Ways Modern Music Sounds so Bad

#1 for me, too. I avoid autotune by listening to metal.

Especially too much autotune. I don’t really mind it in rap, but it’s annoying as hell in pop music.

There is a very good reason for this you see humans have a tendency to be more likely to enjoy things they have already heard from somewhere else so that is usually the beats but it can also be the themes, the chords, the tempo and the singing.

This is actually on purpose. Look up "Millennial Whoop" to see exactly how this is done.

This once again is by design see the music is made to sound louder so it draws you in as a listener but acoustics and punchiness have to suffer for it.

Aka "the loudness war". No, it isn't related to metal music being loud. It's something different that affects mostly popular music of today.

I can’t listen to new pop with headphones because the bass and fake drums hurts my ears

This again is by design see the masses don't want complicated lyrics that boor them they just want to listen to something that is loud and is liked by the most amount of people while people who like music have to suffer for it.

Music just does not have as much creativity as it once did this again is because of selling to the masses business see what people like and what will maximise a profit without willing to branch out. So the same stories particularly about the story of love and not much else.

Everything in modern music is defined under pop ok so that is not completely true there are different genres out there but those are typically unknown to most music listeners simply because people are more likely to listen to music that they already know.

Kanye west, Chris brown, Miley Cyrus, Ariana Grande the list goes on all have the same problem they believe (in different proportions) that they are on top of the world and believe them and their girl-boyfriends are the most important things in the world.
