Worst Movie Characters of All Time

The Top Ten
1 Jar Jar Binks (Ahmed Best) - Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace Jar Jar Binks is a fictional character from the Star Wars saga created by George Lucas. A major character in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace, he also has a smaller role in Episode II: Attack of the Clones, and a one-line cameo in Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, and the television series Star Wars: The Clone Wars. The character has earned negative reception for his voice, his clumsiness and the fact that he can't take care of himself. He has earned a reputation of being one of the most hated characters in cinema.

Thanks god he appeared only in episode I and II.Jar Jar has never been funny or likable and all he did was to fowl around like an idiot.I don't even know what George Lucas had in mind when he came out with this character.I hope Jar Jar won't make any appearances in the future.
I also hope that Ahmed Best regrets that he gave voice to one of the most despised characters in the cinematic world.

I wish Disney would use their editing powers for good. If they can make the expanded universe non cannon then they can edit out jar jar presumably to edit something else in but hell just cutting out any scene that he says anything would be an improvement. Even if it leaves gaps in the story.

Why does he have to exist?! Jar jar annoys me and makes me want to punch him in the face. All he does is to mess up in fights and bother the other characters. He never was helpful or funny in any way. Death to jar jar!

He looks really ugly, even for Star Wars standards. Whoever made him is on drugs. But I have to admit that it took some effort to make this character. But still, a terrible character.

2 Bella (Kristen Stewart) -Twilight

I could write a thesis with reasons as to why Bella is one of the worst characters in the literary and cinematic universe. One, is that she is too self-centered. Rather than appreciating the people around her, she goes and whines about her life and goes after a guy whom she, as the story goes on, gives her everything too. Putting aside their apparent magnetic connection to each other, she and Edward have not shared anything that would prove their love for each other. Their conversations are bland and the guys obvious stalker-ish actions does not scare her off, even if the same kind of intense love could be felt from the werewolf lover. And, she plays with both men, and acts as if she is the victim of this already supernatural world. It's just stupid.

Insufferable, shallow, vain, boring, and incredibly selfish character. How is the audience expected to like an awful character like Bella? She's the epitome of a flat/unlikable character. Doesn't help that Kristen Stewart portrayed her, and her acting is just... flat out horrendous.

The character is just dry, she's an Anti-Sue, a type of character that an author tried so hard to make them 'normal' or ' flawed' so they weren't a Mary Sue that she just ended up dry and bland and still a Mary Sue.
Then the character just gets played by a terribile actress, though I wonder if a better actress had played the role would she have been better? Will never understand why younger me liked this.

Bella is getting mutilated by multiple creepypasta characters and I stand there laughing my ass off while eating popcorn and taking picsLOL

3 Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) - Twilight Trilogy Edward Cullen is a fictional character in Stephenie Meyer's Twilight series. He is featured in the books Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn, and their corresponding film adaptations, and the as yet unfinished novel Midnight Sun—a re-telling of the events of Twilight from Edward's perspective.

Edward Cullen is pretty much abusive. He's the oppisite of what a vampire is supposed to actually be! He's just one of the worse characters ever, he doesn't even care for his supposed lover?

So boring and painful to watch. He was trying to play the mysterious, bad guy, sarcastic punk that the good girl falls in love with, but come on, he sucks!

He is such an ass who doesn't care for anything. He's such a cry baby. He's an insult even to be called a vampire!

4 Bucky Larson (Nick Swardson) - Bucky Larson: Born to Be a Star
5 Troy Bolton (Zac Efron) - High School Musical

This guy is such a gary stu who thinks he can have all the girls he wants. All the Disney movies today are total bull and painful to watch.

6 Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen) - Star Wars: Attack of the Clones/Revenge of the Sith

He couldn't act. At all.

7 Bobby Dagen (Sean Patrick Flanery) - Saw: The Final Chapter
8 Maynard (Doug Bradley) - Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines

He's awesome take him off.

9 Gene - The Emoji Movie

Only if he does th Floss Dance from Fortnite in The Emoji Movie 2 (if they make one).

The whole movie was awful.

Top ten material here.

10 Pistachio Disguisey (Dana Carvey) - The Master of Disguise

This guy is such an offensive Italian stereotype and he's not even funny.Even Mario isn't that racist.

Worst name and accent in the history of cinema.

The Contenders
11 Aang (Noah Ringer) - The Last Airbender Avatar Aang is a fictional character and the protagonist of Nickelodeon's animated television series Avatar: The Last Airbender, voiced by Zach Tyler Eisen. Aang is the last surviving Airbender, a monk of the Air Nomads' Southern Air Temple.

Who the heck was the actor who played Aang?!

12 Doloris Umbridge (Imelda Staunton) - Harry Potter and The Order of the Phoenix

Umbridge is an evil and hated character, but in no way is she bad. She was written really well, and the actor that played her did a good job, and the only reason she is on the list is because people don't like the character, and I'm pretty sure worst movie character would apply more to Jar Jar Binks, or the entire cast of Twilight.

I hope she makes it the top spot of this list someday. Most unlikable character in J.K. Rowling's Wizarding World.

She is the one character that achieved being worse than jar jar

She taught us pink is the color of PURE EVIL!

13 Carter Horton (Kerr Smith) - Final Destination
14 Jill Sadelstein (Adam Sandler) - Jack and Jill

She's so incredibly annoying and she never shut up, they say she's from Brooklyn but I think she may be from Jersey considering that she talks way too loud and flips out for no reason.

