Top Ten Best Mario Kart Wii Stages

This is my favourite Mario Kart game; my childhood. I love this game so much! But some tracks are just better than others.

This list excludes all custom tracks as I have never played a custom track before.

Honourable Mentions:
N64 Bowser's Castle
DK Summit
Koopa Cape
N64 DK's Jungle Parkway

My NEXT list will be a community list so that other people can add items to the list :)

The Top Ten
1 Toad's Factory

This is the best course in Mario Kart Wii in my opinion. Everything about it is so fun. It's the perfect length, even, at just over (or for me, under) 2 minutes long! There are so many segments of this course; the beginning where you have to avoid those big stamp things (I don't know what they're called), the item box packaging section, and the part with the giant tractors moving back and forth. Also, the lake jump is a good shortcut if you want to shave off a couple seconds to improve your time and beat that pesky fast staff ghost! I love this course so much that I had to rank it at #1.

2 Mushroom Gorge

Two tracks from the mushroom cup back-to-back! There are two main segments in this one: the outside part and the cave section. There are all sorts of shortcuts with varying degrees of difficulty too; you have the little one at the very beginning, all sorts of grass cuts, the gap jump, and that huge exploit that shaves off almost the whole lap! The course is very fun to play, casually or for glory.

3 GCN DK Mountain

How weird that a retro track would make it into my top 10. This track is by far my favourite retro track. The song for this track is my favourite that this game has to offer. Amazing track overall. The angry mountain is a nice flashback to Mario Kart Double Dash.

4 Grumble Volcano

A really unique track. Having pieces slowly fall from the track as you progress through the track is an amazing detail. The music is one of the many jams that MKWii boasts. It's fast-paced and very fun to listen to just casually. I recommend this course for newcomers (just don't fall in the lava! ).

5 Dry Dry Ruins

Really underrated track. The music changing as you enter the desert is a nice touch. The course has a lot of replayability value too thanks to all the shortcuts! I like how in a way, it's inspired by GBA Yoshi Desert (perhaps that track could be remade in MK9? Please!? ) with the statue of a Yoshi-sphinx hybrid (you'd have to see it to understand).

6 Coconut Mall

My favourite Flower Cup track. As you may already have guessed, I'm a sucker for tracks with many different parts, and this course is one of them! You got the food court, the - food court, the - other food court, and the parking lot! At least the three food courts are different (maybe one of them is another type of court, I don't pay attention)!

7 Wario's Gold Mine

Another Flower Cup course. This course lacks in segments, with only the outdoor section and two small cave sections, but this course is so fun! One major problem is those pesky mine carts in the second half; I always seem to hit them and fall into the abyss. Oh well!

8 Maple Treeway

"oH fInAlLy mApLe tReEwAy." Maple Treeway is slightly overrated in my opinion, but it is still one of my favourite tracks. I love all the unique segments, and those giant Wigglers make me feel really small. Maple Treeway is a very fun course, and the music is very fun, too.

I like seeking out the star in the leaf piles

9 Moonview Highway

An extremely underrated course. It is probably the most lively course in the game with all those vehicles flying around in every direction! I love city courses, as I live in a city myself. I'd certainly like to visit Moonview Highway if it actually existed.

10 Bowser's Castle

My favourite Bowser's Castle in the series, along with the one from Mario Kart Double Dash. This course is really cool, and the best part is the giant metal Bowser spitting out giant fireballs that you dodge using the half pipes on the sides! Awesome course.
