My Favorite TV Shows as a Kid

The following Television shows were some of my favorite shows to watch when I was little (age 1-11)
The Top Ten
1 Thomas and Friends Thomas & Friends is a British children's television series. In the United Kingdom, it had its first broadcast on the ITV network in Great Britain in 1984.

I’ve loved railroads since I was little, and of course that included Thomas and Friends. I still have all my wooden Thomas trains, though they’re just put away.

2 Sesame Street Sesame Street is a long-running American children's television series, produced by Sesame Workshop and created by Joan Ganz Cooney and Lloyd Morrisett.

A true classic. I bet it will continue to air for generations to come.

3 Bear In the Big Blue House Bear in the Big Blue House was a preschool variety show which was the most famous, popular, and fondly-remembered Playhouse Disney show, produced by the Jim Henson Company. The host, the titular Bear (Noel MacNeal) used his gentle charm and mannerisms to communicate with his audience of children. Topics centered on nearly every conceivable matter of concern to children, ranging from cooperation, telling the truth, sharing, and going to sleep. One of his strong beliefs was to not talk down to, patronize, or belittle his child audience when dealing with material. The show ran from 1997 - 2006.

I feel like not too many people know about this show.

4 Fetch! with Ruff Ruffman Fetch! with Ruff Ruffman, sometimes shortened as Fetch!, is an American animated television series that was on PBS Kids.

Oh man, this was a favorite of mine, and it still is.

5 WordGirl WordGirl is an American children’s animated television series produced by the Soup2Nuts animation unit of Scholastic Entertainment for PBS Kids.

I was a fan of this show about the same time period when I was a fan of Fetch!

6 Jay Jay The Jet Plane

I used to have a ton of Jay Jay toys.

7 Dora the Explorer Dora the Explorer (2000 - 2019) is an American preschool educational animated TV series created by Chris Gifford, Valerie Walsh, and Eric Weiner in which Dora goes on adventures with her friend, a monkey named Boots.

Yes, I admit I was a big Dora the Explorer fan when I was around 3-7 years old. I don’t like her anymore.

8 Super Why Super Why! or The Reading Adventures of Super Why! is an American-Canadian children's CGI animated show developed by Angela Santomero and Samantha Freeman Alpert. The series is produced by New York City-based Out of the Blue Enterprises and Toronto-based DHX Media through its Decode Entertainment division. The show debuted on PBS stations on September 3, 2007 and went on hiatus in October 2012 for 2 years and 10 months. The series resumed again on August 17, 2015. The series airs on PBS Kids and aired on Sprout until 2015 in the USA, Kids' CBC and Family Jr. in Canada, and as of June 26, 2014, Nick Jr. and Tiny Pop in the UK.

Again, I liked this show around my 3rd-4th grade years.

9 Busytown Mysteries

This is probably the show I liked in a time period on this list when I was the oldest. I was around 11 years old.

10 Blue’s Clues

I wasn’t a real big fan but I would watch it.