Sandler's movies are well known for being unfunny, boring and annoying, filled with potty humor and innuendos. This must be one of his worst characters ever!

Does it ever occur to her the reason she's so lonely is because she's so obnoxious, she talks way too loud and is always getting in everyone's business.

She was never funny through out the whole movie just a big pain in the ass.

15 The Toy Maker (Sylvester Stallone) - Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over

This was really soft compared to the other guys he's played, like Rocky and Rambo.

An embarrassing role for Sylvester Stallone.

16 Gord (Tom Green) - Freddy Got Fingered

More like Tom Green (Tom Green), am I right?

17 Willy Wonka (Johnny Depp) - Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

Tim burton, aren't you getting tired of being unoriginal?! Why can't yu just do original stuff and stop re-imagining things that were already fine by adding dark visuals. Some movies shouldn't have dark visuals. I really used to like tim burton's work back when he had good ideas and amazing characters back in 90's. I really enjoyed Edward scissorhands, batman, pee wee's big adventure, beetle juice, ed wood and nightmare before Christmas. At the beginning of 2000's, tim stopped being original and decided to remake stuff. His first failure was with the remake of 'planet of the apes' in 2001 who sucked big time. It had bad actors, bad action scenes and bad characters. Not to mention, that it was way too long and boring. When I heard that burton is going to remake one of my favorite childhood movies I was quite mad. In my opinion, no one can ever beat the original 'willy wonka and the chocolate factory'.

Okay, just stop saying that tim burton's version was more faithful to the book. The novel was great and I really liked mel stuart's movie, even though it wasn't like the book. But tim burton just ruined it.
In the original book, wonka was kind, loving, sweet, somewhat mischievous and he called the kids by their real name. Depp's wonka is mean, rude, incoherent and annoying. I like johnny depp, but I really don't think he fits this role. I would rather prefer Nicholas cage or jim carrey to play wonka. And if burton tries to be closer to the book, why didn't he make wonka look like in the book. I don't remember him looking like a hermaphrodite. Also, depp gave him the most annoying voice I ever heard. I did all my best trying to stay at wonka's high-pitched super-annoying voice. It sounds almost as terrible as jar jar binks's voice. Almost!

I think that Michael Jackson would do a better version of Wonka than Depp's.
I mean, why everyone is comparing depp's wonka with Michael Jackson. The new wonka is a harsh, cold-hearted, incoherent, cruel, selfish douchebag who hates children, parents and old people. When the kids, arrived at the factory he didn't even want to know their names, he addressed rude comments to them and his jokes about cannibalism were cruel and gross. The fact that this wonka has more fans than gene wilder's one is beyond me.
On the other hand, Michael Jackson was kind, loving and he adored children.

The only good Willy Wonka is Gene Wilder. Gene said that he accepted the role only if they let him to do his appearance walking in a cane slowly, then doing a somersault, from that moment no one would know if he's lying or telling the truth. The new wonka's appearance was awkward and annoying. In original version, wonka was nice with the kids to test them and he was an eccentric genius. The new one was so stupid that he had to read cards made by oompa loompas.

18 Dex Dogtective - Foodfight!

Pretty much ALL Foodfight characters are bad

Stupid dumb idiot

19 Veruca Salt (Julie Dawn Cole) - Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory

Isn't it weird that even though in the 70's movie,Veruca is much more spoiled and Wilder Wonka is very nice to her,but in the 2005's movie Veruca is much nicer and in that version Depp Wonka behaves like jerk with her?

I felt bad for her actually, because it was her dads fault that she grew up so spoiled, and she will live a hard life in the future because of him...

She's such a spoiled brat, but that's what she's supposed to be.Even though In the Tim Burton version she is much calmer and reserved,it doesn't help that her performance is awful and really bland.

Someone should make her shut up! Her voice is irritating

20 Bud Macintosh (Pauly Shore) - Bio-Dome
21 C3PO (Anthony Daniels) - Star Wars C-3PO is a humanoid robot character from the Star Wars franchise who appears in the original trilogy, the prequel trilogy and the sequel trilogy.
22 Norm - Norm of the North Norm is the protagonist of 2016 animated film Norm of the North. He is a polar bear who comes to New York in an attempt to save his home from the hands of a wealthy businessman.
23 Alice (Milla Jovovich) - Resident Evil Trilogy

Alice is the reason I don't watch the Resident Evil movies, I really hate the fact that Paul Anderson makes the whole movie about her rather than any of the characters from the game and I completely agree with Egnomac about Alice being overrated because its true, the only reason I ever watched Resident Evil Apocalypse is because Jill Valentine was in it.

Resident evil just shows that just because your hot, doesn't mean you can act! Paul w.s. anderson is like a guy who said, "I want to be like paul t anderson, but ill just have to be the w.s. anderson, who is just as great"! Well, nice dreaming, but it didn't work!

I hate Alice in the same way most wrestling fans hate John Cena she's overrated and is constantly being shoved down our throats.

I hate her so much for stealing the spotlight from Jill & Clair.

24 Olaf - Frozen Olaf the Snowman is a character from the 2013 animated film Frozen, produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios.

Don't Care Much For Him

25 Alice (Isabel Lucas) - Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
