Top 10 Reasons Nickelodeon Will Likely Go Out of Business Soon

Nickelodeon used to be a great channel, but lately they’ve been taking away good shows and replacing them with garbage, yet it’s all for the money.
They have become greedy to the point of no longer caring about their fans and taking away good shows, making them lose viewers, and therefore their money.
On November 27, Stephen Hillenburg has died, putting SpongeBob SquarePants on the road of its demise.
Here’s why Nickelodeon’s prone to going out of business.

The Top Ten
1 Stephen Hillenburg Has Died

Stephen Hillenburg, the original creator of SpongeBob SquarePants, has died on November 27, 2018 from ALS at 57.

He was an iconic T.V. legend who put all his time and effort into the show and brought it to existence, therefore, SpongeBob captivated everyone’s minds.
There are original classic episodes, like Band Geeks, with all the funny lines and good morals, and many more.

Though after the 2004 movie, Stephen and his crew retired, putting the show through seasonal rot, and filled with bad episodes filled with splinters, gross stuff, Squidward/Gary/Plankton torture episodes, including those filled with suicide jokes such as One Coarse Meal, Are You Happy Now, and Out of the Picture(though Gary Takes a Bath had one too and that was before movie 1).

Then it was headed back to it’s glory days after Stephen and his team returned by the 2nd movie Sponge out of Water, though unfortunely he just started having ALS and left, putting the show back downhill once ...more

We’re Going To Miss You Stephen Hillenberg😢

It may not feel the same without him. But There's still producers and workers helping SpongeBob.

2 They Cancel Good Shows Too Soon

They had awesome shows back then, such as Invader Zim, ChalkZone, Hey Arnold, Rugrats, All Grown Up, Rocket Power, Clarissa Explains It All, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Kenan & Kel, Are You Afraid of the Dark, Catscratch, Yakkity Yak, My Life as a Teenage Robot, All That, The Amanda Show, The Fairly OddParents, The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron Boy Genuis, Drake & Josh, Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide, iCarly, Back at the Barnyard, The Penguins of Madagascar, Victorious, Every Witch Way, Harvey Beaks, WITS Academy, 100 Things to Do Before High School, and Miraculous.

While some shows stood the test of time and ran their full length, they cancelled all of the others and replaced them with garbage such as The Mighty B, Fanboy & Chum Chum, Robot & Monster, Planet Sheen, Rocket Monkeys, Monsters vs. Aliens, Marvin Marvin, Sam & Cat, The Thundermans, Henry Danger, Nicky Ricky Dicky & Dawn, Game Shakers, Sanjay and Craig, Breadwinners, Oggy and the Cockroaches, Pig Goat ...more

3 They Rejected Adventure Time

They had a potential, but instead, they decided to reject Adventure Time and put up Fanboy & Chum Chum.
If Adventure Time went on Nickelodeon, it could’ve been an awesome show, but instead, they put it on Cartoon Network and have Fanboy & Chum Chum on the channel.

Yet Nickelodeon said Adventure Time would be “too weird” for their channel, but that doesn’t explain why they aired gross shows such as Fanboy & Chum Chum, Planet Sheen, Rocket Monkeys, Robot & Monster, Sanjay and Craig, Breadwinners, and Pig Goat Banana Cricket.

It was such a STUPID decision that lead to a loss of views and a closer step to them running out of business.

4 SpongeBobsquarepants Went Downhill After the 2004 Movie

SpongeBob used to be a great show, but after the 1st movie in 2004, it went downhill, with episodes that rely on boring, gross, and mean-spirited humor.

Some episodes were filled with things like the splinter, some had torture of great characters, like Squidward, some were even mean-spirited, like One Coarse Meal, A Pal for Gary and Stuck on the Wringer, filled with gross elements, suicide jokes, torturing innocent characters and doing and saying mean things to characters like Squidward, Gary and Plankton.

For all these reasons, SpongeBob SquarePants has been losing viewers and ratings, and it’s all because Stephen Hillenburg and the other original writers were fired, and then they returned during the 2nd movie, so the show got better.
But then Stephen Hillenburg was diagnosed in 2017 with ALS and someone took his place, putting the show back downhill, making it lose viewers once more.
Then on November 27, 2018, Stephen Hillenburg died from his ALS at 57, and the ...more

5 They Put a Huge Emphasis on Trashy Sitcoms

Nickelodeon used to have great shows like All That, The Amanda Show, Kenan & Kel, Taina, Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide, Victorious, WITS Academy and 100 Things to Do Before High School.

But those were cancelled too soon, and there were some that stood the test of time and ended like promised, like Clarissa Explains It All, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, iCarly, Big Time Rush and Every Witch Way.

Most of the good sitcoms were cancelled too soon and replaced with crappy ones like Sam & Cat, The Thundermans, Henry Danger, Max & Shred, Game Shakers, Nicky, Ricky, Dicky and Dawn, Knight Squad and Star Falls.

Bad shows aired their full prime and most of the good ones got cancelled too soon.

Yet worse was when they cancelled all the classic nicktoons and replaced them with crappy shows, including crappy butt-filled cartoons and trashy sitcoms.

For these reasons, Nickelodeon’s been losing viewers, which means losing money, putting them a step ...more

6 They Greenlit Pig Goat Banana Cricket

This show once had potential of being decent, and comparing to Ren & Stimpy, but instead, they poorly executed it and made it disgusting and full of bathroom jokes and humor.
Not to mention the episodes ripped off those of classic shows like SpongeBob.

7 They Greenlit Breadwinners

Truly disgusting, the green ducks look like frogs, and they look like green frogs that were drunk and high on cocaine, and they talked about nothing but fart and butt jokes.
Yet one episode had a date rape joke, which is just sick and I don’t get why Nickelodeon would show kids that stuff?

There was basically no plot or story, nor comedy and it was just the green duckfrogs being stupid and repulsive.

Plus, it was originally a YouTube short, but got imported to Nickelodeon as a series.
Fred also originated from YouTube, and got imported to Nickelodeon.
And to make matters worse, when Fred got his own show on Nickelodeon, it got bad reviews, though Nickelodeon cancelled it, and with this, Breadwinners also got bad reviews, but they gave it more seasons.
Just STUPID!

Don’t watch the reruns.

8 They Greenlit Sanjay and Craig

Such a disgusting and vile show, filled with nothing but fart and butt jokes.
Almost every episode had some sort of butt or fart joke, and they mentioned pee and poop as well.
It was truly disgusting and the elements were fairly graphic, not to mention the art looked like Bob’s Burgers, which is an Adult Swim show, and Nickelodeon wasn’t just meant for adults, it was for kids as well.

9 They Greenlit Fanboy & Chum Chum

That was a horrible show to air on Nickelodeon, it had toilet humor filled with butt jokes, and they were drugged up and acting stupid.
They were basically drunk, it taught kids to act and be drunk.
Worse was that it was made after they rejected Adventure Time, which had a huge potential, but instead got rejected and out onto Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon greenlit this abomination instead.
Thank goodness this ended, but it shouldn’t have been made in the 1st place.

10 They Added Jojo Siwa

We already had Fred on Nickelodeon, do we really need Jojo Siwa?
Yet she’s a YouTuber, and like Fred, she was born in Nebraska and got shows of her own on Nickelodeon such as Lip Sync Battle Shorties and the JoJo and BowBow Show Show.
