Vocaloids Most Likely to Overtake Hatsune Miku

Okay, even the most passionate Kagamine supporter will have to admit that Miku has been the most popular. So popular that many fans of other vocaloids have declared revolution, that Miku's too popular and that the other vocaloids never get any attention. So for the rest of us, here's a list without the annoying reminder that Miku's the "best". Who's the next best diva?
The Top Ten
1 Kagamine Len Kagamine Len is a Japanese male Vocaloid2 developed by Crypton Future Media and voiced by Shimoda Asami. He was originally released along with Kagamine Rin on December 27, 2007 as Kagamine Rin/Len (CV02), but had the updates of Kagamine Rin/Len (CV02) Act 2 (on July 18, 2008), Kagamine Rin/Len Append (on December 27, 2010), and Kagamine Rin/Len V4X and Kagamine Rin/Len V4 English, who spoke English... read more

Okay, I am a die hard miku fan. ( Please don't kill me Q.Q)

But the second best vocaloid is definitely Len. Nobody else can pull off all genres like Len. I mean, come on. He can do sexy and cute. Rin is all cutie and Luka is very mature.

Plus, I have a major crush on len, amd so do many girls because he is the perfected version of teen boy singer. And they are the one's who conquer all girls hearts. So, he has won all popularity contests.

Back to len, seeing as he is the twin of rin, it makes sense to have the same voice artist. And it had to be a girl, cause teenage boys have a shrill voice and it would have been really difficult to modulate a guys voice for Rin.

And since the most popular girl will always be Miku, so Rin couldn't have got that crown. But it makes sense that Len is as popular as Miku because he is a guy, making him different.

Now, to being a typical teenage girl, I LOVE LEN! Oh my, he be daymm fine! So smexy!

2 Kagamine Rin Kagamine Rin & Len are humanoid personas voiced by a singing synthesizer application developed by Crypton Future Media, headquartered in Sapporo, Japan.

Crypton Future Media designed Rin Kagamine SPECIFICALLY to surpass Miku Hatsune! That's why she is a TEENAGER! And sorry Len. Kagamine Len was a last-minute add-on!

They were gonna release Rin by herself, but the fans' outcries for a boy spurred them to create Len! They made two character's at once, with the same voice actress (Asama Shimodo)!

It was rushed. That's why Len originally sounded like a girl. That is also why the Vocal Quality WAS sub-par.

Without Len, Rin might have already surpassed Miku!

I am not bashing Len (apparently a shota). Without him, we would not have had the Story of Evil, Trick and Treat, etc. I just think it was time Rin got her due.

If the twins/lovers/reflections rose together, I would be all the more happy! It just wasn't an option at this time.

I stand under the yellow Kagamine Flag, strong and proud. It is a Revolution!

The motto of this Revolution is "Okay, no question: Green is the Enemy"

(In Japan, teal is a shade of green, not blue, so Miku is green)!

3 IA IA is a humanoid persona voiced by a singing synthesizer application developed by 1st Place Co., Ltd., headquartered in Meguro, Japan. They use Yamaha Corporation's Vocaloid 3 singing synthesizer technology. Her voice is sampled by Lia.

IA is very very popular among non-Crypton Vocaloids. She has a beautiful voice and when used right she can sound like a goddess, surpassing even the hoomans. I think there's even IA English confirmed to come soon! Not only will she have a Japanese voicebank, but now an English one, increasing her chances of surpassing Gumi and other Cryptonloids that already have an English voicebank. She is perfect I tell you!

With an English voicebank, IA can be possible of imitating sounds from other languages! (Of course this goes to all English voicebanks, and MAIKA with her Spanish + extra phonemes voicebank) IA might also make ONE more known as well, and maybe CeVIO in general! IA and ONE will take over woo!

Just listen to six trillion years and a night, tori no uta and you will understand
Why I voted for her. Ia has an amazing voice. These songs have such an amazing
Story behind them. And her voice just enraptures them and make them as unique
As they can be. Although, I guess it is normal that Miku is much more popular
Then her since she was created before her.

4 Megurine Luka Megurine Luka is a humanoid persona voiced by a singing synthesizer application developed by Crypton Future Media, headquartered in Sapporo, Japan.

Megurine Luka is deserving of some recognition. So what if her outfit isn't school uniform based like Miku's, Rin's or Len's? Her's is unique and none of them have a beautiful sapphire gem like her! I don't hate Miku, or any other Vocaloids, but I do think Luka should have her time in the spotlight because to be honest I think Miku is taking it away from everyone. Luka's song have meanings and some of Miku's songs don't have any meaning at all. Luka doesn't really sing about herself and if she does it's not prideful things. That just shows how kind-hearted she is and that she doesn't think about herself. Miku may have a better voice and outfit, but Luka by far has the better lyrics and personality. Luka also looks, dare I say, nicer. Her hair is really pretty and so are her eyes. I don't hate Miku, but she's had her time in the spotlight - now it's Luka's turn.

