Top 10 2017 Movies that Should Be Nominated for the Oscar for Best Picture in 2018

The year 2017 is starting to come to a close, and that means the Oscars will be on their way soon! Reflecting back on the year, which of these movies do you think should win the best picture oscar in the coming year? Feel free to add more more entries, this is a discussion list!
The Top Ten
1 Dunkirk

This is the only blockbuster movie this year that I am 100% positive will get a nomination. Last year, only one movie out of the nine nominated reached over $300 million at the box office, which is the amount a movie needs to make to be considered a "blockbuster", in my opinion. It was La La Land, by the way.

I have yet to see this film, but it definitely seems like a movie that would win best picture. It was directed by Christopher Nolan, it handles a mature topic, and it got massive praise!

2 Logan

I only got to see half of this movie so far! But if a superhero movie is going to get best picture, this film may be most likely to get that award, as it takes itself very seriously!

Only superhero movie this year that honestly deserves a nomination

3 Spider-Man: Homecoming

This honestly was my favorite superhero movie of the year with Lego batman (have not finished Logan yet)

4 Baby Driver

Still have yet to see this movie, but it looks badass! I heard many good things about it, and maybe it could be nominated for best picture!

Watched this movie just last night and it is definitely one of my favorites of the year! Everything was cool about this movie!

5 It

Probably the most talked about horror film this year.

We all float down here

6 The LEGO Batman Movie
7 Star Wars: The Last Jedi

No this sucked

8 Get Out

This & Logan are overrated

9 Blade Runner 2049

Mm-hmm. A lot of these movies are worthy contenders for the Academy Award for Best Picture in 2018. Nice list. Do you think you can make one regarding animated movies that should be nominated for the Best Animated Feature Film in 2018? Might be hard since there's not a lot of good Western animated movies this year. Maybe the independent animated movies can be used if there's not enough studio-produced animated movies that are good.

Oh yeah, I should have added this, I haven't seen it but I heard it was great, but a bomb at the box office

It deserved a nomination with Logan over call me by your name and three billboards

It sucks it didn't do amazing at the box office :( This was such an amazing film.

10 Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
The Contenders
11 Cars 3
12 War for the Planet of the Apes

My personal favorite of this year

13 Wonder Woman

A lot of people on this site liked this movie a lot, so I will just put this here even though I didn't think it was that great.

This movie sucked

14 Coco
15 Thor: Ragnarok
16 The Emoji Movie

Not only is Jailbreak the worst character in this movie, but the worst character in the history of animation.

17 Beauty and the Beast

Enough with the la la land done right crap!

Effectively La La Land done right.

18 Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales
19 The Greatest Showman

I actually kind of want to move my rating from a 7 to an 8 on this movie because at first I thought it was fine but I actually really liked a lot of the songs when I come to think of it!

The greatest Showman should get nominated for best picture or best soundtrack
Coco should get best animation- It was buetiful!
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2 Should get best visual effects, honestly the whole movie the graphics were amazing except for that one scene with rocket, yondu, groot, and josh going into hyperspace or whatever that was

20 Lady Macbeth
21 Okja
22 Split
23 Wind River
24 Ingrid Goes West
25 The Florida Project
