The Top Ten
1 Led Zeppelin Led Zeppelin was an English hard rock band formed in London in 1968 as the New Yardbirds. The group consisted of Robert Plant (Vocal), Jimmy Page (Guitar), John Paul Jones (Bass, Keyboard) and John Bonham (Drums) and was very much the child of Jimmy Page who even financed their first tour. He had tasted some previous success with The [original] Yardbirds and was friendly with some big names in rock... read more

9/10. They're just so consistent in making songs that I enjoy.

3/10 - Immigrant Song and Stairway To Heaven are decent enough, but their other songs are pretty lame and cringy. I don't like the singing or the guitar work that much either.

7.5-8 out of 10 (?)
They are quite overhated (and overpraised), not gonna lie.

2 Queen Queen are an English rock band formed in London in 1970. The original lineup was Freddie Mercury (lead vocals, piano), Brian May (guitar, vocals), Roger Taylor (drums, vocals), and John Deacon (bass guitar, vocals). Before forming into Queen, Brian May and Roger Taylor had played together in a band named Smile. Freddie Mercury was a fan of Smile and encouraged them to experiment with more elaborate... read more

10/10. My favourite classic rock band.

7.5/10 - to be honest, their music isn't my style, but they were VERY talented and awesome musicians.

10/10. Amazing band with very talented musicians and memorable songs

3 The Beatles The Beatles were an English pop rock band formed in Liverpool in 1960. The members consisted of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr. They were soon known as the foremost and most influential act of rock era. 6/10. Intensely overrated, but still good.

9/10. I’ll admit that they are pretty overrated, but they made many catchy and memorable songs. The members also were pretty talented. Plus, they were very influential

8/10 - they have some nice songs. They're quite overrated though and get way too much credit.

4 Pink Floyd Pink Floyd are an English progressive rock band formed in 1965 in London, England. They achieved international acclaim with their progressive and psychedelic music. The band consisted of 5 members - David Gilmour (Vocals and Guitar), Syd Barrett (Vocals and Guitar), Nick Mason (Drums), Roger Waters (Vocals and Bass), and Richard Wright (Vocals and Keyboard). 6/10. Like their music, but not a big fan.

7.5/10 - eh, their songs are kinda boring but I still like them and enjoy listening to them from time to time.

10/10. Still the best prog rock band ever in my opinion

7/10. TBH they're just overplayed in my opinion.

10/10. Best Hard Rock band of all time. Couldn't stop listening to their songs when I was in highschool.

10/10 - what can I say? They're an awesome band and one of my favourites.

6 AC/DC AC/DC are a Australian hard rock band, formed in November 1973 by brothers Malcolm and Angus Young, who continued as members until Malcolm's illness and departure in 2014 . They were fronted by Bon Scott until his untimely death due to alcohol poisoning in 1979, after which they hired Brian Johnson to front the band. Commonly referred to as a hard rock or blues rock band.

3/10. I very much dislike their style of music, that's just my opinion.

4/10 - I don't like the weird yelping vocal style that both of their singers used. It reminds me of a cat getting run over by a car. Also, a lot of their songs have the exact same guitar riffs (ex. Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap and TNT). Angus Young is a good guitarist and they have a couple of okay songs, but that's about the most positive thing I can say about them.

Sorry not giving an out of ten rating but they are OK although I am certainly not a fan.

6.5/10. Have some very great songs.

5.5/10 - I like some of their songs, but they don't deserve to be called one of the greatest bands of all time because as musicians and songwriters, they were quite average (Dave Grohl is a very talented man though).

6/10. I respect this grunge band, but they aren’t the best. Nevermind is an alright album, but not even close to their best. Smells Like Teen Spirit is way too overrated

The original lineup was James Hetfield (Vocalist and Rhythm guitarist), Dave Mustaine (Lead Guitar), Lars Ulrich (Drums), Ron McGovney (Bassist). 5/10. Nothing great, nothing bad.

7.5/10. The Beatles are way better, but the Stones still have a few good songs.

5/10 - I only like Paint It Black, the rest of their songs don't appeal to me.