Luka is different than the other vocaloids. She has the most
class and she is just so elegantly mysterious. Not to mention her maturity and the songs they give her. They all send out a great message. Funny story, Luka IS my favorite, but she wasn't right of the bat. I actually liked Kasane Teto first, but I was falsely informed. I looked up "pink haired vocaloid", meaning Teto. But I found Luka and then called Teto, Luka. But then I figured out my mistake and Luka was my favorite. Her songs are about her questioning life or getting over a heart brake. She represents what we need in society. Miku is great at this too, but not in the dramatic way, like when she sung "Irony" it just was a no for her voice. Luka could have pulls dit off. But Miku is a more happy sounding vocaloid. She represents youth and happiness. Luka represents drama and love. I personally think Luka could have surpassed Miku easily. On lots of lists she is number one.

5 GUMI GUMI is a female Vocaloid created by Internet Co., Ltd. She is the most popular non-Crypton Vocaloid of all time. She is voiced by Megumi Nakajima.

Although I believe Gumi would be able to surpass Miku partly because she's my favorite vocaloid of all time, it's also because she's more flexible. So far, I've seen her (or rather heard her) sing in 4 different languages. Namely Japanese, English, Filipino and Spanish. Gumi is also the second most popular, I believe. I wouldn't be surprised if she got tied with Miku. Turning towards the vocals, it's a lot more human. By "human", I mean it sounds smoother and more natural. Her voicebank goes well with sorts of songs. Slow, fast, bouncy, smooth, techno, etc.

To sum it up, Gumi's versatility makes her stand out.

Gumi is like the older version of Miku's voice, it's a little high pitched and low pitched. She should over throw Luka. Like hell yeah. She has an awesome appearance. And in her videos, she was always in those complicated, high school, girl.

Her appearance. She seems like the girl whose likely to sing Regret Message. But hey, she sings something that isn't. About being an otaku, made clones of herself, made herself and everybody disappear, and so much more!

Gumi has a clear voice, and she doesn't have many concert. So, why not? She's fluent in English.

As in short, she's awesome and was most likely to overthrow Luka by suprise.

6 Kamui Gakupo Gackpoid, is a software product developed by Internet Co., Ltd. for the Vocaloid software. His voice is sampled from Japanese singer and actor Gackt. The mascot of the software is called Camui Gackpo, after Gackt's alias name.

Besides the fact that I love his voice, he kinda reminds me of a samurai (his hairstyle and the image of him provided to the left).

I doubt he'll beat Miku in popularity, but he's definitely my favorite.

He sounds like the most realistic Vocaloid in my opinion, and I absolutely love his voice. Also purple is my favourite colour, and how can we forget his awesome voice provider?

I voted this because I know that one day, Gakupo will rise to the top because eventually the Gakupo fan base will overtake Miku's. It's only a matter of time. But then again, that's with any Vocaloid

7 Kasane Teto Kasane Teto is a singing synthesizer and virtual star. She appeared as a prank "new vocaloid" companion to Hatsune Miku on April Fool's day 2008. Even though she wasn't a real Vocaloid, her character was so catchy her fans never forgot about her. So her prank creators gave her a complete voice, using the freeware singing synthesizer UTAU. Talented producers were able to create vocals ranging from... read more

Kasane Teto is adorable! And I would buy her voice bank if she was a Vocaloid right when it came out. Her design is so cute! Not to mention she has a very great voice, convincing us Vocaloid fans that she was a Vocaloid when she came out, truly amazing!

Teto's voice sounds really cute! Plus, cosplay of her would be really easy to assemble, and It's easy to make fan art of her! Just because she's an UTAU doesn't mean that she's not as good as a real VOCALOID! Also, she has good taste in food. French bread is DELICIOUS!

Teto. I know you want to be a Vocaloid... But... First, Hit Miku with your French bread and let people SeeU as a Queen. You deserve it. Heck, you might have a Vocaloid status.. But of course Miku still is popular.

8 Akita Neru Akita Neru (亞北ネル (あきたねる)) is a FANLOID derivative character. She is acknowledged by Crypton Future Media, Inc., the publisher of the Character Vocal Series for VOCALOID2, for commercial use.

Neru is cool, but she's a derivative, which means to use her in a song you have to use Miku's voice bank. It would be kind of ironic, if Akita Neru became more popular than Miku, but only fueled her voicebank sales.

