Top Ten Albums That Topped The Austrian Ö3 Charts in 2019

Classical music, pop, hip hop, indie rock, schlager or death metal: the top position of the Austrian charts is tied between all kinds of genres in 2019. Each of them has a strong following, although the fanbases are widely different, and each of the albums were anticipated at least in their respective group, if not by the entire public. On an interesting note, it is quite easy to tell apart which albums made it to the top predominantly through streams, and which ones through physical sales, by checking if they spawned hit songs. If they didn’t, people likely bought the CD. In Austria, streaming basically blew off in the past two years.
