Top 10 21st Century Movies with the Best SoundtrackA soundtrack to a movie can evoke an emotion out of you, and it accompanies the movie. This is a list of movies from the 21st century (2000 until now) that have the best soundtrack.
The Top Ten
Arguably one of Danny Elfman's tour de forces. No surprise that he is one of Tim Burton's regulars
An actual score as opposed to a glorified mix tape.
I'd put Vol. 2 here as well, GoTG is definitely in my top 3 favorite MCU films, as it is just great. The music is awesome too, it is the 80's music that my mom and dad definitely knew. The music really adds to Peter's character as well, and it also adds to the movie's quality/value. - Phillip873
I just got through watching this film a couple days ago. This is one of my favorites of 2017, but the highlight of this movie is the soundtrack. It's just fantastic how well placed it is. The lyrics can sometimes be read on signs in the background, or the music itself really fits in to the mood of the scene. This could almost be called a musical! - Phillip873
What's the soundtrack? any songs they didn't make just for the movie? - EliHbk
Just the music in the movie, or how the music is used in the movie to express emotion or adding to story - Phillip873
I purchased it on Vinyl 12" for only £19.99, I love it and also Baby Driver is one of the best films of the year and should win the oscar for best picture, I love it, 100%
I feel bad for not including this in the original mix, who doesn't like Shrek's soundtrack? - Phillip873
Definitely has an awesome soundtrack. I jam out to All Star and other songs every day. - Lucasw14
The world was gonna roll me amiright - TristGamer
Any soundtrack with The Proclaimers get an A+ from me!
Smash Mouth was not exactly the sharpest tool in the shed, but it delivered. - DapperPickle
Look, I don't care if you hate this movie because I know a lot of you hate it with passion, but I loved it! The highlight of this movie like Baby Driver is the music. It usually has this jazzy but upbeat feel, or masterful instrumental pieces like the Planetarium scene. I sometimes listen to the soundtrack by itself when I'm doing work or something, because I adored the original songs in this movie. And the ending epilogue scene was just beautiful to me and I actually cried a tiny bit because it really evoked that emotion out of me! - Phillip873
One of the best live-action musicals in years. - phillysports
It Eminem boi. - XxembermasterxX
I love this movie, and I love the soundtrack! The opening scene of the movie with Carl and his wife is completely non-dialogue, so you are left with the soundtrack. And it is just beautiful, it really adds to the movie! The rest of the movie also has such a great soundtrack! - Phillip873
Oh my gosh I forgot how good the music was in this movie until now, I've heard it quite a bit too prior! - Phillip873
This is probably my favorite movie of all time, I loved everything about it, however this list is about soundtracks. This movie is literally about someone who is in a school for music, so of course the music in this movie is just fabulous. But the movie has the symbols on the drum going at some points of stress, and it just adds a whole lot to the stress factor in scenes where the protagonist Andrew is getting yelled at by Fletcher. And the ending is probably one of the absolute best endings to a movie EVER, with a just perfect drum solo that Andrew plays to prove himself! Just watch the movie and you'd understand. - Phillip873
I was dancing during the credits. Best MCU credits ever. - Lucasw14
I liked this movie, but I loved its soundtrack! Hans Zimmer really put out an awesome soundtrack to accompany that does manage to evoke emotions at some point. - Phillip873
At least top 3 is where id put this. - Sop
Sounds like the kind of score that Erich Korngold would have done in the 1930s.
The theme gives me goosebumps
Inside Out's soundtrack really tends to help evoke then emotions of the audience. It is very well done and a little bit memorable. Some of it was just beautiful! - Phillip873
It almost feels like cheating putting this here, it's John Williams, the legend himself. All Star Wars movies have just beautiful soundtracks, and TFA and Rogue One are no exception. - Phillip873
This is my father's favorite movie of all time. I haven't watched it in a LONG time (that's why I haven't talked about it yet), but I do remember the music being really good for some reason. - Phillip873
People really don't talk much about The Lego Movie's soundtrack except for "Everything is Awesome" (which isn't that bad). The rest of the soundtrack is actually pretty nice! It has this sort of "epic" feel to it if you know what I mean. - Phillip873
One of my favorite works from the great Hans Zimmer. - cjWriter1997
The only good sounding song on here is "One Small Thing", all the rest suck, "Open Up Your Eyes" sounds like a "Be Prepared" wannabe and too much like Tim Burton in the flashback sequence, and all the other songs are generic, sound like they're trying to imitate Disney (a problem with MLP's music in general) and forgettable.
It has Blink-182, Green Day, and Sum 41 songs, enough said.
