Thinking about the difference that would have been made in the legacy that Metallica has created, and the level to which he would have taken the genre of heavy/thrash metal, sends chills down my spine. If he were alive, he would possibly be one of the best songwriters of today.

On that tragic day, the heavy metal genre (the whole art of music in general) lost a priceless jewel before he could even reach the pinnacle of his songwriting.

I feel like this should be higher than Taylor Swift's VMA speech being interrupted. As stupid as it was, no one died or was injured.
