Worst European Leaders In World History

The Top Ten
1 Adolf Hitler Adolf Hitler (April 20, 1889 - April 30, 1945) was a German politician of Austrian descent who served as the leader of the Nazi Party since 1921, Chancellor of Germany since 1933, and Führer of Nazi Germany since 1934. As dictator of Nazi Germany, he reversed the Treaty of Versailles, initiated World War II in Europe with the invasion of Poland in September 1939, and was a central figure of the Holocaust. He committed suicide two days before Soviet soldiers stormed his underground shelter in Berlin.

Why do people think Hitler wanted to conquer the world? There is no evidence to support this idea. Hitler wasn't a good person overall but was a good leader. If there was a reason for Germany being screwed up at the time, blame the Treaty of Versailles. It would make sense for someone like Hitler to rise to power if Germany is being oppressed by it's neighbour, France.

I do not think Adolf Hitler was a leader, he was just terrible one. # LOSER

Not a bad leader. Still don't like him. He was evil, but not a bad leader.

It's Hitler. 'enough said.

2 Josef Stalin Joseph Vissarionovich Stalin was a Georgian dictator, and was the leader of the Soviet Union from the mid-1920s until his death in 1953. Holding the post of the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, he was effectively the dictator of the state.

VERY large part of the victims of his regime were members of the Communist Party, the Red Army and ESPECIALLY the NKVD. How can a person who killed so many commies be bad? He's a hero! The only downside is that he failed to kill them all, and then commit suicide.

At least Hitler gave some of his people a chance. Stalin on the other hand.. Didn't. Extended work hours, low pay. If you didn't work or was disabled he would pop you right there. Doesn't matter if the person was an adult or a child.

This guy is worst by far. Defiantly. Proof that communism is a terrible idea. In nearly 60 years Europe hasn't had a bad leader like him.

First of all, learn to spell. Second, I agree. He is probably the worst world leader in history, and the second most evil man in history.

3 Vlad Tepes Vlad III (Known as "Vlad the Impaler" or "Vlad Dracula", born 1431) was a Romanian monarch. He was the ruler of Wallachia a total of three times before his death in 1476/7. He is most famous for his reputation as a dictator and his gruesome torture methods and executions, in which he has served as an inspiration for Count Dracula and, in turn, the vampire mythology.

I feel so sorry for the people who had to live during his reign. He was horrible!

4 Czar Ivan IV (The Terrible)
5 Leopold II of Belgium

1. Oppression and enslavement of Central African (today, Congalese) peoples over an area 76-times the size of his kingdom, Belgium.

2. In the 30 years to 1924 the population was brutally halved; from ~20 million to ~10 million.

3. No modern warfare required, just good ol' slave-driving barbarity and exotically toxic disease. Oh, and obviously a whole lot of indifference. Can't kill 10 million people without indifference.

4. Accepted by some to potentially be the greatest cause for the chronic underdevelopment of most sub-Saharan countries unto this day.

All most as bad as obama

Arguably evil, but not necessarily a bad leader.

9 Emperor Nero Nero was the last Roman emperor of the Julio-Claudian dynasty. He was adopted by his great-uncle Claudius and became Claudius' heir and successor. Like Claudius, Nero became emperor with the consent of the Praetorian Guard.

National Geographic ran an article on him somewhat recently. According to the article, he kicked his pregnant wife to death, and when the Colosseum ran out of prisoners before his favorite part, he ordered the first few rows of completely innocent people into the ring to be devoured by lions. I'm sure he committed much worse acts than that.

Not many people have heard of him, which is unfortunate. He is one of the worst people in history!

10 Angela Merkel Angela Dorothea Merkel (born July 17, 1954) is a German former politician who served as the Chancellor of Germany (2005–2021). 22 Alexis Tsipras

Heartlessly expelled both Jews and Moors during his reign. He would be higher if he did not send out Columbus. His wife Isabel was also not so great.
