Top Ten Worst States In the U.S. To Be In When a Hurricane Hits

The Top Ten
1 Florida Florida is a state located in the southeastern region of the United States. Florida is the southeasternmost U.S. state, with the Atlantic on one side and the Gulf of Mexico on the other.

The only reason why Louisiana is number 1 is because of hurricane katrina, a bunch of hurricanes devastated Florida, like hurricane Irma, Andrew, Matthew...

Matthew hit florida and other states too.-KyokoKuchisakeSuccubi

Katrina, Charley, Remnants of Erika, etc.

This is very true.

2 Texas Texas is a state in the Southern USA. It is the second largest by area and population. Its largest city is Houston.
3 Louisiana

Hurricane Katrina was a hurricane that impacted New Orleans. The city was flooded, and I hope to see what hurricanes look like in the future.

As Hurricane Katrina demonstrated, Louisiana (specifically the New Orleans area) easily is prone to damaging hurricanes.

Well this lost depends on what magnitude

Mississippi did get worst

5 South Carolina South Carolina is a state in the southeastern region of the United States. The state is bordered to the north by North Carolina, to the south and west by Georgia across the Savannah River, and to the east by the Atlantic Ocean.
6 New York New York is a state located in the Mid-Atlantic Region. New York was one of the original thirteen colonies that formed the United States. With an estimated 19.54 million residents in 2018, it is the fourth most populous state. In order to distinguish the state from the city with the same name, it is sometimes referred to as New York State.

I put NJ and NY above Florida because of the much higher population densities that both states have. Hurricane Sandy was a storm that affected both states, and a larger population was affected as a result.

I think it would be less likely here but if it did happen here it would have a huge impact.

Hurricane Sandy hit north Carolina too

7 New Jersey New Jersey is a state in the northeastern and mid-Atlantic regions of the United States. It is bordered on the north and east by New York, on the southeast and south by the Atlantic Ocean, on the west by Pennsylvania, and on the southwest by Delaware.

High population density will make harder to evacuate before storm...

One word: Sandy

I SWEAR EVERYONE SAYS THAT STUPID NEW ORLEANS GOT THE WORST PART OF KATRINA, BUT IT WAS Mississippi! THE WORST PART OF THE HURRICANE IS THE EAST PART AROUND THE EYE AND THAT IS WHAT Mississippi GOT! NEW ORLEANS DID NOT GET THE WORST OF IT! THEY'RE JUST DUMB HIPPIES THAT DON'T KNOW ANYTHING!
