Best Singers of All Time
The Contenders: Page 10
I'm just in love with his lyrics. He is the best lyricist of our century and an amazing singer. Love his music.
He's a great singer! I love his voice and he does it with his heart and this is what is real music! So wonderful!
I haven't heard beautiful voice like his in my life. Thank you so much, James Blunt
Pretty good huh?V 8 Comments
Is Justin Bieber seriously higher on this list than Jimi Hendrix? - thunderstar1124
AHHH! I feared the day when Ross Lynch would be put above JIMI HENDRIX! 256! Get Ross Lynch off this stupid list and put Jimi in the top 20. - therootbeer
Hey therootbeer, your dream came true! ross lynch is below Jimi!V 1 Comment
Why is kylie down here? Shes the best singer
She is amazing! She doesn't have the best vocal but she has an amazing vocal control. Please don't believe the haters that she doesn't sing live. Go and see for yourself
Good my favourite songs by kylie
1. Into the blue
2. Can't get you out of my head
3. Spinning around
Love KYLIE MINOGUE
She deserve at least in top 10V 2 Comments
He should at least be in the top 100 because he is talented but not so good but I guess he is still a legend
Snoop Dogg is a good rapper and for 1 thing for sure about him: he's the Dogg.
I am appalled that I keep finding rappers.
He is the bestV 10 Comments
Elizabeth is not as mean as she is on Victorious. She is a nice person off camera and a good singer. I think Victoria, Ariana, and her should be a girl singing group.
I LOVE ELIZABETH GILLIES! She is talented and kind and amazing at singing!V 3 Comments
in terms of vocal range and the abilities this guy has, patton ***** on a good amount of the people on this list.. his side projects and voice overs are unbelievable, his work is huge in europe and some other random places but the US is infatuated with the constant stream of crap coming through radio/tv and never really grew to accept his stuff.. patton and everything he touches, he always seems to collaborate with amazing musicians, pushes boundaries and helps evolution of the music industry and hopefully he'll get the recognition he deserves in his lifetime... listen to "edge of the world" by faith no more and then listen to "god hates a coward" by tomahawk and you'll see what I'm tryin to say..
I can't believe I have to add Patton to this blasphemous list. Consider the evidence:
1) Scientifically, Patton has the widest vocal range of any pop singer alive at a full six octaves (plus a half-note).
2) His vocal range notwithstanding, his vocal versatility is also second to none. Name another singer who has recorded successful releases in metal, rock, pop, avant-garde, rap, lounge, improvisational, and of course Italian oldies form the 50's and 60's. Heck, he even voiced the creature sounds from the Will Smith film I Am Legend as well as a variety of video games including Portal and Left 4 Dead. The guy can do anything!
Simply the best, a talented artist, a great musician and a terryfic singer, he should be on the top ten. The way he works with his voice is something never seen before, many of his side projects includes different styles, something you won't belive. A real genius!
He should be moved to the top 10 spot.V 16 Comments
Olivia should be in the top ten! She was the totally package! Voice of an angel with an amazing range! She can sing anything! From "If not for you" to "You're the one that I want" to "Magic" to "Physical" to "Twist of fate"! She did it all with such class and she was absolutely beautiful! Today's singer can learn a thing or two from watching her! No gimmicks, no BS no nonsense! She is a true artist a great entertainer and a humble down to earth woman! She never resorted to drugs or alcohol and is such a loving sweet person inside an out! She's a giving, decent human being with a great big heart! I totally adore her and thank God she was the voice of the 70's and 80's!
Amazing range, tone, showmanship, musicality, diction and expression in her voice throughout the decades and many styles of music covered.
voice like an agel and a personalty to match.
She has more no1's than a handful of singersV 1 Comment
His recent work not withstanding, Van Morrison is, without a doubt, the greatest white singer ever to hold a microphone. From Astral Weeks to Hymns To The Silence nobody has come close to matching his vision and vocal power. He taps into things almost no other vocalist has ever reached within a framework of his own unique musical style - pure feeling and spontaneity matched to timeless songwriting. Bitterness and anger poisoned his later work, but nothing can erase the glow of his many, many stupendous masterpieces.
Van the Man. Not only is he one of the finest songwriters in the history of rock, his voice stands out as one of the most amazing as well. He started out almost punk with his early band Them, then amazed us with his pop sound of Brown Eyed Girl. But when he finally took off, it was the voice...the voice that gave you goosebumps as Van sang Madam George, Sweet Thing and Astral Weeks. The voice that entranced you on Moondance, Tupelo Honey, Listen to The Lion, Into the Mysic and so many others. Van Morrison's powerful voice makes him a top 20 singer without any doubt.
