Martin Canine's Most Listened To Songs of This Week (February 11th to 17th, 2019) According To His Smartphone

Of course, you know the procedure already, so let's already start to take a peek at my most listened to tracks of last week (that rhymed, and what rhymes is good)!

Part of this is due my current best selling songs list series, part of them are brand new songs I really like, number 9 is due to my newly started post series, and number 6 and 10... are just cool songs.
The Top Ten
1 Bobby Brown Goes Down - Frank Zappa

I really need to get into Frank Zappa more. But where to start when an artist has over 100 albums?

2 Old Pop In an Oak - Rednex
3 Wish You Were Here - Rednex
4 Hold On - Bonnie Tyler

Bonnie Tyler is back... and much like Kim Wilde's "Kandy Krush" last year, this song sounds as if not a single day passed since her heydays. Not the Jim Steinman or Dieter Bohlen eras, though, her first hits such as "Lost in France" or "It's a Heartbreak". "Hold On" is at the exact same level.

5 Cotton Eye Joe - Rednex
6 Je t'aime... moi non plus - Serge Gainsbourg & Jane Birkin

The world's most sensual song ever recorded... apart from their intimate voices and the excited breathing... I love the strings that intensify throughout the song.

7 bloodline - Ariana Grande

I need to give "sweetener" another try. It was one of my biggest musical disappointments of last year, and though my 2 star rating may have been a bit too harsh (3 would have been enough), not much of it stuck with me. "thank u, next" is the opposite: sheer pop pleasure from beginning to start.

8 5 Minuten - KitschKrieg, Cro, AnnenMayKantereit & Trettmann

This organic indie / hip hop hybrid is quite the opposite of KitschKrieg's electronica influenced Afrotrap hit single "Standard" from last year. I really don't know what to expect of the newly arrived production group in the future, but I like what I heard so far.

9 Der Traum vom Fliegen - Alexandra

I decided to start a new series of album reviews called "Great Albums", in which I'll write retrospective reviews about albums I consider absolutely amazing. No matter the age, origin, legacy or genre. Alexandra's self titled album was the first entry.

10 Fire - Magic Affair

Was in the mood for some eurodance after I started my list series. The song itself wasn't a hit, but who cares?
