Worst Pixar Movies

The Top Ten
1 Cars 2

Cars 2 is 28% bad.
Brave is 32% bad.
A Bug's Life is 24% bad.
Monsters' University is 23% bad.
Cars is 36% bad.
Ratatouille is 12% bad.
The Good Dinosaur is 24% bad.
WALL-E is 19% bad.
The Incredibles is 16% bad.
Toy Story 2 s 4% bad.

By that, I mean as in the direct opposite of digit-point-digit-out-of-ten. - The Ultimate Daredevil, planning to tell you all why these Pixar movies are good, yet slightly flawed

I may sound weird when I say this, but this is not Pixar's weakest feature film. I like all Pixar movies, nevertheless. The only Pixar movies that I like less than Cars 2 are The Good Dinosaur (it's uncreative and overly unrealistic) and especially Cars (I would love to explore out of Radiator Springs). - Kieran Stark aka The Ultimate Daredevil

Now a lot of people are going to hate me for this, but I disagree with everything on this list. I honestly liked cars 2, brave, and all the movies on this list. All the movies had mostly good moments, but sometimes very few bad moments in it. I probably won't be surprised if anyone dislikes this

2 Brave

I don't even know where to begin with this atrocity. I will admit, I didn't watch the whole thing. I couldn't take it anymore 45 minutes in and turned it off. The characters were so unlikable and unattractive that I could not have cared less of what became of them.

The Scottish accents were not appealing. The actress who did the voice for Merida was about 35 years old and sounded like it. The voice did not match the character at all. The character is a piece of work who blames others for her mistakes.

The King. Oh dear God. This gargantuan has no redeeming qualities. He broke the ugly stick he was hit with it so hard. Not to mention he is a complete animal.

Honestly, this movie was so bad that it's borderline offensive to Scottish people. Disney should not include Merida in its princess collection in hopes that they, and we, can forget that this movie ever happened.

It's not the worst of Pixar, but it's one of the most average and Meh. The only amazing thing about this movie is Merida's red hair, which is really beautiful and striking hair. But the character of Merida is generic and cliché to the extreme. A rebellious redhead who wants to break rules? So boring and predictable. Why do people insist on telling stories in which redheaded women are always rebellious, brave and temperamental? In the world there are also shy and introspective girls that have red hair, folks. But in this film, Pixar goes to an already widely used and predictable path of the rebellious teenager girl and abuses the stereotypes. To make matters worse, the story feels like a rip-off of Brother Bear.

3 The Good Dinosaur

As a lover of dinosaurs and Pixar, I was really disappointed. The animation of the dinosaurs was so amazing and so beautiful, I really loved that. But what exactly was wrong with the film? Well it didn't really have a plot. There were several parts of the film that I enjoyed (of course seeing all of the dinosaurs was great, that's what I loved about it the most), but for a Pixar movie, it's just really not enjoyable. It really lacked the creative storyline Pixar normally creates. Nevertheless, the animation was still superb and all around, it is an okay movie. But for a Pixar movie it's not so great. I loved all the dinosaurs in this film though.

The plot is just a dinosaur and a human boy getting from point A to point B, and it has several sequences that feel more like episodes of a T.V. show than scenes from a movie. Sure, there are some attempts at emotional parts, but they didn't resonate with me because the characters were too bland. Absolutely nothing is done with the great "what if the dinosaurs never died out and ended up living alongside humans? " concept - there's no attempt to do anything interesting with the relationship between humans and dinosaurs, so they might as well have scrapped the concept and made Spot a dog-like dinosaur or something. Most of the jokes were boring too. At least the animation was excellent... but I'm kind of sad they wasted it on a mediocre story that doesn't come close to deserving it.

4 Monsters University

It's certainly not a bad movie, but it's very mediocre when compared to it's predecessor Monsters Inc (Easily one of Pixar's best movies). I didn't really care much for the premise and how Mike and Sulley first met. If anything, a sequel would've worked out much better for Monsters Inc, cause then we'd actually get to see Mike and Sulley reunite with Boo. Also, I found most of the characters besides Mike, Sulley, and other characters from the original Monsters Inc to be bland and forgettable (I don't even remember many of the characters names). Of course, the animation still looks stunning just like every other Pixar movie, and I love hearing Bill Crystal and John Goodman voice as Mike and Sulley again. But overall, it's mostly "meh" in my eyes. Certainly better than Cars 2 and The Good Dinosaur, but it's still very weak for Pixar standards.