The funny thing is that, I fell in love with Vocaloid, because of Neru. I got MMD even though I did not know what Vocaloid was, and used only HER model. She was my favourite, even though she wasnt a real Vocaloid.

I love Neru so much
First of all, I really enjoy the irony in her songs, it's original.
I really love how Akita Neru dosen't have too much songs. I mean, Miku have so much that it's confusing.
And, I love ALL of Neru songs. ALL of them. It's waaay better that having 10000 songs and 10 good songs.

9 Otomachi Una Otomachi Una, sometimes referred to as Una Otomachi, is a female Vocaloid created by Internet Co., Ltd and MTK Inc. She is voiced by Aimi Tanaka.

She had a good start and got featured in NicoNico cho party even though she was out for only one year. It just seems more likely for her to become the IA of V4.

10 V Flower

Her voice is so deep and ambiguous I love it! Listen to abnormality dancin girl, Appetite of a people pleaser and Better off worse!

She deserves more love. I love Miku and all but honestly, when I think about it, Miku sounds really boring. Sure, she's cute and all, but come on, both flower's voice and design are amazing! Plus she has some amazing songs, like People Allergy, Close to You, etc. (which in my opinion are better than most of Miku's songs. Also, flower has some amazing covers of more popular songs. (talking about Leia and Romeo and Cinderella) I'm running out of ideas (insert Miku hate here)

I love the appearance of the V-flower. She is very cool
#I'm very sorry for my bad english

The Contenders
11 Yowane Haku Yowane Haku (弱音ハク (よわねハク)) is a FANLOID derivative character. She is acknowledged by Crypton Future Media, Inc., the publisher of the Character Vocal Series for VOCALOID2, for commercial use.

Haku has a beautiful voice and lots of potential. But she is always put down by Lily, Luka, especially Miku fans. "Shes not a real vocaloid! ". Crypton even recognizes her as an official vocaloid now, so everyone can quit saying that shes not. don't think I'm ranting that Miku or Luka are bad. I love Luka, shes my second favorite and she deserves to surpass Miku by far, and I know Haku will never pass Miku. But Miku needs to be stopped by someone, maybe IA or Luka. She needs more love. Too many people hate her and passing Miku will simply never happen, but I wish it would...

She deserves to be more popular! Even though she's supposed to be Miku's failure, I think Haku is the most beautiful Vocaloid in the world! I believe in you Haku-chan!

Um, people, Haku is a fanloid, not a Vocaloid. If she is, she would have a official voice bank...

12 Yuzuki Yukari Yuzuki Yukari (結月ゆかり) is a Japanese VOCALOID developed by Vocalomakets and distributed by AH-Software Co. Ltd.. She was initially released in December 2011 for the VOCALOID3 engine. She is also available as a VOICEROID+. In March 2015, she was updated to the VOCALOID4 engine and was given two additional voicebanks. Her voice is provided by the Japanese voice actress Chihiro Ishiguro (石黒千尋;... read more

Yuzuki Yukari is a very modest vocaloid. If she were to be more voiced out, she could be very popular. Plus, her voice is very soothing and gentle. I daresay she is too idiosyncratic and pulchritudinous even for vocaloid itself... Such a shame she is obscured by all those obstacles... She really does have potential... Really...

Yukari has an amazing voice bank both high and low her version of circus monster surpasses miku's by a lot it sounds better... Sure some v3 and v2 Vocaloids are more POPULAR however yukari has an unbeatable voice that if tuned right sounds like a human and if pitched correctly will make you think it's not even a vocaloid!

Need I say more?...

13 Oliver

Oliver could easily beat Miku in Western markets if he was given a chance and some updates. This cute British boy is the best English only Vocaloid ever.

Oliver has a very soothing voice and sounds really nice with Yuzuki Yukari...

I think Oliver is more than capable of taking the top spot. he's adorable and his voice is amazing.

14 KAITO KAITO is a humanoid persona voiced by a singing synthesizer application developed by Yamaha Corporation using their new Vocaloid singing synthesizer technology under the codename of "Taro".

Ya know, it's kinda sad that this guy is only #7.

Kaito has been my favorite Vocaloid ever since I was introduced to him, and favoritism aside, he's actually a very good Vocaloid. He can sing high and low pitches, his performances are astounding, and in looks, he's pretty good too! I think overall Kaito probably not, but might possibly be able to surpass Miku.

A handsomely drawn vocaloid with an amazing voice bank, not to mention how he can be seen as serious and evil or adorable and childish, and either way it fits. From Ashes to Ashes, to his cover of Ai No Uta, he's just perfect for all kinds of songs! Makes me sad he's one of the least popular and least worked on from Crypton

There was actually a small period of time when KAITO sold bettwer thank Miku, so even if he was a commercial failure at first, he is definitely VERY popular. He is not as easy to work with as Miku is what I've heard, but he sounds really beautiful in just about every song I've heard him in.

