101 New Year's Day - U2 New Year's Day - U2

Favourite U2 song ever. Should be in top ten

102 Jailhouse Rock - Elvis Presley Jailhouse Rock - Elvis Presley

Wow I am surprised this song is not higher. There's a lot of songs I never even heard of above this one. I will check them out on the Tube but really how many people across all generations know Eminem?

This song rocks and should be number 1 - jolow123

103 Strobe - Deadmau5 Strobe - Deadmau5

Truly the greatest song ever composed. Deadmau5 gives every portion of this near 11 minute song an incredible amount of attention, giving this song a ton of emotion and giving you a strong sense of empowerment. This song brings me close to tears of joy at the beginning, than has me dancing by the beat drop. This is truly music, right here. - kinderfall1

I'm extremely surprised but very happy that this masterpiece made if onto this list. In my opinion, this is top 10 quality. Truly one of the most iconic and most emotionally moving songs I can remember. The full 10 minutes is 3000% worth listening to to get the full feeling. To the top 100 and beyond for deadmau5!

I looked through 5 pages on the slowest wifi ever to find and vote for this. I'm really disappointed with how low this Mona Lisa of edm is on the list. This song will take you on an unforgettable journey. It might be long, it might have no lyrics, but every second of this gem is worth it. You will never hear anything quite like it.

I don't know which song this is. I might know the tune.'does the tune sound like a ghostly remix?

104 Wonderwall - Oasis Wonderwall - Oasis

Wonderwall is the only song that was able to captivate me from beginning to end. In every song that I hear, I tend to have favorite parts & others that I don't really like all that much- sometimes it's chorus, the lyrics in the middle, the music.. Something HAS to be a little off 'cause nothing is perfect. Wait- Wonderwall just proved that THERE IS by existing!
It was the first song I heard by Oasis, and I was surprised to find that this was the only song I really liked among their works. The rest of their music was sure good, but not exactly my kind of thing, so I can't say I'm a fan of Oasis- just a fan of their best song EVER.

When they wrote this song they were bound to do wonders in the coming ages and they did too. Too bad they broke up. This songs enlarges my beady eyes!

The best song ever in the world forever and ever!, Oasis rocks my life, follow me for all the way of my life...

Oasis. They're better than the Beatles

Ringo Starr would probably agree, because his son was in the band and his dad would say his son is better. All dads are like this. - Powerfultekin

105 Californication - Red Hot Chili Peppers Californication - Red Hot Chili Peppers

What a song... Soft and complex... Definitely the Chili Peppers Best song.

No, this is not true... The best song by one of the best bands in the world, placed this far! Every aspect of this song is just genius, including the guitar solo, the always amazing Flea bass, Kiedis' performance, and the overall message. I wish it was placed at least in the top 30--It deserves so!

I never get tired of this songs solo, if you focus you feel a slightly feeling of getting stoned.

This song just captivates you in a way like no other. The guitar solo is defiantly one of the best I've heard and the lyrics just bring you in

107 Someone Like You - Adele Someone Like You - Adele

Though this is new song competing with classics, it's got all it needs to become a classic: brilliant lryics, real music and a singer who packs a punch. I have never in my life felt such raw emotion come from a singer. The fears and pains felt... Relatable is an understatement. I have no doubts that this is a song that will go down in history.

I love adele because it means me when my family is about xx

I put down new music, but will compliment it when it is deserving. Adele is very deserving. She co-wrote this song with possibly the best songwriter today, Minneapolis' own Dan Wilson.

YES. Adele is an amazing singing. Her voice shows true emotion.

110 I Don't Want to Miss a Thing - Aerosmith I Don't Want to Miss a Thing - Aerosmith

One of the Best Songs EVER!
Out of the best film too
- Shubbie999

Love the band, not sure why steven tyler had to judge in AI. Lots of their songs are great. Simple but it'll stay in you forever.

I danced with my daughter on her wedding day to this song. If you love someone, this song touches all aspects of that feeling we call LOVE!
Aerosmith has been a band from the 70s which I feel is the best years for rock music. They changed with the times yet kept that great chemistry they have always had.

The song that helped Tomonobu Itagaki (former head of Team Ninja) through depression. I get goosebumps whenever it comes on and I will play it at my wedding.

111 Uptown Funk - Mark Ronson Uptown Funk - Mark Ronson

Worst song ever worst song ever

People have to stop voting for songs they like at the time. This is a list of songs which stand the test of time and then some. - Songsta41

This song isn't really that bad, but let's consider that the lyrics were not well thought of. But anyway, it's still really catchy and isn't much of a disgrace.

Mind you it has the best saxophonist ever in it

112 What's Going On - Marvin Gaye What's Going On - Marvin Gaye

Motown.. Motown.. Motown one of the leaders of his era. Again who are these people that think Eminem is so much better than a Marvin Gaye and so many others that have been pushed down in the top 100 songs..REALLY? All I can say is sorry your ears deceive you so badly, the talent then is far and above the small pool that is out here now. I am glad country singing still knows that there are instruments used in a song, not soundboards and fake beats and synthesized everything. I am not old, I just appreciate true talent and musicians who play can music.

As relevant today as when Marvin composed the song, a brilliant look at a world in trouble, each lyric, chord and note is perfectly balanced to deliver the message of the song.

THe most soulful and eloquent song of it's time, and it still holds strong despite 40-some years of amazing music. THere is literally nothing wrong with this song, and it transports you out of life for a brief three minutes, just like any great songs should.

Marvin changed the way music was made with this classic. Over dubbing his own voice more than once to produce an amazing sound. The words are also relevant today.

117 Paint It Black - The Rolling Stones Paint It Black - The Rolling Stones

A typical Stones song with a fantastic beat

It's goth-esque, but not depressing. It's still got such a rock and roll feel to it.

I can't believe that The Rolling Stones. Paint It Black stands at the last place, This is a great song to sing, have a lot of meanings in it and it is just so phenomenal and I am sure The Rolling Stones have more fans than these hacky Tokio Hotel which stands at #11!

Come on.

120 California Dreamin' - The Mamas & The Papas California Dreamin' - The Mamas & The Papas

I can't believe this song isn't on here. The song is #89 in Rolling Stone's list of The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time, and it's been covered by every artist imaginable.

It's my favorite song of all time because I love California, the timeless, soul-warming melody that is both sad and hopeful and makes me tear up every time I hear it.

I would've thought the beach boys version would be on here but this is a great song

Just Love the Mommas and the Poppas

Good Song by the Mamma and the Papas!