Instead of making a sequel of what happened to Boo, what happened in her life after she grew up, which is what everyone wanted. They threw us this prequel that no one asked for showing how Mike and Sulley became friends, which is stupid because they don't become friends until about halfway through the film. Past that actually. The only good things about the film is that it's and enjoyable and its animation. Other than that, I didn't really like the film.

5 Cars

Cars needs to top this list. Even the sequel to this movie is better due to its action, wider variety of culture and heavily interesting environments. But like the original Cars, Cars 2 has one-dimensional characters. It still feels more like a Pixar movie than The Good Dinosaur, but the some of the settings are not really immersive, not even in the canyons. Deserts are one of my favorite places of all time, but Cars kinda does seem like El Coche from A Car's Life (sequels), which does not suck too bad. Cars kinda overdoses on Southern Americans, the only race I do not like. Cars 1 is way too overrated. Yes, Cars was directed by the same man that brought us the Toy Story trilogy and it does have a healthy lesson. But I give Cars a 3/5. - The Ultimate Daredevil

As a kid, I liked this movie, but when I saw better Pixar movies, Up and Coco, I was thinking that Cars was just a way for Pixar to make money so that they can make good films. Although it inspired by drawings of fictional characters, it isn't really a good movie.

6 The Incredibles 2

This movie was a middle finger to the first film.

-Evelyn Deavor, as a villain, was a middle finger to Syndrome. She was a surprise villain, but there were a lot of foreshadows of her villain role, and her character writing was lazy, unroginal, and makes no sense.
-Too much obnoxious humor like Jack-Jack fighing a racoon, the same person imitating Edna, Violet squirting water out of her nose, and more.
-Bob, Violet, and Dash are out of character. Bob and Dash whine most of the time. I don't get what Dash is whinning about, Bob is complaining about his babysitting job, and Violet's relationship with her boyfriend, Tony, was too upleasant.
-Elastigirl being thicc is one of the stupidest character writing yet.
-The story felt repeated from the first movie except Bob and Helen swapped roles. How unbelievable Brad Bird wasted 11 years of his time (he spent 11 years making the story, 2 years of production, and the 14th year was the release date).

But the perfect animation and amazing action scenes were better than the first movie, in fact, they were the only redeeming things about this film.

7 A Bug's Life

I HATE this irritating movie a lot! Flik is pure annoying, whiny, arrogant, self-absorbed, and super fiscal. I also really hate Atta, the Queen, Gypsy, and Rosie. They are brats and they're also annoying. And I hate Manny, Francis, Dim, Tuck, Roll, Slim, and Heimlich. They're just annoying little dorks. This is the most annoying Pixar movie I've ever seen.

I feel Bugs Life is the worst just because it is so forgettable. As much as I don't like either of the Cars movies, at least I say that I remember the characters names, meaning that it had impacted me on some level.

This list is pretty bad. This used to be my favorite movie. What the heck is it doing here. Besides Planes: Fire and Rescue all Pixar movies are good.

8 Lightyear

I didn't see it, but the premise looks horribly cash-grabby and uninteresting, altogether pointless. The twist I hear about is enough to hold me off.

The twist in this movie was so mind-numbingly dumb that I'm honest-to-god shocked that M. Night Shyamalan had no involvement in it whatsoever.

The Pixar counterpart of Walt Disney Animation Studios' Treasure Planet except nowhere near as charming, likable, or awe-inspiring.

9 Toy Story 4

You think this was an unnecessary addition to the Toy Story saga? Just wait until Toy Story 5 comes out sometime later this decade. It could probably even rival Cars 2 as the worst Pixar film of all time depending on how its plot unfolds (assuming that it will even have anything coherent enough to resemble an actual plot if it's a direct continuation of where the fourth one left off).

