Top Ten Songs With the Most Impressive Vocals

We've all heard at least one song that sent you chills because the vocals were so impressive. Well, here's my list for songs with the best vocals. As always, enjoy!
The Top Ten
1 Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen

This song is famous for it's impressive vocals. At the beginning, it's very melancholy and soothing, then, like "Dreamer Deceiver," things are kicked up a knotch. The opera section started, and it took me breath away. Then an amazing and unforgettable guitar solo comes up, and the song ends the same way that it started. It's, simply put, perfect.

Queen is my favorite band outside metal and Freddie's voice is probably the main reason. This song was overplayed but it's not overrated - it deserves the credits it gets.

Freddie Mercury voice is so incredibly powerful and beautiful. Roger Taylor was very impressive on the Galileos.

The best vocals ever done

2 Dreamer Deceiver - Judas Priest

When I first heard this song...holy cow! The song starts off kind of slow and normal. I was nodding my head, thinking "It's pretty good so far, but nothing too special." The Halford kicked things up a little. I was then smiling, thinking "Wow, this song IS pretty good. I might buy the album after the song ends." Then, it happened. When Halford started singing "We are lost above! " I started shaking, and a few tears escaped my eye. It was that good! If you don't believe me, listen to the song!

Rob Halford is Oh My God and this song reveals his incredible range and many insane vocal skills. One of the best singers ever.

3 Rainbow In the Dark - Dio

I also think this is Dio's best vocal performance although he's always flawless (in Stargazer he's great, too).
@Alpha101 - I think that Dio's range of about 4 octaves is pretty impressive though. For comparison, Pavarotti's range is only 2 octaves, 2-1/2 notes but he sounds amazing within this range. Obviously range is not everything but a wider range is always welcome.

This was, in my opinion, Dio's best song. He didn't have the most impressive vocal range, but he was still a fantastic singer. See for yourself!

4 The Show Must Go On - Queen

I've heard that Freddie Mercury was in very bad condition when singing this song, but if he was, you can't tell it. This is Queen's second most impressive song, and my personal favorite. Give it a listen!

I absolutely love this song. Freddie was ill and his vocals were better than ever!

Dying of Aids, and still sang his heart out. What a man!

Maybe my personal favorite, too.

5 Dream On - Aerosmith

Aerosmith's best song, and Perry is the reason why. The moment where he starts screaming "Dream on! " still sends shutters down my spine every time.

The demon of screaming. Enough said.

A precious song - all time favorite.

6 Bridge Over Troubled Water - Simon & Garfunkel
7 My Last Sunrise - Demons & Wizards

Hansi of Blind Guardian sings this - his vocals are always impressive but this song left me in awe.

8 This Night - Filo & Peri

Never thought I'd find my favorite trance track in a best vocal playlist

9 My Girl - David Ruffin

Is there anybody anywhere who does not love this song? Written by Smokey Robinson, who was smart enough to know he had pure gold, he gave it to the Temptations for the TLC they, and especially lead singer Ruffin could give it. No yelling, no histrionics, no melismatic over-singing, just the most mellifluous sound imaginable.

10 She's Leaving Home - The Beatles

John and Paul perform a memorable duet together, and the song is now considered to be one of the Beatles' best.

The Contenders
11 Lie Down In Darkness - Moby

Every melancholy chord in this song is perfection.

12 Waiting for the Night - Armin van Buuren
13 Keeper of the Seven Keys - Helloween
14 The Summer Wind - Frank Sinatra
15 On Fire - Luke Bond
16 Snowblind - Au5
17 Hallelujah - Leonard Cohen
18 Emotionally Yours - The O'Jays
19 Nessun Dorma - Luciano Pavarotti

Other than possibly Elvis Presley or Levi Stubbs, there is not another name on this list that could stand onstage with Luciano Pavarotti and not be blown out into the audience. He had a chest like a bull elephant, and was easily the most powerful singer in history. Ask anyone with a college degree in music, and they will tell you this guy is the most impressive singer of the past 100 years.

Its funny to think that anyone else could be considered impressive when compared to Pavarotti. Good rock and metal singers can get your blood flowing, but Il Maestro was on another level, kind of like comparing Michael Jordan to players on a Middle-School All-Star team.

20 Mirror - Mercyful Fate

This is the only song I've ever heard from the group, probably for the best, but it's also one of my favorite metal songs of all time. The vocals in this particular song blew me away. Listen to the song, and you be the judge.

21 Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath

While Ozzy is not known for his singing skills, he does a fantastic job with this song. He makes this song possibly the most horrific sounding in metal history. If you listen to it without getting goosebumps or shudders down you spine, then you must be Lucifer himself!

22 Oh! Darling - The Beatles

The best rock vocal ever. Name a vocal with more heart, emotion and power. You probably can't

23 Emperor's New Clothes - Panic! at the Disco

This song is truly incredible and Brendon Urie's vocal range is incredibly expressed though this song!

Simply amazing

24 I Heard It Through the Grapevine - Marvin Gaye

Marvin is spinning in his grave every time somebody says they like Kanye West.

25 Fallen - Electus

Seriously, the vocals from Charlotte Haining mixed with the chilling dub is bound to rattle your spine.
