The beat of this chart topping hip hop song with an all star ensemble sounds like nothing I have ever heard. Also, the artists' parts combine different subgenres of German hip hop: Trettmann sings an Afrotrap chorus, Gringo raps early 2010s rap verse that sounds like a hybrid of Shindy and Haftbefehl, Ufo361 has a trap style and Gzuz performs in a brutal gangsta rap style. And still, it all fits perfectly together on KitschKrieg's electrifying beat.
Contemporary RnB, my friends. Just how it should sound like.
Watch any Dario Argento movie and be sure to have an earworm from the soundtrack. I mean: listen to it. Is this a piece of score or the next big hit song?
And now, my friends - THIS is Afrotrap. This sounds just massive and heavy, yet still summery and dancehall inspired. None of the many copycats managed to do that.

I may not be too fond of the fact they toned down the lyrics a bit (replacing "the bomb is ticking / you kidnapped me, you terrorist" with "you bring me no luck / I am and will always stay a pessimist", and "I stand on the front, thoughtless horizon" with "I stand here alone, thoughtless horizon" - and no, it wasn't censorship, the newer version was aimed at the German market which is more politically correct than Austria), but wow, the instrumental is an absolute improvement over the 2003 version.
Need I say anything? One of the greatest songs of the emo scene.
This song was much hated on, mostly for being pseudo-deep and having had a terrible marketing strategy copying Dat Adam. Put all that aside - the beat is ungodly great.
Why did I ever underestimate this woman, let alone to the extent I did?
