The Grateful Dead was an American rock band formed in 1965 in Palo Alto, California. Ranging from quintet to septet, the band is known for its unique and eclectic style, which fused elements of country, folk, bluegrass, blues, reggae, rock, improvisational jazz, psychedelia, space rock, for live performances of lengthy instrumental jams, and for their devoted fan base, known as "Deadheads".

I don't understand why anyone would hate them by the time in the late 60's and early 70's, during Ron 'Pigpen' McKernan's time before his early death. But I do understand that their music went a bit downhill, but they are still good. I just liked them better during the earlier times.

I do, however, HATE "Hotel California". No other rock song makes me wanna barf like that song does. It's boring, repetitive, too slow, whiny, just UGH.
I personally like The Eagles. I don't really understand the hate they get. Is their songs too mellow? I guess I'll never know.
I hate them! I have no clue why so many people love them so much.

They have catchy household tunes! I'm sorry to most of the people that hate them, they aren't like Metallica or KISS, you don't head bang to their songs.

Also I like The Clash, The Who, Metallica, Aerosmith, and lots more. And I also will always be Rokken with Dokken!
