Martin Canine's Most Listened to Songs of This Week (March 12th to 18th, 2018) According to His Smartphone

Over here, it's far beyond midnight right now, so you know what that means, right? It's Monday! Time to look at what music I listened to most often last week!

The number one item is a really strong song released this year, one that has this special aura that great masterpieces are made of. I doubt it will rank highly on many people's best lists though, as it is neither well known nor compatible with mass taste, but so far, three month into 2018, it's among the greatest tracks released. But the year is still young and I'm excited for what's to come.

My second most listened to song this week is laut.de's pick for the best song of 2017. At first I didn't get what's supposed to be so special about it... but it's infectious like a virus, and in the meantime, I like this funky jam as much as the tracks I selected as my own top songs of last year.

Another thing I want to add: I shortlisted number eight on this list for my favorite songs of 2018. It's a great synth pop song with bitter lyrics and an earworm beat, and you should give it a try, regardless of your own personal bias towards the artist. If you still don't like it, that's fine. But at least give it a careful listening before judging.
