Top 10 Video Game Boss Themes

21Alphys Takes Action - Undertale

Really, REALLY underrated song and probably the all-time greatest and most jaw-droppingly epic usage of leitmotif I've ever heard.

Honestly, both the song and fight kind of put Sans' to shame. - xandermartin98

26One Winged Angel - Kingdom Hearts 2
27Id (Purpose) - Fire Emblem Awakening

Great song, not to mention it plays when you fight yourself from the future on the back of a dragon god - izayaorihara

28King Neptune - The Spongebob Squarepants Movie

Boss summary: You're fighting a mind-controlled god in the krusty krab (which kinda turned into a rock-and-roll concert) with rock-and-roll music. Do I need to say anything else?

29The Ultimate Show - Super Paper Mario

I was going to vote kirby 64 but this theam is much cooler... And the boss too! - power341

30Demon Lord Ninetails - Okami
31Zanza - Xenoblade Chronicles

That ominous beginning lets you know that this god is not messing around, and then the jazz piano kicks in. Normally it would be considered terrible once that happens, but the way in which it's played is so moving. Then the chorus and electric guitar happen, and then you KNOW you are dealing with a god. Then it turns sad, almost pitiful, even. It serves to tell the tragedy of a man who wanted to be a god, succeeded, but is now consumed by his own power, and is a hypocrite in saying the Hons have no right to be a god, when they have been through much more than Zanza has ever seen. It includes all of the instruments that immediately make something awesome, like electric guitars, violins, and an ominous chorus that ties the whole theme together.

32Waka - Okami

Absolutely Waka! Okami fan for life! I purposely let battles in this game go longer due to how incredible the music is! Love it - micks

Gets very climatic once you encounter Sturmgiest. Gets very uplifting once he's dead.
