Top 10 Best Newspapers in the World

Newspapers have been an essential part of daily life for centuries, shaping how you understand the wider world. While many of us get our news in a digital format nowadays, the tradition of a well-crafted print newspaper remains strong.

From in-depth international investigative reporting to local stories with heart, a great newspaper has the power to inform, entertain, and move you to action.
The Top Ten
1 The New York Times (USA)

I like this newspaper so much that there is not a single day when I do not open this website to get updated. The best part of this newspaper that draws me in is its editorial section.

I like this newspaper because it provides information on all of the USA and on the stock market as well.

Land of democracy. One of the best newspapers in the world, bringing glory to the USA.

2 Hindustan Times (India)

I found some standardization in this newspaper. That's why it draws me to read it. I often read this paper to improve my own understanding of standardization. I also encourage my friends to read this regularly.

Non-biased and true, but it needs more international recognition. The journalists should take up more responsibility to present India in a better light and prove that India is not what the West thinks.

More readable and better content than the Times of India. The editorial column is much better.

3 The Wall Street Journal (USA) The Wall Street Journal is an American business-focused, English-language international daily newspaper. Published by Dow Jones & Company, it is one of the largest newspapers in the United States and has a global readership.

The only centrist newspaper in America. The New York Times is embarrassingly biased.

4 The Sydney Morning Herald (Australia)

Their journalists take pride in professional objectivity and work to neutralize biased points of view.

5 The St. Petersburg Times (USA)
6 The Chicago Tribune (USA)
7 Japan Today (Japan)
8 The Financial Times (UK)

England, the land of information. I always like it.

Independent critical thinking and writing.

9 The Washington Post (USA)

Without a doubt, this newspaper is the most accurate and most objective of all the English-language newspapers being circulated across the world. The news and views of the editors and reporters are simply accurate and objective.

I consider the Washington Post to be a very influential newspaper.

10 The Independent (UK)

Sure, the main paper is gone, but there's still "I," and it's worth the 50p for it.

The Contenders
11 The Times of India (India)

The world's highest-circulated English paper - obviously the best! Among English-speaking people around the world, The Times of India has the highest circulation.

It is the most versatile newspaper, readable and imperative for all ages. It should be at the top.

Highest subscription. Great content. Impartial. One of the best out there.

12 The Sun (UK)
13 Der Spiegel (Germany)

Pretty design, variety of content, and well-written articles.

14 The Hindu (India)

The stories are not based on what will generate revenue or catch more eyeballs, unlike what TOI and recently Hindustan Times have been doing. They are based on the seriousness of the issue and accuracy.

The content and the quality of English are very rich, and it is the oldest newspaper in India.

15 France Presse (France)
16 USA Today (USA) USA Today is an internationally distributed American daily middle-market newspaper that serves as the flagship publication of its owner, the Gannett Company.

USA Today is the best newspaper in the world. It covers great and under-reported stories around the globe.

17 The Toronto Star (Canada)
18 Corriere della Sera (Italy)
19 Dawn (Pakistan)

I found standardization in this newspaper. This newspaper is the most accurate and most objective of all the English-language newspapers being circulated across the world.

If you walk across the street and ask any ordinary Pakistani which English newspaper he would prefer (if he even reads one), he would answer, "Dawn." Hands down!

20 The Los Angeles Times (USA)

This is a reference-quality newspaper that is credible, with great local, national, and world coverage. For me, it's in the same league as The New York Times and The Washington Post, but with a better online presence.

21 The Guardian (UK)

I think The Guardian is an excellent newspaper. It's easy to read on the Internet, and its printed version is also good. I just can't help reading it daily. Most journalists are very good and reliable opinion makers.

Presents stories well. Opinion is in most articles but never at the forefront. It uses plenty of quotes and always has something interesting to read about.

Much more informative and thorough. Much more critical. You will read information not usually found in other newspapers.

22 Amar Desh (Bangladesh)

I love the newspaper in Bangladesh.

23 Dainik Bhaskar (India)
24 The Indian Express (India)

Compared to the other two Indian newspapers - Times of India and Hindustan Times - it's more impartial and intellectually stimulating. The Op-Ed page of The Indian Express is the best among Indian newspapers.

However, because of more manpower and coverage, TOI and HT cover more news items. So, they are good if one is interested in knowing local news, etc.

This brave magazine always brings the truth. We love their articles.

25 The Times (UK)
