The Top Ten
1 Roller Coasters

You wait in line with high anticipation, your palms sweat, your bladder and bowels become full.
As you go on the ride, you beg to get off, but it’s too late.
So (usually), you go up the lift hill, and you’re hundreds of feet high, and there’s a build-up, and your heart keeps racing higher, your body temperature going up, and your palms keep sweating.
Once you go down the big drop, it’s constant out-of-control and intense madness with relentless turns, drops, and forces that leave you screaming and holding on for your life, and leaving you breathless and your life flashed before your eyes.
It’s an adrenalizing rush.

When the ride’s over, you come off weak in the knees, and you look at your photo it took of you, with an awkward petrified face, leaving you extremely embarrassed.
Depending on the person, you might be the person that ended up loving it and wanting to go on it again, or you might be traumatized to the point of not wanting to ride one again.

2 Drop Towers

The next most popular type of thrill rides.
Riders go on these “elevators” that take them up, and then drop them.
Anticipation is a large key in this factor, since you’re wondering what it’ll be like when you drop.
When you drop, it’s a constant suprise and adrenaline rush.
Most drop towers are short, but some keep dropping and launching you.
Good example is Disney World’s Tower of Terror, largely due to it’s immersive theming and randomness of the drops.
The largest drop tower right now is Zumanjaro Drop of Doom, inside Kingda Ka at Six Flags Great Adventure.
They scare a lot of people.

My 10 year old sister has been on one and was traumatized for life after. 13 year old me didn't mind it, but my sister told her friend that it was her who wasn't scared and me who was traumatized. -CandyBlood13

I actually like these.

3 Turbines

They’re giant spinning rides that are usually 2 sided, and they spin really fast and vertically, producing g-force that are full of dread and torture, yet you even flip throughout the ride.
Also, you pause at the highest peak, and get a breathtaking view of the park from your seat.
Scary for people who hate g-forces and heights.

Turbines are rides that give excellent hangtime when you are upside down, and go so slow that lines tend to be real long. And best of all, this ride actually generates power instead of wasting it.

That sounds like fun, but I've never been on one.

4 Slingshots

Some of the most extreme rides at amusement parks.
You are shot up to hundreds of miles per hour in seconds, producing g-forces that are unrelenting and can cause you to pass out many times throughout the ride.
They involve heights and g-forces, all of which will knock you messed up and praying for dear life.

5 Frisbees

If you’ve ever been on a rounded swing as a child, then this takes these to the extremes.
These are pendulum rides where the base swings back and forth at ridiculous heights.
Leaving everyone screaming for their lives.
Some even take you upside down with their 360° flips, which are scary especially for people who can’t handle going upside down.

6 Starflyers

They spin you really high in individual seats and there’s only a lap bar to hold you in.
So it’s a constant thrill throughout the ride.

Those are the best.

7 Fireballs

Kinda like frisbees, but the base is just seats and not a disk.
They’re usually smaller, but still thrilling.
In one moment in 2017, at the Ohio State Fair, one of them fell apart, killing 1 and injuring many people.

You mean like Hadokens and Kamehameha blasts?

8 Pirate Ships

Types of pendulums that look like pirate ships.
Like other pendulum rides, you swing at significant heights and sometimes go upside down.

Only the upside down ones.

Those are fun.

9 Gravitrons

They look like ufos from science fiction, but they’re real.
They spin you so fast with enough g-force that they stick you to the wall and crush you, and it’s constant unrelenting madness.

I think I've been on one. It was excellent.

10 Shoot the Chutes

They are characterized by lifts and water.
They also contain drops, which’ll take you by surprise.
Some of them are so huge that riders are hesitant about going on them.

Fun, not scary
