The Contenders: Page 4
This song just keeps getting better and better every time I listen to it, which is saying something because it is severely overplayed. There's almost no flaws in this. The beat is incredible, the Remy Boyz's guest verses are incredible, and the chorus is incredible.
In particular, this song does two things to appeal to me. First off, right after Fetty Wap says "I got this sewed up" one of the best things ever happens: HE PULLS OFF TONE BLENDING. He's probably the first person to do so. Next, after all the rap songs depicting emotionless relationships, and all the pop songs about breakups, it's nice to hear about an energetic, happy relationship that's genuinely going well.
I give this song a 4/5, and when combined with Stitches getting deducted a point, it evens out my overall score of the year back to 197/500. - WonkeyDude98
This song was a hit. This song deserved airplay. It was nice to hear it on the radio and see it on Billboard. This song should be a bit higher on this list. The song is good. The sounds are nice. Just listen to it. - madoog
Come on who doesn't like fetty!? He is my bae

Earned It is a great song and quite relaxing in a way. His voice is perfect for this song. 2015 was a great year for The Weeknd. - madoog
This song is my shhh. This is perfect for when your significant other deserve a reward because they "Earned It"
Does anyone know why he is called 'The Weeknd' Is it supposed to be Weekend or something?

This is my jam --- nice sounds and lyrics. - madoogV 5 Comments
Nowhere near my favorite Imagine Dragons song, as compared to Bleeding Out and even Gold, its sound is kinda bland and the hyperboles could have been less clumsy. But still, it's incredibly powerful and encompasses just how remorseful Dan is towards his parents. - WonkeyDude98
I really hate how all of the great bands (e.g. P! ATD, FOB, Imagine Dragons, Breaking Benjamin, etc.) are at the lowest numbersV 3 Comments
A self-empowerment anthem that actually has powerful instrumentals and an actual vocal presence to it? This is everything Fight Song should have been. I don't usually even like Demi Lovato, but this song is great.
I love demi lovato. Her voice rocks it is so powerful. She also went through a lot in her past so she is a great idol to a lot of people. This song is also very powerful and meaningful- love it.
This song is great I love Demi's sound and the emotion in her songs and how she puts out music she loves and that she knows others will like and relate to!
Much better version of Demi LovatoV 36 Comments
I listened to this song before it got popular. I showed it to my friends and they thought it was weird and they hated it. Guess whose singing it now? I've always loved this song I love Shawn mendes!
I don't hate this song as much as others, but...I don't like it. The production is kind of weak, Shawn Mendes' falsetto is waay too thick, and the lyrics are broadly about a painful breakup. What makes it worse is his delivery isn't earnest enough to make up for the fact that a lot of the lyrics are over-the-top.
That said, I think Mendes is a decent singer and the lyrics can be treated as such. I give a strong 2/5. - WonkeyDude98
Don't be so hateful self destruct I like this song and 2 others agree with me and none with you take a look and you'll see why
It's also blatantly obvious that he's the only person thumbing down our comments. - TheEvilNuggetCookie
Whenever I hear this song I think of the parody by Rucka Rucka - slimshady901V 78 Comments
I love this song it is so fun and I love the cover " peace is the mission" you should take that to heart.
It should be among the first five. It's a really an awesome song. It's very popular in my school. Popular than many of those listed in top 10.
I don't consider this a masterpiece. I do not like the way this song sounds --- the instrumental and vocals. I could tell that DJ Snake contributed to this track because the sounds stemmed from Turn Down From What are noticeable. DJ Snake's sounds in Lean On are a sharp form of the sounds in Turn Down For What. Microsoft likes this song. Microsoft used this song in their advertisement. - madoog

I just listened to it today 4/12/16. And I gotta say, 7 Years is such a sad, beautiful song. Explains every moment in life. Please listen to this song, I promise you, that you will not regret it. - Catacorn
Great song except for the lyrics. No symbolism, no metaphor, just a man saying what age he is. Very dull, and it seems like something a kid could write.
It's a song about life. Like, the whole life. Every other song seems to be about just one moment in it.

