Fantastic songwriter, performer--the best live performer delivers her songs with conviction, passion, sincerity and fire! Audiences loved HER!V1 Comment
Brody Dalle inspires me so much, I started playing guitar because of her and Courtney Love, Brody Dalle is definitely a better musician than Hayley Williams or Amy Lee (I don't mention others on top ten because either I don't know them or they are legends). In my opinion Brody should be number 1. The Distillers were amazing! - dianajorge2
Sharon is the hottest Woman in Rock. She is absolutely gorgeous and is also beautiful on the inside.
She has such great voice, and the band always has amazing songs! Deep meaning... perfection!
Sharon is the ultimate Rock Chick. Just watch Within Temptation live to see what I mean.
Sharon is number oneV4 Comments
The daughter of the guy who practically created heavy metal; Ozzy Osbourne!
I love her dad, the great, the amazing, OZZY OSBOURNE!
Really, no Sheryl Crow? I think Sheryl Crow's got it going on over Kelly Osbourne, Demi Lovato, or even Kim Carnes. Thanks for adding Nina Hagen, even though I wouldn't call her a rocker. Bonnie Raitt is a fantastic guitarist, but I hesitate to call her a rocker... maybe Blues-inspired rock. Thanks for the list.
Definitely talented. Singer/songwriter/guitarist/ keyboardist/ pianist - cranfan4ever
Another lady rocker from Indonesia: Nicky Astria, Anggun, Mel Shandy, Inka ChristieV2 Comments
Iconic, beautiful voice, captivating presence, expressive face, and some of the best music videos I have ever seen. - MegBaX
She is bold and wild (her voice, her look, her presence. ) She mixes punk and rock with operaic vocals, and has a distinctive and unique sound. She is known as the Mother of Punk. Her voice can do anything. - MegBaX
A real vocal monster.
Fearless, outstanding and totally true to herself; everything a great rocker needs.
Nunsexmonkrock is by far one of the most unique and best albums ever recorded
Her musical styles are as wide ranged as her voice. From the first 2 albums with the Nina Hagen Band (later known as Spliff Radio Show, then just Spliff), a mixture of rock and punk (with occasionally some reggae), to the totally mind-blowing, experimental first solo-album 'Nunsexmonkrock', to an array of albums, featuring Indian folk music, Big Band- Jazz/Swing, Dance and Techno and Gospel (Personal Jesus), she is one of the most unique artists on this planet. Also check out her incredible collaborations with Apocalyptica, Lene Lovich, Rosenstolz, Adamski, S.U.N. project and many others, even with Lemmy. And, last not least, dozens of excellent covers, E.G. white punks on dope, Good Vibrations, Sunday Morning, Lucky Number, My Way, Knockin' on heaven's door, Giant Step, Born to die in Berlin, Viva Las Vegas, Spirit in the sky and many more. Should be in Top 10.
Ignoring her debut-single 'I saw Mommy kissing Santa Claus'('76), her debut-album incl. A version of 'I think we're alone now', far better than Tiffany's number 1 hit, the UK-No.3-hit 'Lucky Number' and great tracks 'Home' and 'Too tender to touch'. 2nd album 'Flex' had the brilliant 'Bird Song', 'Angels', 'The Night' and 'What will I do without you'. Later releases never reached the quality of the first two albums, but singles 'It's you, only you', 'The Wicked Witch' and collaboration-single with Nina Hagen 'Don't kill the animals' are still well worth listening to. A remarkable, terribly overlooked artist.
She's starting from below and now we can see that she success with her carrier..
