He was previously known for his work in Ring of Honor (ROH) and various independent promotions including Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG), Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW), and Pro Wrestling Noah under his real name. He did won the 2014 Andre the Giant Memorial Award at WrestleMania, but after the Paul Heyman Guy storyline he slips down the worst way and that could hurt his career.