Good song and all, but didn't it become a hit in 2014?
It released in 2014, but it didn't become a hit and its album didn't get released until 2015. - WonkeyDude98
Best song ever, but it didn't come out in 2015
Technically, it did come out in 2015. At least, the album it was on came out in 2015, and Centuries charted only in 2015. However, since it was already eligible for (and already made) my best of 2014 list, I'm not bothering to do it again. - WonkeyDude98
I love Fall Out Boy they are my favorite band! While this isn't my favorite song by them...i still love it!V 25 Comments
Should be in at least top 30... Too good of a song to be this low on the list!
Because some people actually have fairly good hearing so that is why its not in the top 25 DUH!
This is one of the best songs I have ever heard! Why is it not top 25?
This song is absolutely boring and annoying. - madoogV 11 Comments
Demi Lovato could make a good song, who knew? Oh yeah, forgot about Confident. Anyway yeah, Fall Out Boy and Lovato both did fantastic on this track. - WonkeyDude98
This song is really catchy! I love all Fall Out Boy songs!
I love this song! It's irresistible!
When the beat drops... when she jumps in... when they scream into the mic... when I died of happiness...V 55 Comments
I cannot stand this song. Radio overplayed this song and I automatically turn the station whenever it is playing. I have never heard the entire song because it irritates me so much. I think this is one of Taylor's weaker songs and I hated the video. I prefer her simpler songs and low budget productions. There was too much and I don't feel that is a good fit for Taylor. She's all about girl power but the song is dissing another female. Too much hypocrisy and her squad makes me nauseous.
I know how she feel when she was betrayed by her best friend, Katy Perry because I also feel the same when my friends betray me almost everyday. If I was her, I would write Bad Blood too. I don't criticize her when she released this song and Bad Blood also one of my favorite songs on 1989 but I feel disappointed with the verse lyrics its said Did you have to ruined what was shiny and now all rusted. I think that line doesn't comfortable with Bad Blood. - BeaM456
As a Taylor Swift fan and someone who thinks lowly of Katy Perry, this song blows hard. Kendrick Lamar, a rapper I also like, is pretty much frosting on the cake here, and it doesn't even go with the "rap diss" power. The beat is also non-existent, it tries to be an anthem but fails. - Swellow

Sia Is Definitely Getting More a Popular By This Song - RockStarr
Love her voice! Her songs are captivating.
I find her songs quite boring after a whileV 6 Comments
Best vocal of the year, nearly Adele standard!
I found this song on a music app on my tablet. This song is truly amazing, and this is the first song of hers that I like. - madoog
I can relate to this song. I am always hard on myself.
This song is so best songV 10 Comments
G Eazy is underrated and so as this song, I haven't heard it a SINGLE TIME on a radio yet, so if you search up the song you won't regret it, very good song, 5/5
G-Eazy is like one's foot. It's there, but you never notice it. The only difference is that feet are actually important. - WonkeyDude98
I didn't know g Eazy was white until I saw the music video and this song is better than hello or see you again or watch me
Annoying song and overused song title / I immediately stopped listening. - madoogV 17 Comments
"You're alive and still breathing? Not for much longer by the sounds of it! Seriously, will someone please unclip the car battery from her nipples? This slow, shrill, screeching noise pretending to be a song was all over top 40 radio this year, but it should have been confined to a coffeehouse you've probably never heard of between sets a slam poetry." ~ Adam Buckley - TheEvilNuggetCookie
Sure, it sounds powerful, but the vocals is too much. I instantly disliked this song when I first heard it. This song is annoying, and she yells at the top of her lungs. Gosh! - madoog
Sia you are very unique with your music - spodermanfan1000
Fantastic vocal!V 5 Comments
When I watched Spectre, this was one of the best 007 songs I've ever heard. Adele's "SKYFALL" was still better but "Writings on the wall" is a close second and very lyricsal. Lyrical songs have played a huge role in the James Bond movies and it makes the movies outstanding and dramatic and mysterious. Love it! It's my favourite Sam Smith song ever!
All I can say is that Sam Smith made one of the best James Bond songs ever!
I love his vocals, but the songwriting is missing something. It feels very rushed and incomplete.
Sam is one of the best singers of our new time. It is very rare to find good singers nowadays. Yes! he can sing!V 12 Comments
Such meaning behind the lyrics
Also by the best band ever so you know
I love it and the vibes and I love how it is about ADHD because I have it myself and it#s reletable for me.
Love bmth but let's hope they don't get too weak to where the 5sos fans get to them. O.OV 4 Comments
I thought this was off 2015 wasn't she alive when the cavemen were here?
Should be number 1, Manson is such an inspiration to me because he is about being ourselves and that no matter what you look like, you are talented and special to all of people. This song is one if my favourites 😍V 1 Comment
