The Top Ten

1 ABBA ABBA ABBA were a Swedish pop group formed in Stockholm in 1972 by members Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, and Anni-Frid Lyngstad.

Disco? Seriously? A good example of "only got in because of how popular they are." - winterbreeze

Wait, seriously? They’re in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? Lol! No hate on ABBA, I actually like them, but this is pretty funny. At least they have pop rock songs, though. - Misfire

2 N.W.A N.W.A N.W.A was an American hip hop group from Compton, CA. They were among the earliest and most significant popularizers and controversial figures of the gangsta rap subgenre, and are widely considered one of the seminal groups in the history of hip hop music.

Rap just doesn't feel right to be in The Hall. There's needs to be some sort of a Rap Hall Of Fame. Beastie Boys is an exception. - winterbreeze

Whoever thought they deserved to get in should be fired ASAP. They literally influenced nobody and only famous for a couple of trash songs. One of the worst things about the 80's. - winterbreeze

I will quite literally FIGHT whoever put this on this list

You give love, wait not love, Bon Jovi's fanbase a bad name with these comments - Alkadikce

I only know a few songs from them, but I don’t see anything wrong with them being in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame to be honest. - Misfire

You’re wrong. - Userguy44

Come on. There's needs to be a Pop Hall Of Fame or something. This is silly. - winterbreeze

Her music isn't even rock. - NickelodeonYesAddminNo

5 Janet Jackson Janet Jackson Janet Jackson is a singer and dancer who is well known for her sexually graphic records, iconic performances, and slightly weak voice. She is regarded as a sex symbol through her songs and videos.

Yes, I'm quite aware that Janet is as equally popular as her brother. There was even a time when she was more popular than Michael (early 2000's). But it's the same case with Madonna. - winterbreeze

6 Tupac Tupac Tupac Amaru Shakur, also known as 2Pac, was an American rapper and actor born on June 16, 1971 in East Harlem, New York. Same case with N.W.A. - winterbreeze

7 Def Leppard Def Leppard Def Leppard are an English rock band formed in 1977 in Sheffield as part of the new wave of British heavy metal movement.

Basically the same thing as Bon Jovi. At least some people were apparently influenced by Def Leppard, like Taylor Swift. But that still doesn't help in their case at all. - winterbreeze

Def Leppard were an influence on both Metallica and Pantera so that does help in their case. - rossrivero99

8 Guns N' Roses Guns N' Roses Guns N' Roses is an American hard rock band from Los Angeles formed in 1985. The classic lineup, as signed to Geffen Records in 1986, consisted of vocalist Axl Rose, lead guitarist Slash, rhythm guitarist Izzy Stradlin, bassist Duff McKagan, and drummer Steven Adler. The only album people actually remember them for was Appetite For Destruction. They VERY quickly fell apart after that. At least they made an actual good song before they split, November Rain. - winterbreeze

Kind of disagree here admittedly they only had one classic album but that is considered not just one of the best hard rock albums of all time but one of the best albums of all time full stop. They had probably more classic songs on that one album than some of the most famous bands ever have in their whole discography.

Why shouldn’t they be included in it? - Misfire

9 Dire Straits Dire Straits Dire Straits were a British rock band formed in 1977 by Mark Knopfler, his younger brother David Knopfler, John Illsley, and Pick Withers.

Literally only famous for Money For Nothing. - winterbreeze

I'm with these guys. Dire Straits' catalogue is full of great songs, and Mark is a great guitar player. Also, their music sounds more fresh and honest than most of what was going on at the time. - Gg2000

10 Stevie Nicks Stevie Nicks Stephanie Lynn "Stevie" Nicks is an American singer and songwriter, best known for her work with Fleetwood Mac and an extensive solo career, which collectively have produced over forty Top 50 hits and sold over 140 million albums.

Don't get me wrong, she's amazing in Fleetwood Mac. But her solo stint is... dicey to say the least. I just don't think that's enough to have her get in. - winterbreeze

She has a very ORDINARY VOICE.