Clearly there are people voting here that have no concept of rock history. They are confined to their only little world of pop music. Van Morrison is one of the all time greatest voices in rock music. He's at #158? Insanity! - Storm63
He is the best. We will never forget himV 3 Comments
His vocal range is awesome and I guess a great singer should have a variety of vocal skills and agility. This guy sings with melisma. He was once considered to hae the most trained voice. And its difficult for a dude to sing with ladies, but his artiste sometimes outperform the ladies. He is also an artiste that is almost perfectly on key. He is just amazing. Definitely one of the greatest singers of all time
Mike Shinoda is really an amazing talent and has an incredible voice. He can sing (and rap! ) so softly but also really rock it with Linkin Park and Fort Minor. He's also fantastic live, I've seen him on stage once & loved every single second of the show.
What about Mike? What a joke? He is not in the list of 385 top singers. Mike who can rock with Linkin Park and Rap with Fort Minor. The fans who can die for his voice and had won many awards.
Mike should be in top 20 at least. He can sing like an angel, and he can rap hardcore. He is one of the best singers of all time... 128? You all should be ashamed..
At least put him in top 50. Yeah AT LEAST.V 8 Comments
Mr.Reznor is an infinitely creative personality. His industrial rock creation touches the soul and is unrivalled as compared to rammstein,LP,LB etc.Trent Reznor sings uniquely with trademark whispering in front of the microphone.
Trent Reznor not just sing his voice out loud in purpose to make the song sounds good. He sing for the sake of art, beauty, and the real version of something we call humanity.
Trent Reznor is derived from a made up name of Zoe Trent (from Littlest Pet Shop) and those horrible Reznor dinosaurs (from Super Mario World). - playstationfan66
One of the gods of rock.V 3 Comments
What the hell. Sam's voice hasn't aged one bit in 40 years. He has to be in the top ten.
He is the best singer van halen ever had
Why is David Lee Roth higher than The Red Rocker Sammy Hager... Dave can't sing no more, when Sammy still can
Psy is pretty much only famous because of gangnam style so he isn't really that good
I don't really like him he is talented but only famous for gangnam style and it doesn't really make that much sence
Oh HELL NO! Psy deserves top of the list with Chester Bennington!
The only reason why he is famous is because of the so g Gangnam Style, trust me, but sometimes I can't help listening to Psy because I'm a K popV 17 Comments
What does Pavarotti not have in common with all these other people? (I won't even say "vocalists" because it's debatable whether some on this list have even earned the right to be called that. ) You might say "He's an opera singer" but more importantly - he's the only one who could be placed in front of a group of instrumentalists playing, without a mic, and still stand a chance at making an impression on an audience. And it should be mentioned that to seriously compare him to most of these people, is like comparing a thorough-bred grand national race horse to a pack of mongrel dogs - the prestige and intensity of his consistent vocal training from a young age cannot even begin to be rivaled by this lot!
Who actually believes Pavarotti is inferior to Justin Bieber as a vocalist and performer (unless you're a 12 year old girl)? I don't see how this list can be taken seriously. I'd like to see the singers on this list attempt Ave Maria, and laugh at the fools they'd make of themselves (ex: Beyonce's rendition was pathetic despite her talent, modernizing a classic compromises the artistic quality of the performer as well as the performance). Half these names will be forgotten in ten years, if anyone had even heard of them in the first place, however the King of the High C's will never be forgotten.
How can Luciano Pavarotti be at number 67? That's a disgrace. How many people have the power to bring a man to tears by the sheer magnitude of his voice. It is sad how under appreciated opera is. - daynah
How the heck is he not in the top 5? He is the best. Can Michael Jackson sing Ave Maria or O Sole Mio. I haven't seen Beyoncé or Bruno Mars being known worldwide. Have you ever seen anyone singso beutifuly or stronglyV 25 Comments
i luv loretta soo much!! She and her voice is amazingV 1 Comment
Who the heck is Helena Josefsson? Seriously, people, I want to know!V 2 Comments
John Legend has made a mark upon the music industry that will never be erased. As a six-time GRAMMY Award winner, Legend has garnered respect not only for his chart-topping singles and smooth, velvety vocals, but he has also become one of the last mainstream vanguards of contemporary soul music.
Hey! John Legend is cool! He is his last name! He shouldn't be 214!V 3 Comments
Katy Perry being higher than this guy pretty much proves this list is a joke. This guy is a better singer than most singers in music history. He can reach vocals that are impossible for most singers to reach. He has a great vocal range and he sounds better live than his studio recordings.
Sam is talented he should at least be in the top 20 not in 192
Sam smith has one of the best voices now here in 2014
Why is he so low, money in my mind got second best hits on the score board chart of the decade he just has to be well put up the list at least in the top 25V 13 Comments