I hated this movie, it's the worst Pixar movie I've ever watched. The ending to toy story 3 was absolutely beautiful and memorable. But toy story 4 was completely horrible and messed up. Why can't they just focus on other movies instead of making sequels that they know are going to be bad. The ending to toy story 4 was just horrendously awful. It absolutely broke me. It's the worst ever Pixar movie and it deserves to be #1.

Just watched the trailers and it looks like it's gonna suck. Nothing appealed to me in any way whatsoever, didn't really find anything to enjoy in any of them. It probably will be an emotional film and that's probably it. They'll rescue Bo Peep and then be on their way back. A lot less excited for this movie now than I was previously, just shows that the franchise should've ended at Toy Story 3.

10 Turning Red

It honestly dont know if this movie sucks or not, its creative and has funny jokes but it also has very uncomfortable scenes that just make me cringe so badly.

The animation looks generic and behind. Disney's Encanto, released a year before, looked at least twice as good, and the plot is generic and sort of stereotypes Chinese people.

If this movie wins the Oscar for Best Animated Feature instead of Pinocchio or Puss in Boots 2, it will easily go down in history as the worst Oscar winner for that category aside from Brave and Happy Feet.

The Contenders
11 Finding Dory

The truck scene in this movie directly ripped off the one from DreamWorks' Over the Hedge, and don't get me started on that awful Sia song that plays over the closing credits of this movie. This movie is even deader to me than Hercules is to Doug Walker.

What ultimately fails Finding Dory in my opinion is that it borrowed so heavily from Finding Nemo, and the truck scene. There's no way an octopus can drive a truck. Other than that, the film was just decent.

No wonder this didn't even get nominated for Best Animated Feature back in 2016!

12 Ratatouille

Worst movie ever! SPOILER ALERT: This movie's about some stupid talking rat who is a chef. And when he steals food from that old lady's house, I freaked out when she took out a RIFLE, went beserk and started shooting all over the house! Its just a rat! And that dumb newbie ( sorry I don't remember anybody's name ) is so idiotic! Whenever someone speaks to him, he's like, " ummm... uh... EEP! Hehhehheh...what? " He acts like he's not even human! Not to mention he has a giant nose. Now, for my review! I give Ratatouille a... 2 out of 10! Horrible! Unlikeable characters! Dumb plot! Bad content! Do not watch Ratatouille! Sorry, I think I'm overreacting.

Oh yeah, and I gave a thumbs up to whoever commented "Fall asleep every time," and "This movie was absolutely horrible! "

Just because most of the dialogue is missing (this is France after all, hardly anyone speaks English) doesn't mean it's bad, but I found some parts boring and the villain is a Gordan Ramsey clone... How did I know that was coming in a film about food?

13 Toy Story 2

Best in the toy story trilogy.

"No Buzz, I am your father."

14 Cars 3

Horrible movie. Took the kids ( boy 9, girl 7 and a bit) to see this and they both hated it. They we're hoping for McQueen to have a cool comeback, as was advertised but nope. The movies all about him being too old for anything except inadvertently training this rubbish girl housecar, who I find rather off putting. Is this what they, Pixar, think women are like? Mean, stupid little things who claim to be something but are useless at it whilst secretly wishing to be something else and then being super duper at it, whilst only the other ladies cheer. All the while never doing her own job, making fun of others and being obnoxious. I don't think we women are like this at all. Should have just waited for it to come out on DVD and second hand as well.

I saw this yesterday as my first birthday party as an adult, and I am way too upset that most iMDB scores consist of heavy hatred towards this film. Lightning McQueen was finding ways not to retire. He was testing Cruz Ramirez, but he did not take away his own place to Cruz Ramirez for her to keep. - The Ultimate Daredevil, who gives Cars 3 an 8/10 (an 8 for the animation, a 10 for the sound, a 6 for the story and a 7 for the characters).

15 The Incredibles

The writing is just a little off. For example:

Syndrome starts off trying to kill the Incredibles (really, wants them dead), then he finally catches them and just keeps them prisoner.
Frozone has tried to stay out of the superhero game, other than the occasional going out with Bob Parr, even when danger is occurring. Then, all of a sudden, he decides to suit up.
And just what the heck happened to super villains like Bomb Voyage after the super heroes were banished? They weren't banished. You would have thought that, with the supers gone, they'd be taking over the world.

