Top 10 Songs You Discovered Thanks to TheTopTens
People share tons of music on The Top Tens and probably everybody found new songs that liked.Let's hear these songs.
I probably heard this song before but didn't pay attention to its uniqueness - it has 5 solos on 4 instruments.
I gave it a listen thanks to comments on the list "Top Ten Deep Purple Songs". Now it's one of my favorite Deep Purple songs.
Never paid attention to Nickelback before the Top Tens but Nickelback were so much criticized and hated that I checked them out. They are not my cup of tea but I fell in love with this song - I love hard rock and this is pure hard rock (not post-grunge).
@ryanrimmel: haha - yes, I liked this song. I should write a post "My life before and after The Top Tens", LOL
Lol... Nickelback
I suddenly liked this song when somebody added it to one of my lists.
By the way, there aren't many metal songs on my current list because I knew lots of metal songs before the Top Tens. I wouldn't say I discovered here a metal song that blew my mind.
Actually, I found it on YouTube, and is now my second favorite Nightwish song next to Stargazers.
Nightwish for the win!
@IronSabbathPriest - I like astronomy, too. I found these planet songs while I was making the list "Top 10 Songs That Mention Names of Planets, Moons, Constellations and Stars In the Title".
I didn't remember the exact title of a Hendrix song with Neptune in the title so I YouTubed "Jimi Hendrix - Neptune" and the correct title was "Valleys of Neptune". But I also noticed the suggested songs by a band that did the whole Solar System! I liked these planet songs and made the list "Best Songs by Sleeping at Last Named After Planets, Stars and Moons".
So astronomy and music, 2 in 1. I love it.
This band and their planet songs are very interesting - considering my passion for astronomy, which may not be as obvious on this site however I've made a few lists related to the subject of astronomy.
I found it accidentally on YouTube while making a Top 10 list. I also liked their song Saturn and eventually made a Top 10 list about this band (Sleeping at Last).
I knew many other songs but not this one - a very funny song, too.
Speaking of Moby, We Are All Made of Stars was another-ahem-stellar song that I discovered through this site as well (thanks)!
I've heard of this song thanks to this list and even though it's not my typical music genre I really liked it.
Voting for this simply because it's the only song on this list I discovered through TTT. It's also pretty great.
I've literally listened to this at least once a day since my great friend Positron "Pos" Wildhawk introduced me to it. Thank you so much!
I think I heard it on the radio but never knew the artist. Somebody added it to one of my lists and I heard the sample. It's not my type of music but there is something I like in this song - maybe the riff and the rhythm.
Nothing special but sometimes I like it.
Again, I probably heard it before but IronSabbathPriest helped me pay more attention.
I don't like the song but I like the fact that Lady Gaga mentioned Heavy Metal, haha. Before the Top Tens, I didn't know this song existed.
Recently found this one, but it wasn't because of this site. I think it's not nearly as good as people make it out to be, but it's still a pretty great song.
Actually I didn't discover this thanks to TheTopTens.
I take sole credit for this. You're all welcome.
EDIT: I'm changing my mind - somebody added a song I didn't know but liked better than Good Riddance (Extreme Ways - Moby). So Extreme Ways by Moby goes to my Top 10 new songs. Not my type of music in general but a quite pleasant song. I needed some dance songs because you can't dance to metal...
I am running out of ideas - the singer's voice is too nasal to my taste but I can tolerate this song.
