Singers With the Best Vocal Range

I know Most of you wont agree but these are my opinion completely.
The Top Ten
1 Dimash Kudaibergen Dinmukhamed Kanatuly Kudaibergenov, commonly known as Dimash Kudaibergen (born May 24th, 1994) is a Kazakh singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. Dimash is best known as a contestant of Chinese talent show "Singer 2017" where he was declared a runner-up. He is also known for possessing a wide vocal range, measuring up to 5 octaves.

He should really be on rank #1. As far as I know, he has the world's widest vocal range (it's A1 - D8, 6 octaves and 5 semitones). Plus he is extreeemely skilled and uses all of his range effortlessly.
If you compare that to the others in the Top 10:
1. Jackie Evancho: 2 1/2 octaves
2. Legendary Freddie Mercury: 4 octaves
4. Talented Chester Bennington: 3 octaves
5. Whitney Houston: slightly more than 3 octaves
6. Mike Patton (the only other one with a huge range on here, and the singer with the second widest range in the world): 6 octaves and 1 semitone
7. Amy Lee: slightly more than 3 octaves
8. Paul McCartney: slightly more than 4 octaves
9. Corey Taylor (very good range): almost 5 octaves
10. Axl Rose (veeery good range): 5 1/2 octaves

Dimash is the most beautiful, humble, melodic, musician I have ever heard. I feel I am getting obsessed with his music. It makes me cry, makes my heart beat fast, is unbelievable! His range is out of this world. It is my dying wish to see him sing live and to meet him. I send him loads of love, peace and happiness as he spreads his message of peace and love to the world. I love you Dimash (like a mother to a son), you are magnificent! I am a 62 year old woman with a 24 year daughter. You are a genius and have the most beautiful soul.I hope my wish comes true, Debby Australia xxx

Unquestionably, the singer with the widest vocal range (A1-D8)! Hoe is he not #1 in this rnaking? He has total mastery over every part of his range, astonishing technique and breath control, many colours and timbres in his voice, sometimes even within one musical phrase. In addition, he is a great showman, and is able to internalize the emotions and essence of a song and transmit it to his audience. A legend in the making and we are fortunate to be alive to see it happening!

I'm stunned at this current ranking. How is Dimash Kudaibergen not #1 on this list? I'd like to see ALL of the current Top 10s try singing "The Diva Dance" with the same level of mastery, technique, vocal control, passion, and artistry as Dimash. I can bet none of them can even get through 5 seconds of that song.

2 Freddie Mercury Freddie Mercury (born Farrokh Bulsara, 5th September 1946 - 24th November 1991) was a Zanzibari-born British singer of Indian descent, songwriter and record producer, known as the lead vocalist and songwriter of the British rock band Queen. He also became known for his flamboyant stage persona and four-octave vocal range. Before he became a singer he has been in 3 other bands (Ibex, Sour Milk Sea,... read more

Yes Freddie Mercury should be at the top of any list that has to do with good singing and range. Even if someone does have a higher range then him, no one can compare their actual singing voice to his.. Incredible. No one will ever reach him

Highly over-rated, Rolling Stone magazine had him ranked the #18 rock vocalist, which is about right. He is barely qualified to carry Elvis Presley's luggage.

Freddie Mercury is unbeatable in vocal range. He was the absolute best singer. He died in 1991, and in this 27 years nobody can come close to him in singing.

3 Jackie Evancho Jacqueline Marie "Jackie" Evancho is an American classical crossover singer who gained wide recognition at an early age. Since 2009, she has issued an EP and eight albums, including a platinum and gold album, and three Billboard 200 top 10 debuts. Evancho's latest album 'The Debut', was her eighth consecutive release to reach No. 1 on the Billboard Classical Albums chart... read more

I'm so sick of math-challenged people saying Jackie Evancho is on "all" lists, when in fact she is on less than 1/2 of 1 percent of music lists, or about 1 out of 200 music lists, and is highly ranked on only about half of those, or 1/4 of 1 percent, a long, long way from "all".
It's also against the rules of TTT to fail to post positive comments, just because you don't respect somebody else's OPINION.
Moderators?

Every album (all 9 of them) give you a world of different vocal perfection. As she grows, so does her voice. There is a reason people have made it possible the last 8 of her albums have gone #1 on the Billboard Classical charts.

"Think of Me" at both age 9 and 14 show the tremendous and powerful range that Jackie has in her voice.

4 K.S. Chithra Krishnan Nair Shantakumari Chithra, often credited as K. S. Chithra or simply Chithra, is an Indian playback singer from Kerala. Chithra also sings Indian classical, devotional, and popular music.

Chithra is the best classical and melody singer in India as well as in Asia. She has got a lovely and melodious voice. She should have been way to too higher on the list. She is gifted with a very beautiful voice.