15 Sakine Meiko

Why can't she be #6 instead of MEIKO? I think that Sakine Meiko's appearance and voice is better than MEIKO's, especially the voice! MEIKO's singing voice annoys me a lot, such as "The Snow White Princess Is", "Senbonzakura", "Odds and ends", etc.! But why the top 6 instead of the top FIVE (Miku, Rin, Len, Luka, and KAITO)?!?!

She actually sounds great.

16 MEIKA Hime
17 MEIKO MEIKO is a humanoid persona voiced by a singing synthesizer application called Vocaloid developed by Yamaha Corporation.

Not that I don't like Miku and Luka or any of the other vocaloids, I love most of the vocaloids, but from the first time I heard Meiko sing (her cover of "The Snow White Princess") I thought her voice sounded AMAZING. I'm just surprised that she isn't higher up by being more popular out there. I understand though that her voice can sometimes be difficult to get it to sound 100% by some people, but when done right, I think it might even overtake Miku's, Luka's or anybody. Meiko also has a really fresh, sweet and outstanding appearance to her. I love her colour scheme. She could actually pass to be a real life person with her eye and hair colour (sure nice to take a break from the bubblegum pink and cyan blue out there ^^). Overall, she needs, no, DESERVES to be more acknowledged and recognised as one of the greatest vocaloids out there!

The first Japanese Vocaloid? She has her spin off (Meiko Sakine) and her own chibi! Not to mention her V3 voicebank is sounding AMAZING right now. MEIKO deserves love, but a lot of people don't like her because she couldn't sing higher notes. Well, people, now she can with the V3 update!

18 MEIKA Mikoto
19 Fukase Fukase, is a vocal developed and distributed by Yamaha Corporation for Vocaloid 4. He is voiced by Satoshi Fukase, the lead singer of the Japanese band, SEKAI NO OWARI.

He's really amazing with an English and Japanese voicebank. His design is also extremely adorable!

20 Lily Lily (リリィ) is a female Vocaloid created by Internet Co., Ltd., done in collaboration with Avex Management Co., Ltd and YAMAHA Corporation, and was initially released in August 2010 for the VOCALOID2 engine. There has since been a second installment developed for the VOCALOID3 engine and dubbed V3 Lily. She is voiced by the Japanese female singer, musician and performance artist, Yuri Masuda... read more

Lily should top Miku! She's really hot and attractive, enough to attract Americans.

Irish I could kiss her

21 SeeU

Some may think that her voice is weird but her popularity is rising wildly. You can count on it that one day SeeU will take over, soon people will be wondering who the heck was Miku?

Why so much people hates SeeU? SeeU is my fourth favourite vocaloid. The people who hates her are totally sick.

SeeU is the first and only Korean Vocaloid! Her design is very good and she has a great voice.

22 Aoki Lapis

Aoki Needs a body pillow, a figure, a English voice bank and needs to be more popular than Miku. No... Kagamine Twins, No all Crypton Vocaloids. I swear, Aoki should be queen by now... If it wasn't for lack of hentai artwork of her or panty shots.

When I saw Lapis here I was like "really!? " I was shocked! Well if only people knew about Aoki Lapis and if only her popularity rises...

Lapis's voice is just amazing the first time I heard a song she sang I loved it. If only more people knew about her she'll shoot up.

23 Kizuna Akari
24 Rana Rana is a Japanese VOCALOID originally developed by We've Inc. in collaboration with Internet Co., Ltd. and was released for the VOCALOID3 engine in September 2014. Her VOCALOID4 update was developed by We've Inc. and distributed by YAMAHA in December 2015. She is voiced by Ai Kakuma (加隈亜衣; Kakuma Ai), a Japanese voice actress.

Oh my gosh, YES. Good pitch? Check. Somewhat different style of voice? Check. Adorable? Check. She's already covered some of Miku's more famous songs (Rolling Girl, World is Mine, that one song I forgot because...I don't listen to it). Her Vocaloid journey has kind of just started. She could totally overtake Miku!

(I am so sorry Iroha and Yukari)
Rana has a really powerful vocal, and it's surprisingly unique. She's very versatile, too. She can sing a lot of different types of songs, from World is Mine to Rolling Girl to Dream and a Cherry Tree!

Rana's adorable, her voice is cute and it I can hear the strength and power in her voice when she's singing! Her voice is like a powerful x childish voice combined. I think her voice is also a bit adult-like!

25 Luo Tianyi

I don't see why she isn't that popular!
