Worst Harry Potter Movies

Honestly, I love all the Harry Potter movies. But some of them I didn't like as much as others.
The Top Ten
1 Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

I didn't like the movie because I wasn't that big a fan of the book to begin with. Of course as always, JKR's story is phenomenal, but so much effed up stuff happens in OotP. Not only is Voldemort back, but the press is completely horrible to Harry, not to mention Cho Chang's moping, Umbridge (who is absolutely VILE) ruining the school, Dumbledore ignoring Harry (and in my opinion his reason for doing so was complete bull), oh and Sirius DIES at the end. It's very depressing and Harry is way to emo for me to enjoy it

Definitely the worst! Don't get me wrong, I like it. But it just isn't as great as the others. I liked Luna in this, Dumbledore's Army, Fred and George and of course being introduced to the best witch in my opinion, Tonks! But I hate Umbridge so much! And Harry took so much pressure and he had that "Only I can save the world" attitude. This is my least favorite book and movie.

They took the longest book in the series, which was already boring, and made it the shortest one. Somehow it's even MORE boring, and that's saying something. The good parts of the book were completely ruined in the movie. The entire film feels like a bunch of skits instead of an actual film.

Look Don't get me wrong I don't hate the movie the only thing that I dislike is I hated when Sirius died come on that is so Horrible he was like the father Harry never had and he got killed death didn't seem to scare Sirius but I still did not like it

2 Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

This one has a ton of flaws, namely the grey colour-palette, adding irrelevant scenes that weren't in the book, priotitizing romance over Voldemort's past, ruining the mystery around Draco..., but it was a pretty emotional film at the very least and it had strong moments.

Personally, I didn't like how they focused too much on relationships instead of the main story. Also, there was so much more interesting and important things inisde the books that didn't happen in the movies which would have made the movie much more interesting

I actually love the book, probably my third favourite, but the movie, while it has some good moments, is probably my second least favourite of the movies (Order of the Phoenix is my least favourite).

ugh this movie is so boring until the cave scene none of us care bout lavender and won won
also since when did the death eaters set fire to the burrow
also also since when did harry tie ginny's shoelaces
also also actually since when did inny feed harry a cookie
also also actually actually they completely ruined the harry ginny kiss. it was supposed to be this epic momement after they won the quidditch game and everyones cheering and ron's okay with it but no we aren't allowed to see a good kiss in this movie

kudos to anyone who understood the scb reference

3 Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone

The crappy name the Yanks gave to the first Harry Potter.
It's really Philosophers Stone.
Which in real history there was Nicholas Flamel who tried tried to make a Philosopher's Stone.
JK Rowling didn't invent the Philosopher's Stone.

Obviously because it's the Sorcerer's Stone movie. that's the worst movie. Lets dumb down a book and movie. Even in the book I read that there is some American English. Dumbing it down.
I have read American books with American English.

I liked this movie a lot! I thought it stayed true to the book and didn't skip out on anything. However, it wasn't filmed as well as the other movies. There were a few mistakes, but every movie has those.

I practically grew up on this and the second movie when I was a kid but after watching both of them again, I got bored, but I cut this one some slack because it is the first one.

4 Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1

Yo this movie was 98% love 2% action. First of all, Ron, you should know your seeing things when your best friend is kissing Hermione, plus there in some dark woods! Ever think of that Ron! The only action is the first part and Dobby's Death. I think this is worst. Sorcerers stone was a classic and great! And don't get me wrong in Order of the Pheonix Sirius Black Death and Department of Mysteries was cool. I like Order of the Pheonix but not the best. This is the worst. 1. Deathly Hallows Part 1...2. Half Blood, 3. I have know idea because the rest are so good! Sorcerers Stone, Goblet of Fire, Part 2 Deathly Hallows, and... Wait. Why am I doing this. Half Blood and Deathly Hallows are just bad. Others Good! I hope you got my point people!

I was just bored when watching this movie. I thought it'd have a bit more action in it. Thankfully, Deathly Hallows Part 2 makes up for it. I'm actually glad they put most of the book into this movie, because they saved most, or all of the good stuff for part 2 where (SPOILERS, wait why are you on this if you didn't read/watch all of them? ) they break into Gringotts, narrowly get through Hogsmeade, defend Hogwarts, battle Draco, Crabbe and Goyle in the room of requirement, and finally the last battle with Voldemort! (SPOILERS OVER) Basically, this movie was boring but they managed to make Part 2 more action-packed. Watch this part if you're more into relationship troubles and a lot of travelling.