Don't get me wrong, it's a good movie (as most of Pixar's is), but it's not one of their best.

This list just doesn't make any sense. There isn't such a thing as worst Pixar movies, because all Pixar movies are good, and most of them are masterpieces! And yes, I do think this and Toy Story 3 are the weakest Pixars, but still not bad.

16 Wall-E

Everyone says this movie is a masterpiece and the best Disney animated movie of all time but I just find Wall-E very boring. It's about people that killed the earth with trash and live in space and they are all very fat and Wall-E makes garbage into cubes like that one scene in Monsters Inc and collects some of them. Then he finds a plant that Eve is looking for. The main characters don't even talk and only say each others names. I probably just don't understand the point of the film. Please just respect my opinion.

Okay this movie is beyond boring and why do people say it's so good? I don't know? Robots and blah blah.. It's so boring to be honest.

Why would anyone make a list like this, wall-e is the 3rd best animated movie of all time and toy story is the 2nd best.

17 Up

Great movie as a whole sure... but overall atmosphere was highly depressing and, I felt, a tad too morbid. Could have made an effort to make the movie a bit more enjoyable instead of making an obvious emotional play that detracts from the film itself.

I think Up started great, it had a really engaging and unique first act. But the middle and ending were just SO boring in my opinion. Not the absolutely worst I've seen, but to me not the best Pixar film either.

I can't enjoy it as much as I did when I was a kid because I ruined the movie by watching it everyday as soon as it came out on DVD. It's still a good movie but there are other Pixar movies that are much better.

18 Soul

Not much to it, a little too similar to Inside Out, Pixar's new style is inferior to their older style, and bland message that tried to hard to be deep.

19 Onward

This whole movie feels like something DreamWorks canceled at the last minute only for Pixar to pick it up and make hardly any improvements to its script (if at all).

Actually, Pixar ran out of ideas HERE. The 2020s have not been kind to this great studio so far...

20 Inside Out

Way too much is plot for the sake of having a plot. Sadness touches the core memories for no reason even after she knows that she can corrupt them. Joy could send the core memories up the tube to HQ, but instead they needed to drag it out for another hour. Joy and Bing Bong both fall into the forgotten memories at the exact same time, but only Bing Bong starts to disappear. Riley can clearly function, at least not emotionally, so are these five emotions controlling her or are they her?

Wanna know something that's even worse than the movie itself? People will hate you just for having a different opinion and disliking that "cute and sweet" little blue blob. Seriously, the plot is a mess and the characters are not likable at all, especially Sadness!

Such a fantastic work of art that will permanent change the way we all think of the human mind.

21 Finding Nemo

When I was little I hated this movie but I don't know why. Now I'm just to old to find the joy in it.

Ellen DeGeneres sucks and deserved to have her ride removed from Disney 100%.

I love this movie with a passion. Yeah, I said it! Go on and shoot me for saying this, catfight lovers! >8(

22 Elemental

I feel like the city is based on the USA. It very heavy excluds fire.

23 Luca

I forgot this existed

24 Toy Story

Extremely Overrated. In fact both 1 and 2 are Overrated. but the 3rd instalment is Amazing. I mean there just Toys that talk ended sly about moving day, Oh-no. I mean it' So Stupid and Boring. And Oh god the Villain. He is so annoying.

Because fools its when they gave up with hand drawn animation. Oh and hahaa I notice Frozen isn't on here yet.

Toy story is good, but I really don't think they should make toy story 4... Or cars 3.

25 Toy Story 3

Look, I'm not saying I hate the Toy Story franchise, which I completely don't (its awesome), but for some readon I NEVER liked this one. It's too dark, and it legitimately scared me as a child. I didn't like the new characters like that bear that were added in here. While I do love the Toy Story movies, Toy Story 3 just happens to be my least favorite. Sorry.

Why does everyone like this movie? it's literally just toy story 2 but the other way around and doesn't capture the feel of the first 2 AT ALL! and the ending basically takes away from EVERYTHING the first 2 set up. I love the first 2, but I'd say this was one MASSIVE "screw you" to the first 2.

This was an "okay" movie for me. But, the toddlers abusing the toys kinda scared me.
