March Madness is known for crazy buzzer beaters and impossible upsets. However there’s also the blowouts. Usually within the first round as the 1 vs 16 matchup these teams just dominated from the start and never took their foot off the gas pedal. Some went home early while others were cutting down the nets

1 Loyola Ramblers 111 Tennessee Tech 42 (69 points)

In 1963 Loyola Chicago beat Tennessee Tech to death when they realized they couldn't make a shot if their lives depended on it going 18-82 from the floor.
Up 41 at the half, the Loyola Ramblers cruised to the most lopsided victory in tournament history. Power forward Vic Rouse was one of four Ramblers to finish the game with double-digit scoring totals and one of two to record a double-double.

2 Kansas Jayhawks 110 Prairie View A&M 52 (58 points) The Kansas Jayhawks, commonly referred to as KU, are the teams of the athletic department at the University of Kansas. They are currently a member of the Big 12 Conference

In 1998 the Jayhawks entered the tournament on a 13 game winning streak including the Big 12 tournament.
Led by Paul Pierce and Raef LaFrentz, the Jayhawks had a 20-5 lead before Prairie View made its first field goal. At halftime Kansas had a 60-24 lead and never really let up. Prairie View also shot 17-73 from the floor which doesn't help them either.
Paul Pierce led all scorers with 25 points, and both Raef LaFrentz and Lester Earl racked up a double-double for Kansas with LaFrentz scoring 20 points with 15 rebounds and Earl going 15-and-11.

3 UConn 103 Chattanooga 47 (56 points) Representing the University of Connecticut, the UConn Huskies compete in the NCAA Division I. Notable for their strong basketball programs, both men's and women's teams have multiple national championships. The school's colors are navy and white.

In 2009 UConn met Chattanooga in the first round. The Huskies were playing the game without head coach Jim Calhoun, who had been hospitalized earlier after not feeling well and yet it still didn't matter.

Price led UConn on a 14-0 run early in the first half where Price drained back-to-back-to-back three-pointers.Chattanooga also went nearly 12 minutes of gameplay without scoring 5 Huskies had Double figures in scoring with 3 having more than 20. 4 Syracuse Orange 101 Brown 52 (49 points) Located in Syracuse, New York, this program is a member of the ACC. Notable for their men's basketball and lacrosse teams, they have numerous championships under their belt. Orange is the primary team color.

The Bears had gone up against Big East teams twice in the 1985-86 season, losing to Providence by 27 and Seton Hall by 29. They knew what was coming as they prepared to take on the Syracuse Orange.
Led by Dwayne "Pearl" Washington and Rafael Addison, Syracuse jumped out to an early lead and never looked back. Jim Boeheim's squad led 51-23 at the half and finished the game shooting 51 percent from the field, holding the Bears to 25 percent shooting.

5 UCLA Bruins 109 Wyoming 60 (49 points)

In 1967 John Wooden brought the equivalent of the Golden State Warriors to the tournament. The Bruins jumped out to a 55-18 halftime lead behind the inside presence of Lew Alcindor and the outside shooting of Lucius Allen and Mike Warren as they watched Alcindor be double and triple-teamed to no avail. Alcindor had 29 points leading all scorers as UCLA would go on to become undefeated National Champions

6 Duke Blue Devils 101 UConn 54 (47 points) Based in Durham, North Carolina, the Blue Devils are part of the ACC. They are renowned for their men's basketball program, which has won multiple NCAA championships. Their team colors are Duke blue and white.

The Blue Devils met UConn who won the Yankee conference. Duke jumped out to an early lead and wouldn't trail the entire game
Jeff Mullins led the scoring for Duke with 30 points, eight rebounds and five assists, shooting 61 percent from the field.

In 2002 Duke tied themselves for one of the largest blowouts in the tournament
Eight minutes into the game, Duke, the defending National Champion, went on a 11-0 run fueled by Carlos Boozer that resulted in an insurmountable 27-7 Blue Devils' lead. Boozer accounted for eight of the 11 points on the run and would score 18 of his 19 points for the game before halftime as the Blue Devils took a 52-15 lead to the locker room. The rest is history as Duke cruised in the second half

8 Kentucky Wildcats 113 Mount Saint Mary’s 67 (46 points) Located in Nashville, Tennessee, the Vanderbilt Commodores are the athletic teams of Vanderbilt University. They compete in the Southeastern Conference (SEC) and are known for their strong baseball and women's tennis programs. The team's mascot is named Mr. Commodore, and their colors are black and gold.

Oddly enough Mt Saint Mary's would actually lead at one point 5-2.
Kentucky would take a 15-5 lead by scoring 13 unanswered points, but the Mountaineers fought back, getting within five with just over 13 minutes left at 20-15. By halftime, Kentucky had a commanding 59-36 lead. In the second half, things wouldn't get any better for the underdogs, as Kentucky doubled their 23 point halftime lead. The Wildcats would eventually fall to UNC in the Elite 8

9 North Carolina Tar Heels 112 Rhode Island 67 (45 points)

This game started off close when URI made it a one point game early in the first half at 11-10, UNC put the game away, going on a 21-2 run and leaving little doubt to how this one would end. The Tar Heels had 4 in double figures including
Donald Williams with 17 points, and Derrick Phelps had 15 points without missing any of his seven shots, including one three-pointer. Eric Montross had nine rebounds to go along with his 15 points. This UNC team would actually win the National Championship against the Fab Five at Michigan

10 DePaul Blue Demons 99 Eastern Kentucky 55 (44 points)

In 1965 DePaul squared off with Eastern Kentucky. It was A 10-point game at the half then turned into a nightmare 44-point blowout for Eastern Kentucky behind the 20 and 21-point nights of Tom Meyer and Dave Mills, respectively—two of five Blue Demons to score in double digits. DePaul would lose to Vanderbilt by 5 points in the next round
