The Contenders: Page 10
Most underrated song of the year.
A Head Full Of Dreams was a straight BORE. But you know what? Of the three "sellout" Coldplay hits (Paradise, A Sky Full Of Stars, this), I'd say this is the best. The loose guitars are incredibly catchy, and the timeless melody has an almost endless groove. While Chris Martin has had better performances, see Viva La Vida for true pop perfection, I don't think his voice has had so much jovial energy before, it lets him play off the smooth vibe of the song incredibly well. 5/5 - WonkeyDude98
The disco and Indian influences make this track, if not the best, the most original of 2015.
Great song, best by Coldplay since Paradise or maybe even Viva la Vida! The guitar riff is good, Martin sings quite well on this, and the bassline is actually audible in a few sections for once, and it is a good one. 8/10, but why do we get 100 songs like Watch Me (1/10) just for one like this? I would appreciate your answers.
155? Seriously? Ariana Grande's better than Coldplay? And that's what I hate about this Generation. They love beats more than the lyrics.Examples like Bad and Boujee.Do you still think it should be in 2nd in US Charts.It's...Ridiculous,man - BoctinizerV 18 Comments
Ride isn't about an actual ride. It's about life and death and how life just flat-out SUCKS sometimes. It has a meaning, and that's why TOP is my favorite.
If I had a lamborghini, I would play this song in it
The songs is #9 on the the top 10 songs on the week October 1st 2016 so its good

This drug can make you dance, cry, or flew up high. Try it. - rosmetpaulus
Something about this song makes me like it. - madoog
I should DESPISE this. The fact that the piano is the driving melody of a supposedly upbeat song, the jingling noises, Chris Martin's rigid vocal line, the fact that Beyoncé is on a Coldplay song (no disrespect, she blew Martin off stage here), this should be horrible. But...something holds it all together. 4/5 - WonkeyDude98V 3 Comments
In my opinion, this song is so much better than "Hello" by Adele. That song is alright, but it gets old quickly and it's pretty much the same as any other breakup song. Ben Burnley has such an awesome voice!
This is a great song it just gives a sense of empowerment
Why is the best song of 2015 not on top?!V 3 Comments
The melody of this song sounds almost timeless, and the vocals are perfect. I love the emotion that Ed pours into his songs.
My first dance with a boy was with this song. Every time I hear it it makes me feel warm and happy
Well its way better than what I hear on the radio these days - FlakyCuddles43

Next to Here, this is my favorite song, plus I can relate. I don't feel beautiful at all. I always feel like something is wrong with me. But this song makes me feel better. I don't have to change a thing, the world can change its heart. No scars to your beautiful, we're stars and we're beautiful.
I know this song will probably never be noticed on here. And neither will my comment. But our generation almost needs this song. Beautiful lyrics, feeling, and beat. If you're feeling self consious, or put down, just listen to it. - TheAlbinoWolf
This song is really pleasant and Alessia is really good and talented. 5/5 - AlphaQ
Please put this song on a higher rank. This is a good one - Hellohi
I used to love this and here's a funny story about it.
So I do this thing where I look at the lyrics and then I download it, not looking at how the song sounds. So I downloaded it, and had my phone on shuffle and I didn't know what it was when it first started and when the scream happened I was scared. - AnonymousChick
I can not stand this song, and here are some reasons why:
1. It's about sex. I see third graders chanting it, like it's the best song ever, when they don't even know what it's actually about. Why is it so popular?
2. It's one of those terrible, summer songs that was most definitely ripped off. I thought for a few seconds this was This Summers gonna hurt, then the melody comes in. I think I died. Again.
3. Overplayed. I actually stopped listening to my local radio station and rely on my phones music for good music, since the radio has nothing to offer these days besides terrible songs.
4. Yes, I know I'm ranting, but I can't help it. It just went on the radio AGAIN! (Even though I just mentioned up above I don't listen to the radio anymore )
5. I-I-I-I-I-I keep on hoping we'll cake by the ocean. (I keep on hoping we'll have sex on the beach)
I hate this song. I wanted to like it but the lyrics are even worse than Cheerleader. - WonkeyDude98
Okay, let me be more specific. This song is a disaster on almost all grounds. It's the worst Uptown Funk song that could have been made. More than anything, this is two ripoffs in one. This is an Uptown Funk ripoff (very blatantly), and a ripoff of This Summer's Gonna Hurt by Maroon 5.
While I do prefer this over This Summer's Gonna Hurt, it's not by much. The same runny synths that ruined TSGH, and the same feeling of a horrible scorching summer. As for Uptown Funk, the bassline is the same and the percussion is the same. In fact, the first time I heard this I thought it WAS Uptown Funk, until Joe Jonas' horrid voice came on.
Joe Jonas is so earnest and light that you almost think he's talking about actual baked goods...until the "you're delicious" line. Also, he can only barely hit those high notes on the chorus. It's painful. Half-star/5, THE CAKE IS A LIE! (Now that I've made that joke, it's time to rethink my life) - WonkeyDude98
This song was overplayed, but it is catchy - slimshady901V 113 Comments
This is a pretty catchy song. I can't understand him though and that's why this isn't 5/5 it's nice once in a while so... 4/5 - AlphaQ
I like this single. The creepy element and strong beat, along with the vocals make this a good song. - madoog
OKAY make that a 4.5/5 WHAT. Yea this is better than I thought it would - AlphaQ
Best album of the year.
Nice song. Your right Sabrina Carpenter should be on here.
Awesome song! This should be higher on the list!
She is so pretty, so is Sabrina Carpenter
I'm neutral. - madoogV 3 Comments
This song is a little unknown, but it brings so much power. The message behind it touches me, and just listening to the lyrics, with the synths and melodies combined, create an uplifting, almost bittersweet feeling.
This is a great way to end Adventure. Excellent work MadeonV 1 Comment
