Top 10 2019 Disney Movies with the Best Trailers (Excluding Fox Movies)

I’m gonna do something I don’t usually do. Make a list of this year’s Disney movies that have the best trailers. Not including the Fox movies. Now that each non-Fox Disney movie this year got at least one trailer, we can finally rank them. By the way, do NOT add Artemis Fowl to the list. Even though it was supposed to come out this year, it got pushed back to 2020.

The Top Ten

Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker

Remember when people were endlessly complaining about the Last Jedi? Well now they have something else to endlessly complain about. Game of Thrones. Last month, a trailer for the new Star Wars movie, the Rise of Skywalker, was released. Star Wars trailers are always very well made. This is no exception. Everything about this trailer got me excited. I honestly have no idea what is going to happen. I found Endgame to be pretty predictable, but with this film, anything could happen. I’m really looking forward to it. - MegaSoulhero

Spider-Man: Far From Home

This is technically Sony, but it’s in partnership with Disney. So it counts. As a huge Spider-Man fan, these trailers make me happy. It looks like it will end up being a worthy Spider-Man film. The music gives me chills and the action looks epic. The movie will also introduce the multi-verse which can open up a bunch of possibilities. I thought for sure they weren’t gonna do an Uncle Ben story, but in a way they kinda are. In this case, it’s Tony Stark. Peter looked up to Tony and now he’s gone. So that’s pretty much a replacement for the Uncle Ben story. By the way, if it’s been 5 years since the events of Infinity War, how come Peter’s friends don’t look any older and are still in high school? Are they trying to say that all of them just so happened to have gotten dusted? That seems a little too convenient. - MegaSoulhero

Avengers: Endgame

All it took was Tony Stark dying for Robert Downey Jr. to officially become a Disney Legend. The Avengers Endgame trailers were pretty much a great example of how you make trailers. They didn’t show us too much or too little. Just enough to get us excited. Sure, the trailers ended up being better than the actual movie, but they still did a great job at getting us invested. Other movies need to take notes because these are some really great trailers. - MegaSoulhero

Frozen 2

It looks like Elsa and Anna are going to join the Avengers. LOL - Misfire

The first Frozen had a bad teaser trailer and the movie turned out to be great. Frozen 2 has a great teaser trailer, so what if the movie turns out to be bad? From what we saw in the teaser, it looks like the movie will be taking a completely different tone from the first one. I think they’re going on a search for Anna and Elsa’s parents. If the parents are revealed to be alive, the Tarzan theory will be thrown out the window. I like that the teaser doesn’t have any dialogue. Just cool visuals. We don’t know what the plot is, but it still caught our attention. I’m excited for it. Hopefully it will be better than the garbage known as Ralph Breaks the Internet. - MegaSoulhero

Captain Marvel

Captain Marvel has some pretty awesome trailers. Not much to say about them, but they looked really cool. Showed some great cinematography, great action, and I was really hyped for it. It’s too bad the final project didn’t live up to the hype. - MegaSoulhero

The Lion King

Holy schiesse that looks cool. - MattAffterburner

I’m gonna be honest, the trailers for this movie are pretty cool. Unfortunately, I’m still not really excited for the movie. The thing that makes the original so great is the amount of emotion coming from the animals. Just from their facial expressions, we can understand their emotions. This is something that can’t be done on realistic looking CGI animals. There are limits. This would make it hard to relate to the characters. Still, they’re doing a pretty great job with marketing the movie. The music sounds epic and the visuals are phenomenal. - MegaSoulhero

Toy Story 4

The trailers for this movie haven’t been entirely good. Given that it’s a Toy Story film, I expect a lot of emotional elements to it. I haven’t gotten that at all from the trailers. It looks like they’re mostly focusing on comedy. Then again, it’s a Pixar trailer. What should I expect? Still, nothing about these trailers have sold me. They’re not giving me a reason as to why they needed to make this movie in the first place. - MegaSoulhero

I don’t see how anyone can look at these trailers and think to themselves that the movie looks good. Oh that’s right. The Disney logo is on it. That’s really the only reason why people praise these remakes. If they were made by any other studio, people would be hating on them. I mean, come on! Aladdin and Jafar are poorly miscast, the Genie CGI looks like garbage, and it all looks cheap. I also feel like the trailers have been showing a little too much from the movie. It’s like they’re worried about people not seeing it and just want to show us all of it as soon as possible. I’m really dreading seeing this movie. I’m seeing it on Tuesday, but at least I’m seeing it for free. - MegaSoulhero

The trailers pretty much showed us exactly what this movie turned out to be. A dull remake that uses fan service as a way to trick people into thinking they’re watching a good movie. I’ll give the trailers credit for not being misleading. However, the dark sounding version of Baby Mine was very unnecessary. Why do live action Disney remakes have to be so dark? This movie sucked. If the trailers didn’t already tell us that. - MegaSoulhero

Maleficent: Mistress of Evil

AWFUL TRAILER! ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE! This movie is gonna suck. I just know it. Why did it even need to be made? No one liked the first one. It completely ruined the character of Maleficent by making her a misunderstood hero. It seems like in the sequel, they will be making her evil again, but why? I do prefer an evil Maleficent, but given how the first movie ended, it seems weird to see her become a villain. I’m sure it will be explained in the movie, not that I’ll watch it, but I can also easily guess what might happen. She starts out evil then later sees the error of her ways and becomes good again. I hope that isn’t the case. Also, the song during the trailer didn’t add anything at all. - MegaSoulhero
