Top 10 Tennessee Titans of All Time
This is a list top 10 Titans from 1999 to the present day, and we're sticking strictly to the Titans era - so, no Houston Oilers in this conversation. This is for those Titans who have stood out above the rest, the players who have excelled on the field and become legends in their own right.Who do you think should be honored among the Titans' greatest? Your opinion will contribute to celebrating those who have elevated the game of football, showcasing skill, determination, and the spirit of the Titans.
Numero uno without a doubt. He had a Hall of Fame career with the Titans. He set the standard for toughness at the QB position. The Titans have suffered at QB since he was released. The memories will always remain. R.I.P #9!
The best QB in Titans history... Nothing else to say.
McNair is the best QB for the Titans.
10,441 rushing yards, 68 TD's, 4 Pro Bowls, OROY award winner, AND in the Titans HOF. Definitely deserved this high of a spot on this list.
CJ2K, what else do I have to say. He is the 5th man to ever rush for 2,000 yards in a season. Has already rushed for 4,000 plus yards. IN HIS 3RD SEASON! He won the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2008 and won the 2009 NFL Offensive Player of the Year. Blinding 4.2 speed, one of the most elusive backs to ever play the game. And he hasn't even hit his prime yet. He will surely be higher in the years to come.
That is my best all-time even though George was my fave first.
He is my favorite player of all time.
Nobody suited up for more games than Matthews. One of the greatest offensive linemen of all time. Truly an iron man. He played every single position on the line. One of the true greats.
Bruce should be a contender for top three players because of his longevity and consistent Pro-Bowler from a pedigree of Hall of Famers.
You see, Marcus is a dual-threat quarterback, not as good as Mike Vick, but he will be one day. I think that whenever Tom Brady is out of the league, the Titans will be one of the most feared teams in the league, and I think he will lead them to a Super Bowl. He is also a Christian, so he has the power of God with him. All the Titans need is a fresher TE to replace Delanie Walker and some new WRs.
Even with 6 games under his belt, he has thrown more TD's than Young and Locker. Future top ten in the making.
One of the most underrated players at his position, he's still consistently destroying and creating havoc in a 4-3 and in a 3-4. High motor and never-stop attitude. He's one of the linchpins and a leader for a team that is struggling to prove themselves.
He is one of the top DTs in the NFL. Last year, Casey was in the top 100 players. 10.5 sacks as a DT is unheard of. Teams have trouble running at him. He is constantly double-teamed. He has only been in the NFL a few years but he will end up near the top. For now, he should be 9 or higher.
He was the most electrifying defender to play the game. He gave another level of toughness to the Titans' D.
Drafted out of Florida with the 16th overall pick by the Titans, THE FREAK took the NFL by storm in his rookie season, recording 14.5 sacks, a rookie record. Needless to say, he was the NFL's 1999 Defensive Rookie of the Year. One of the most feared pass rushers of the new millennium, a true force at defensive end.
Why isn't he in the top ten? This dude is a beast at wideout.
Mason, I don't understand how you are #9 on this list. If you've seen this list, I know you feel disrespected, but as a real die-hard Titan fan from the beginning, I think you should be #4 on this list. You, Bulluck, George, Wycheck, and McNair are the 5 best Titans to me.
Perennial All-Pro receiver caught on first as a kick return specialist. Eventually became the number 1 wideout. Had a string of 1,000-yard seasons.
One of the most underrated tight ends in the NFL's history, he led the Titans in receptions from 1997-2003. He was Steve McNair's security blanket and premier go-to guy.
Steve McNair's successor won the NFL Rookie of the Year in 2006. A true scrambling QB, he won the national title for Texas in 2005 and was drafted 3rd overall by the Titans. He holds a 33-17 record as a starter. However, off-the-field issues and questionable character have clouded this once-promising pro. Maybe he will get it together. Vince is the real deal.
He scrambles to victory. He throws darts. I love Vince Young.
Best QB for the Titans of all time.
Keith should be #3. How can Mariota be 7 spots ahead of Bulluck when he only played 1 season and missed games? Titan fans disappointed me with this voting. Bulluck was the heart and soul of our defense for at least 8 out of the 10 years he played for us. He might have never been the best linebacker of that generation, but he was our leader and the best player on our defense.
Run-stopping, pass-covering monster at linebacker, self-proclaimed "Mr. Monday Night," Bulluck was drafted by the Titans in 2001 out of Syracuse University. He is one of the greatest Titan linebackers of all time.
Look how he pushed earl thomas away like he was nothing.
Extremely underrated player.
A shutdown corner in every sense of the word, Rolle recorded 29 INTs as a Titan from '98-'05. Quarterbacks always thought twice about throwing the ball anywhere near #21. A true Titan great.
"Pacman" was probably one of the best return specialists for the Titans. He was the 6th overall pick in the 2005 Draft out of West Virginia, where he was the Big East Special Teams Player of the Year in his senior year and a First Team All-Big East and a Second Team All-Big East in 2004 and 2003. As a Titan, he was on the PFWA All-Rookie Team.
Mark my words, he will be a RED ZONE, 3rd down threat to score a touchdown. This dude is a walking big target!
