Saddest Moments In Walt Disney Animated Classics

Disney Movies all have their sad moments. But which one is the very saddest?

The Top TenXW

1Mufasa's Death - The Lion KingV1 Comment
2Bambi's Mom's Death - Bambi

Not as sad a Mufasa I agree, but come on? A little boy just lost his mother?! Surely that's sadder then just a side character dying?!

3Baby Mine - Dumbo

I'm creeped out by the title of this... And ps, CLASSICS

4Ray's Death - The Princess and the Frog
5The Poem About Losing Someone - The Fox and the Hound

The only part on any movie I ALWAYS CRY No exception is when the old lady leaves Tod in the forest on his own. I have cried many times the last images of toy story, but never as much as this one... It's just more injustice to a fox who has lost everything. Now, he must lose the woman he was raised by... Perhaps the only person he loved in his world. - keyson

6Todd's Moms Death - The Fox and the Hound

One of the darker Disney animated classics. I love it though. - dureckl

7Snow White In Her Coffin - Snow White and the Seven Dwarves
8Stitch Leaving Lilo - Lilo and Stitch
9You'll Be In My Heart - Tarzan
10Quasimodo Is Tortured - The Hunchback of Notre Dame

The Contenders

11Kenai Tells Koda That He Killed His Mum - Brother Bear

In Disney, PURE Disney, only Dumbo and a handful of others are truly original by Disney. The Lion King is actually similar to Hamlet, in a way.

Never gets enough credit, beautiful film and possibly the best

12Riley's Memories - Inside Out
13Bing Bong's Death - Inside Out

This is my favorite part, because it's beautiful. I never cry at it. - mimitchi33

14When the Beast Almost Dies - Beauty and the Beast
15John Smith Gets Shot and Leaves - Pocahontas
