Ten Honorable Mentions of Martin Canine's Upcoming "50 Greatest Songs of 2018" List (Ranked Alphabetically)

2018 is about to come to an end and we sure got a lot of awesome music this year as well. Several best of lists of the year have already been released by magazines and music websites, with very different tracks selected - this year, there appear to be more different opinions than in the years before.

My own list will include 50 songs and is scheduled to be released on January 1st of 2019, to make sure I get to listen the most songs that I can. My strategy proved to be a good one, as in December some songs did drop that will appear highly on my ranking. Hundreds of songs were shortlisted, and I listened to even more music than before as I finally swallowed my pride and checked out streaming. Finally, I reduced the list to 60 to 70 amazing songs, and had a hard time picking my final 50. If there won’t be any monster of a track in the last week of 2018 (or if I happen to discover a song I missed), this draft will be my final list.

These 10 songs were the ones that I removed last. They just barely didn’t make it into my ranking. They are awesome, and brought a lot of enjoyment to me this year, but there were some that were just that bit better. I still feel they deserve an honorable mention, and also it’s a little tease for you to get curious about my upcoming best of 2018 list.

NOTE: while these ten songs don’t have any texts going along with it, the 50 songs that made it will have short descriptions going along with them.
