The Contenders: Page 24
I went through this list expecting that this title will come up... AND NO!
People People People, if you haven't seen this movie please do.
Firstly and I beg you, get every roll of toilet paper and Kleenex in the house... You have been warned! Sorry
Not commonly watched because it is a foreign movie (Chinese) but the acting is excellent. Even if you don't speak Chinese I suggest you watch with subtitles, one of the saddest movies I have ever seen all about learning to look for love in the right places and the things people go through for love.
Has got to be one of the saddest movies I have ever seen, sincerely speaking. It really speaks of the suffering of the people and how bad life can be, and difficulty in times of war.
I don't even know how much this movies story touched me it shows what a father does to cure his children's sickness. Laying it all on the line and to take a chance and funds a egocentric scientist to help him. It just shows true human spirit and at the end really made me tear up
It was awesome, cry whenever I watch it.. Just brings TEARS into the eyes.
Tragic story of a beautiful actress named Frances Farmer. I was crying to see her life story. In fact, her mother was not able to be a helper. Until death she was living alone.V 1 Comment
Haven't you people watched this? You better this movie it made me cry I never even get bored of watching it all over again.
As roger ebert once said in his review: this film is unlike anything martin scorsese had done in a long time. And I'm sure it means a lot to his heart.
Asa is really good in this movie, but Ben Kingsley makes
It. Never cried in a Scorsese movie.
I watched most of movies in this list but none of these put a lump on my throat like Léon: The Professional. That movies should be at least on the top ten. With the excellent acting of Natalie Portman and the theme song Shape of my heart, Léon: The Professional is the saddest movie I ever watched
Federico Fellini's film (The Rogue) is so mesmerizing, you can't believe you are watching this tragic tale of a simple -minded waif who is abused be a travelling performer. It also happens to be the first film ever to win Best Foreign Language Film at the Oscars in 1956.
Anthony Quinn and Giulietta Masina give a most powerful and convincing performance.
I cried during the whole movie, even after the movie... Just the thought in my mind :'(
