALE!

Wale is a beast better than kendrick lamar poetry wise this list needs to be redone and the person needs to pass a background test - roadrage

96 Earl Sweatshirt

One of the best flows out there, with good lyrics, too. The guy has African poet and college professor genes in him, and he sure as hell uses them. No one can put together the multiple rhyme bars that Earl can do and not sound bad.
The reason he's over 100 is because he's in Odd Future and hasn't been recognized since 2010 when he was shipped off for releasing one of the best rap albums of the decade at age 16.
Wait til his first solo album after returning from boarding school, this man is gonna be on top.

This dude is on his way to number one and seriously is amazing I think of as a whole should be able to get at least top 20 they make their own beats and their own show and on top of it all they have literally the best time on stage and make their shows amazing but earl for sure has the most talent in that whole group

This man will own the game one day. The way he uses assonance is amazing and can rap about literally any subject to boot. Not to mention he is only 18 and has 3 ALBUMS coming out very soon.

His flow his rhymes and his beats are so different from everything else. His voice and rhymes hooked me

Ya boy 100 bars of death, some of the people I'm seeing past the 100 mark is unreal they should be in the top 30! Ya boy and meek mill should be at least in the top 30 what is this page about? Will.I.am cannot rap an he's higher? Wheres all the true g's at who listen to genuine rap music!

98 Rick Ross Rick Ross William Leonard Roberts II, better known by his stage name Rick Ross, is an American rapper and entrepreneur.

Rick ross is fat slob who is a fake cop

Rick ross is not a "gangsta" like he says he is. He was a corrections officer. You really can't get ant less gangsta than that

"What the f do f think you looking at I'm the f boss" no your not you rhyme the same things together like 22

Its impossible for this guy to be number 91

100 Lloyd Banks Lloyd Banks Christopher Charles Lloyd, better known by his stage name Lloyd Banks, is an American hip hop recording artist and member of East Coast hip hop group G-Unit, alongside childhood friends and fellow American rappers, 50 Cent and Tony Yayo.

The underdog that has more talent than most artist in the industry but is overshadowed by his talented crew.

Banks honestly is not even in his prime plk all day.

If you do not think that lloyd banks deserves a spot in the top ten then listen to ON FIRE ft. 50 Cent

Punch line king for many years. The most underrated rapper of all time next to AZ. Shame he's this low his few years his mix tapes have been killer. Not only did he transition from mainly punchlines but his songs have grew in essence. Bars for days, best freestyle in hot 97 history (speakin in tongues). Recommend to any fan of rap.