Chithra is the ultimate best, you can hear, see and feel her put every ounce of herself in every note, high of even low.

I have never heard a singer with so much range that she achieves so easily.

5 Corey Taylor Corey Todd Taylor was born in December 8, 1973. He is an American musician, author, and actor best known as the lead singer and lyricist of the Nu-metal band Slipknot and hard rock/alternative metal band Stone Sour.

Corey currently has the second highest vocal range out of any modern vocalists, at a whopping 5 1/2 octaves, and he's at 73rd? And as a fan, he is an amazing vocalist. He can sing, growl, scream and even rap and most of the time, it comes out great. He definitely deserves to be in the top 10.

5 octaves?! Put this man #1!

5 octaves, 5-1/2 notes!

She is a great singer but her range isn't big - only 2 octaves, 4 notes. For comparison, Ian Gillan of Deep Purple has 4 octaves.

She can reach any note so sad that she died

His voice was/is incredible. My biggest regret is not making time to see him perform live. I had planned to see him on this next tour. I have every cd.

I've found his 7 octave vocal range from his works, so far. Still I'm discovering his full vocal range

One of the best rock singers in the history of rock music. He is a true legend. So very missed.

9 Mike Patton Michael Allan "Mike" Patton is an American singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, film composer, producer, and actor, best known as the lead singer of the alternative metal band Faith No More.

If Patton isn't right near the top, these lists lose all credibility in my opinion. Nearly all of these lists could come under the heading "most popular artist". popularity isn't a measure of skill or talent but when the populous is doing the voting, expect them to be ignorant of what isn't spoon fed to them.

This list is singers with the highest vocal range... Mike Patton has the highest vocal range but is 56th... Is this some kind of cruel joke played by complete idiots?

He has 6 octaves of range to his voice, for comparison, Freddy Mercury only has 4, which is an extremely impressive number, but nothing compared to Mike Patton.

D1-F#7
6 + 1/3 octaves
Largest vocal range for a famous singer.
Listen to Abraxas, it is a pure showcase of his range. But any of his high notes are unattainable for anyone else.

10 Mariah Carey Mariah Carey, born March 27, 1970, is an American singer, songwriter and actress. She is one of the biggest best-selling women in the music industry, with 18 number 1 records to her name. Her high notes sound like bird calls. INCREDIBLE.

WHAT IS THIS? Paul should definitely be number 1! how is Jackie Evancho top? Roy Orbison and Elton John should also be much higher up on the list.

Paul is a better WRITER than anybody!

12 Roy Orbison Roy Kelton Orbison, professionally known as Roy Orbison, nicknamed Big O, was an American singer, songwriter, guitarist, and musician, mostly known for his complex voice and for hits such as, "Oh, Pretty Woman".

The thing with Roy was he could change those octaves effortlessly. He never paused or strained "trying" to climb to those highs or grumble to those lows. He just -would. He would do it mid-note. He was amazing.

Orbison was truly great, but nobody could sing 8 octaves.

13 Bono Paul David Hewson, known by his stage name Bono, is an Irish singer-songwriter, musician, venture capitalist, businessman, and philanthropist. His original nickname was Bono Vox which means "big voice".

Bono has so much passion in his voice. Better than everyone else on this list

14 Tatiana Shmayluk
15 Axl Rose William Bruce Rose Jr., better known as 'Axl Rose', is an American singer born on February 6, 1962, in Lafayette, Indiana. He Is the founder and lead singer of the hard rock band Guns N' Roses. He is a celebrated but controversial figure in the world of rock.

I am in SUPER RAGE MODE right now! Are you guys serious? Axl Rose? He can hit some of the lowest notes ever and the highest notes for a guy. As much as I love Queen and Freddie Mercury, he had a voice that was always the same. For the people who voted for Paul McCartney, I don't know what to say but this is not the right list for you.

Freddie is the best singer of all time but no, he didn't have a vocal range as wide as Axl. Infact, nobody comes close to Axl when it comes to "vocal range". This list just sucks with all illiterate bastards.

Axl Rose literally has a more extensive vocal range than Mariah Carey and she's ranked above him? Just google Axl Rose Octave Range

Elvis is no one in my book almost operatic voice in most songs like its now or never and surrender a better range than Robbie Williams how can they compare the two. Elvis is better by far.

Why only number 15? What injustice. Elvis was and is the greatest entertainer ever.

Nope, his range is pretty limited - 2 octaves, 6-1/2 notes. Even Chad Kroeger's range is better - 3 octaves, 2-1/2 notes.

Just listen to Brutal Love of Tre' (preferably the Live Version)

22 David Lee Roth David Lee Roth is an American rock vocalist, songwriter, actor, author, and former radio personality.

As much of a Queen and Freddie fan I am, I want Chris higher

Put him higher!
