Most Tragic Crimes of the 21st Century

Let us never forget the day when all the world could do was watch in horror.

@AggressiveBlaze: You are correct about this being nowhere near as tragic as 9/11. The only reason why I put this so high on the list is because out of the 26 people killed, 20 of them were children under 11 (they were ages 6-7). In all the other massacres and terrorist attacks (except 9/11, where both children and adults were killed) I listed,all (or nearly all) the people killed were adults. I do not mean to sound offensive, but I think the most tragic deaths are the deaths of children ages 10 and younger (I don't know why though). I do not think that Call of Duty contributed to the Sandy Hook shooting, but I can see why your mom will not let you play it.

This is so sad, over 20 children that could have lived great lives were killed by some idiotic 20 year old.

In March of 2003, a 6-year-old girl named Annie McGann Cumpson was killed in a hit-and-run crash on the way to the circus. She was a friend to everyone. A couple years later, a playground dedicated to her was built.

A true loss of innocence

Already on the list.

I mean, come on! That attack claimed the life of a beloved UC Berkeley student.

132 children and 9 adults were massacred by Muslim extremists.

Over 250 innocent civilians killed by a car bomb detonated by ISIS, including over 100 young children.
