Davood Ali Asgari, better known by his stage name Locksmith, is an American rapper from Richmond, California. An artist that most people might not be familiar with, I strongly recommend him to any fan of real hip hop. Everybody always talks about how amazing Kendrick Lamar is, but I doubt they've listened to this guy, he is actually a lot better than Kendrick (in my humble opinion)
Run the Jewels, also known by the initialism RTJ, is an American hip hop duo consisting of rapper/producer El-P and rapper Killer Mike. Looking forward to RTJ4.
Kind of premature having them them before their album is released (even if their previous albums were great).
Jermaine Lamarr Cole, better known by his stage name J. Cole, is an American hip hop recording artist and record producer. One of the most promising modern rappers.
Now this guy gets a lot of hate, and I'm sure some people will have a meltdown for me adding him in this list, but he's honestly a really good artist. He can rap, he can sing, he produces his own music, he's actually a much better version of Drake in my opinion.
Guy Theodore Sebastian is an Malaysian-Australian singer and songwriter. He was the first winner of Australian Idol in 2003, and a judge on Australia's The X Factor from 2010 to 2012 and then again in 2015 and 2016. This guy just has one hell of an amazing voice
Christian Webster, better known by his stage name Chris Webby, is an American rapper from Norwalk, Connecticut. This guy actually proves that even at this day in age, you can make bangers but not let lyricism take a backseat.
One of the few actual good r&b artists left, he brings a unique style that is smooth and refreshing.
Jo-Vaughn Virginie Scott, better known by his stage name Joey Badass, is an American hip hop recording artist and actor. One of the best modern rappers, All-Amerikkkan Bada$$ was one of the best hip hop albums of recent years, and again he is better than everybody's favorite overrated rapper Kendrick Lamar. Hopefully he will release another album in 2019.
Khalid Donnel Robinson, known mononymously as Khalid, is an American singer and songwriter. He is signed to Right Hand Music Group and RCA Records. Definitely one of the best modern artists in r&b and music in general.
Jonathan McCollum, better known by his stage name Rittz, is an American rapper from Gwinnett County, Georgia. One of the best rappers of our time, hopefully 2019 will see the release of a new album, now that he has left Strange Music it will be interesting to see what he will do.
