41 Empire of the Clouds - Iron Maiden Empire of the Clouds - Iron Maiden

Brilliant song. The mixture of heavy, symphonic & progressive metal is a joy to listen to and its slightly melancholic sound captures the tragedy of R101 airship crash with poignancy and reverence, all of which creates a song which is equally haunting and beautiful. Meanwhile, it works very well because it's the most ambitious Maiden have arguably been in their careers (and inarguably fair more ambitious than most pop musicians half their age), and the new elements (particularly the orchestral one) being welcome additions to their sound. What could have been an extravagant folly turns into something truly classic and not only the best song of the album, but also of 2015 and arguably Maiden's career. If only most music these days was this good. - Mrveteran

What. This is an amazing song that actually is about something and not about a sappy love story or partying. This deserves to be in the top 10 or at least the top 20 songs of 2015. This just goes to show how dumb mainstream music is and how talentless and boring it is now. And it is sad that people listen to the crap that is on the radio these days

The fact that this song is currently at number 40 bothers me. This needs to be at the top 20. I get that people like songs about breakups and love stories or parties but a single good song in the top 20 wouldn't kill.

How is any song in 2015 above an iron maiden song

42 King Kunta - Kendrick Lamar King Kunta - Kendrick Lamar

Kendrick Lamar is a legendary rapper only two albums and an Ep in and this song not only is his most popular but his best work to date in my opinion. The percussion is present and one again Lamar's flow is incredibly good.

To the person who said this is only two albums in you need to go listen to the excellent album section 80, too many people seem to forget about it.

This really, REALLY should have charted when it first hit the hot 100 back on April 4, 2015. The groove is inhuman, the guitar melody that comes in about a minute into the song is insanely catchy and gives off this dark yet carefree vibe, the percussion is bouncy, the bassline is killer, and the guitar solo at the end...hoo boy. The production is actually perfect. - WonkeyDude98

I like this piece. It is catchy. - madoog

44 The Hills - The Weeknd The Hills - The Weeknd

This is a great song. It manages to create such a dark atmosphere, but still manages to be so enjoyable. Some people might hate its overuse of AutoTune, but I think this is one of the few times AutoTune has been used correctly to make a song very enjoyable. The lyrics are a bit generic, but still not bad. The beat is amazing. The chorus is probably the best part of the song. Everything about this song is enjoyable.

Easily the best song of 2015. I wasn't a huge fan of the other singles The Weekend put out, but this song is a beast.

The Hills is dark and great. It has those booming sounds. This song is deep. I applaud this song. It is another song of his that I like. 5/5 - madoog

45 Ghost Town - Adam Lambert

Ooh! This song is so good! I love it I can listen to this all day it should at least be in the top 10 in my opinion. :-)

This is certainly one of the best song of the year! I'm a huge fan and I'm so proud of him!

One of the only pop songs I've heard recently that contains whistling on the hook and somehow isn't terrible. - Zach808

This song is alright until that horrible drop that does not suit a pop singer at all.

46 The Nights - Avicii The Nights - Avicii

No doubt this is the best video song of this year. - glambert

Exactly, the video and the song is awesome! Love watching the video - sryanbruen

I love his songs and especially this one gives me power. I live in Japan. And I go to Japanese school. But everyone around me knows his song. These days, I'm trying to be able to sing his song!

Deserving of a place in the top 10,for sure! I once listened to this song 9 times in a row. Personally I'd place it 8th.

Avicii's generic mainstream lyricism is back, but it's up a notch from Wake Me Up. - SwagFlicks

49 Dead Inside - Muse Dead Inside - Muse

Best song in the album, better album than last album. I hope muse be better next time

Way too low down in the list - not my favourite on the album, but bloody brilliant anyway.

Best song.. was tough to choose between this and psycho though.. the bridge/end is the best piece of muse-ic I've heard in a long while

Not as good as Reapers or The Handler but still great

50 Good for You - Selena Gomez Good for You - Selena Gomez

Love this song too...This Selena's song makes me relax and more clam

Selena the Queen's back to it again! And if you think the "Old Selena" was better then please catch up. She's 24 years old. She didn't turn into a hoe when she was younger. I support her new mature music better.

I love this song. Only because it is stuck in my head and I heard it on the radio.

She always amaze me.

52 Pedestrian at Best - Courtney Barnett Pedestrian at Best - Courtney Barnett

Courtney Barnett is such an underrated artist. I am surprised this is even on the list. This list is full of tons of crap and I am so relieved to see a good song on here.

Why this song is here? It's not better to be in top ten? where we go!... - peyman_eun

53 Four Five Seconds - Rihanna Four Five Seconds - Rihanna

Paul has nothing to prove to anybody in the entire world, except his grandchildren. This brings him into their world. Outside of that, the whole lot of them should not be allowed within 100 feet of Sir Paul.

This is an abomination. paul is a legend, how did he end up with these 2? How sad. - gemcloben

Well, I love Rihanna, I respect McCartney as a legend. But I hate Kanye. Well, after this music, I started to think that Kanye can sing.

This is SUCH A GOOD SONG! and so catchy! Love it so much

54 Cheerleader - OMI

This song is kinda hilarious, but enjoyable. It is not too bad.

It took omi 7 years 2 write this song

This should be straight up number 1 people are crazy if they think this is dumb

I like the actual music but the singing and lyrics... - wowthisisstupid

56 Invincible - Kelly Clarkson Invincible - Kelly Clarkson

This song deserves more recognition. This should have been the hit Fight Song was. This is inspirational music done right. For those who want to make girl power songs, please take notes from this song.

Love this song. I love the beat, the vocals, everything. I definitely recommend the song to anybody who has taste!

I totally agree this SHOULD have been the hit Fight Song was- better vocals, better video, better singer!

To be honest, I do not remember this song. It did not get the recognition and air play that Fight Song did. Fight Song was ok, but I feel radio overplayed it and now I never want to hear that song again.

57 Magnets - Disclosure Magnets - Disclosure

I like this song magnets because it's not much boring song

It's an electro-lover's dream...and Lorde is one of the few artists who actually has talent. Today's mainstream singers have about as much talent as my pug.

It's Lorde who completes it. It wouldn't be the same with any other artists. I mean, her sultry, salty voice and that bouncy electro beat...ah, wonder. 10/10

Every time I listen to this song is will always dance. It's the soundtrack for peanut's the movie. And I love Meghan train or since the song all about that Bass. My sisters didn't like the song lips are moving

Who are muse, and rita ora, and since when is she and muse are better than Meghan trainor's better when I'm dancing? In poms, we're dancing to this song, it's just amazing!

What a perfect little tune for the Peanuts movie

The most favourite song by Meghan Trainor

60 GDFR - Flo Rida GDFR - Flo Rida

Unfortunately this song falls in the same mold as Right Round. Both songs are incredible for what they were meant for, but they were ripped off of songs (to be honest, as songs I prefer Right Round to Like A Record and prefer GDFR to Talk Dirty), and thus any respect I may have for them is lost. - WonkeyDude98

Not going to lie, this song is actually fairly good.

I still don't get how this ripped of Talk Dirty? Neither sounds remotely the same. - ProPanda

Guilty pleasure - ProPanda
