Saddest Bird Extinctions

I will declare war on all farm and all hunter or all bee, all city, America, liberate all poultry, and then clone carolina parakeet in near future.

If there were one bird I could bring back, I would bring back this beloved symbol of wild America.R.I.P. parakeets :(

Mainly due to deforestation.

The last two were killed together; they were a pair with an egg. The killing of the last auk is sadder than almost every other bird. Those poor auks.

Scientists went around on the island and played sound recordings of the beautiful O-o. One male bird sang back, but soon he fell silent as well. Listen to the bird's song on YouTube; it is heartbreaking.