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE the harry potter movies, but I personally didn't like this one. I went with my friends to see it and we were all so excited. But it was so so boring honestly, most boring harry potter movie I've ever seen! And I really like the other ones. Stuck with the plot but still, very boring

This movie was boring. Ron was absolutely insufferable throughout, Hermione was useless and it was mostly just all of them sitting around being miserable in a tent.

5 Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

Goblet of fire is the worst out of all 8 movies it was actually boring Cedric dying for no good reason people acting mean to Harry because they think he put his name in the goblet of fire the whole thing with Barty crouch jr killing his own father molly sending Ron a dress and making him look stupid at the yule ball sending Harry to the Dursley's when he could have spent the whole summer with the Weasleys instead of one day that is all the reasons why Goblet of fire is the worst movie in the Harry potter series

I hate Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. How is Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 above this? I felt like the director stripped it of sense and logic, and it was almost unrecognizable. It was just not at all faithful to the book. But what most irritated me was that Barty Crouch Jr. 's backstory wasn't included. It was just disappointing, and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 did the dark theme much better. Also; NEVER BRING THE LONG HAIR BACK.

None of the Harry Potter movies are bad, but this one did not live up to the rest of them. It takes away the whole point of the series until the final scene, Harry vs Voldemort. I also didn't like how neither one of the schools ever returns in the series, so I thought it was stupid to bring in those characters once and never bring them back again. Besides everybodys hair is too long.

Pacing hell. The dragon scene's most indicative, going on far too long at the expense of other, richer, material. But that problem runs all the way through it. It always falls back on the least interesting aspects and bloats them like there's no tomorrow.

6 Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

Order of the Phoenix is much better than this movie. The special effects are horrible; I knew Dobby was fake the second I saw him. Also, the acting is worse than the first movie. I hated the scene where Dobby saves Harry from Lucius Malfoy, because the spell effect was horrible and it was stupid.

This is the scariest, stupidest, and most depressing of them all. It definitely deserves number 1! The fact that almost all the other amazing movies are ahead of this disgusts me! Whoever made this retarded list is an idiot!

I love the Basilisk and the final fight but asides from that I just found something lacking compared to the other movies, the same goes for the book as well.

Pretty boring. Nothing wrong with the movie itself. I just never liked Chamber of Secrets all that much to begin with.

7 Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

This is one of my favorite of the whole HP movie franchise! How did it end up here? I love the more darker tone it uses, and I thought personally Alfonzo Caurzon (how ever you spell his name) was the second best to David Yates. It was faithful to the books, the acting is stupendous! I think people just hate this movie because it's so different compared to the first two. I thought the change was a HUGE improvement.

This was the best movie as I think it followed the books guidelines more than any other movie and personally the fifth is the worst as it didn't explain much and missed out most of the book. Anyway the third movie so brilliant as important characters arrive and the acting is so much better than most of the movies.

This was my favorite book of the series ans Alfoso Cuaron made the worst movie with it, the scenes where they were trying to be funny there weren't and the ones that wanted to put suspense were weak, it was the actors like michael Gambon, Gary Oldman, David Thewlis and the old cast that made this movie "watchable"

8 Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2

This is probably one of my favourite movies of all time, I was pretty disappointed with Deathly Hallows Part 1 since it was based on my favourite book but Deathly Hallows Part 2 was just a master-piece as far as I'm concerned.

The was the best movie guys. If you think it ain't.. Then you guys are... Wont say anything.

I agree, great film.. I wished Luna and Neville got together

Great movie. Enough said.

9 Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald

This is the worst Harry Potter movie. The whole movie was made as a set-up for the Fantastic Beasts franchise, or the prequel of Harry Potter. And yet, they didn't think of straight-up story. This is just franchise building, with Credence finding out who he is; Newt going against Grindelwald; the reletionship between Newt and Thessus/Newt and Tina; and the relationship between Jacob and Queenie. Those stuff are just meant to build up the franchise. And one of the biggest problem of this movie was the fact that Dumbledore was pointless. All he did was hire Newt to stop Grindelwald because he was afraid to fight Grindelwald (SPOILER: Grindelwald was related to Dumbledore) and he didn't bother to step up. Another plot-hole in this movie was where Credence was looking for his identity, but they didn't get the movie to explain who he is, and then Grindelwald has brainwashed him in the end. This is a huge plot hole.

However, there are some pros (maybe 2). The first good thing about ...more

Possibly the ridiculousness of Minerva McGonagall being a teacher.

This movie is just garbage.

This was such a disgrace to the Harry Potter franchise and should be #1. It’s really intense but the script is garbage.

10 Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

I guess some people expected it to follow the encyclopaedia. I was originally not looking forward to it thinking it was going to look like that Spiderwick movie.
