Top 10 Most Underrated Pop / Rock Albums

The Top Ten
1 Revolver - The Beatles

Every time I hear this, I'm amazed at two things: how much can be packed into two to two-and-a-half minutes, and how different each song sounds. Taxman is a hard, angry rocker; Eleanor Rigby is a sad but beautiful short story; I'm Only Sleeping is weird, but catchy, and just when you think it's over... here it comes again. Then we get Harison's Indian-influenced Love You To, which is the only song I dislike on the album; Here, There and Everywhere, tender emotional, and beautiful; then childish Yellow Submarine; and close out Side 1 with acid rocker She Said She Said. And Side 2 is just as good! Good Day Sunshine's piano and goofiness starts things off, followed by the daring double guitar line of And Your Bird Can Sing and the tearful For No One with its mellow horn part. Doctor Robert, which is rather obviously drug influenced, comes next, and then Harrison's I Want To Tell You, with its disonances. Finally we close the album with two very contrasting tracks: Got To Get You Into My ...more

11 Ocean Eyes - Owl City

The greatest thing of this is I didn't add it! However, I admit that Ocean Eyes as an album sucks. Each song is so different to the other! Hello Seattle is terrible, and On the wing and the saltwater room are completely different to the other songs of the album! However, if taken each song individually, they are amazing! Mosto of them, at least.
