Top Ten Evil Fictional Characters People Love

Whether these characters come from movies, TV shows, comic books or video games, they all share the same characteristic: they are loved by fans around the world (and sometimes even more than their heroic counterparts). Usually the hero is the one that is meant to be loved the most, but many "bad guys" often break that mold.
The Top Ten
1 Loki - Marvel Loki Laufeyson, or Loki Odinson, is a fictional character appearing in the American comic books published by Marvel Comics. He is the adoptive brother and archenemy of Thor, and is known as the "God of Mischief". In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the character has been portrayed by Tom Hiddleston.

The Marvel movies would be boring without Loki. He is the most charismatic character (thanks to Tom Hiddleston) and one of the funniest. This is why people love him so much.

how can you even doubt it? I have a green and black toy snake named after him

Such a likeable antagonist and later anti-hero.

I used to have a crush on him back when I was 13...it was so cringy ugh.

2 Joker - Batman The Joker is a fictional super villain created by Bill Finger, Bob Kane, and Jerry Robinson who first appeared in the debut issue of the comic book Batman (April 25, 1940) published by DC Comics. Credit for the Joker's creation is disputed; Kane and Robinson claimed responsibility for the Joker's design, while acknowledging Finger's writing contribution. Although the Joker was planned to be killed off during his initial appearance, he was spared by editorial intervention, allowing the character to endure as the archenemy of the superhero Batman. The Joker has also been included in many other platforms such as the Arkham game series, the DC animated universe, Young Justice, graphic novels, and ...read more.

I actually love The Joker more than Batman. He's a very interesting character and what makes the character better is the amazing performances of all the actors that portrayed Joker in the movies. I still love Batman of course, but I like Joker better.

Yes I feel like more interesting villains are usually at least somewhat liked.

What? The greatest villain of all time in third position? Come on

3 Darth Vader - Star Wars Darth Vader is a Star Wars character and the main antagonist of the first three original Star Wars films and the main protagonist of the Star Wars prequel trilogy under his original name Anakin Skywalker. He had been trained as a Jedi but defected to the Sith lord and Galactic Chancellor Palpatine. In the original trilogy, Vader was physically portrayed by David Prowse ...read more.

Darth Vader is the reason people love Star Wars. He looks so cool and menacing. The first time we see Vader in the original trilogy, he remains in the back of our minds the entire movie despite him not making a lot of appearances.

Darth Vader is the coolest, most badass and the most menacing villain ever. I would of put him number one in my remix, but I love Lord of the Rings more than I do Star Wars.

Darth Vader is the BEST villain of all time. He has such a menacing yet mysterious presence that keeps you hooked for the rest of the movie

I love Darth Vader. The cool suit, the force, the voice and the Imperial march all makes him a great favourite villain

4 Magneto - X-Men Magneto is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics, commonly in association with the X-Men.

Magneto is the best. We understand his motivation, we emphasize with his cause. If you were a Mutant, you might very well choose to follow Magneto, and few would bat an eye. Professor X chooses to vie for a peaceful resolution, to gain understanding for Mutant rights through diplomacy. Magneto has already seen these efforts meet with less than needed results. Magneto chooses war, or revolution if you prefer. Historically, of the two mindsets, which has been the more effective to invoke change? One man's revolutionary is another man's hero.

I would be evil too if I was killed for having super powers

5 Azula - Avatar: The Last Airbender Princess Azula is a fictional character and antagonist of Nickelodeon's animated television series Avatar: The Last Airbender. She is voiced by Grey DeLisle Griffin.

Most well done antagonist in the Avatar franchise. Plus her lightning skill is simply too good

He literally made Scott Tenorman eat his own parents by killing them and turning them into chilli in the episode "Scott Tenorman Must Die". He is a good character but he really is evil and he committed so many crimes in the show.

The most hilarious South Park character in my opinion, Cartman is just so funny.

10 Darth Maul - Star Wars Darth Maul is a fictional character in the science fiction franchise Star Wars. Trained as Darth Sidious's first apprentice, he serves as a Sith Lord and a master of wielding a double-bladed lightsaber. Darth Maul debuted in Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, and has made subsequent appearances in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels, and Solo: A Star Wars Story.

I mean what's not to love about Darth Maul? He looks so cool! His fight scene at the end of The Phantom Menace is the best part of this movie. And let's not forget his double-bladed lightsaber and how cool it is to see him use it.

He looks so cool and badass

I just think he's neat

The Contenders
11 Agent Smith - The Matrix Agent Smith is a fictional character and the main antagonist of The Matrix trilogy. He was portrayed by Hugo Weaving in the films and voiced by Christopher Corey Smith in The Matrix: Path of Neo. However, due to scheduling conflicts, Weaving was not able to portray the role in The Matrix 4.
12 Bowser - Super Mario Bros. Bowser is the main antagonist of the Mario Bros. Franchise. From kidnapping Princess Peach to simply destroying a fun game between Mario and Friends in the Mario Party spinoff series, this king of the Koopas has set up a certain hatred towards himself amongst the large cast of Mario Characters. He first appeared in the 1985 popular videogame, Super Mario Bros., in which he was responsible for kidnapping Princess Toadstool (more commonly known as Princess Peach), which was released in Arcades and on the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) Videogame System.

The only reason I love Bowser is because he's the best one to play in Mariocart

13 Erik Killmonger - Marvel Cinematic Universe
14 Scar - The Lion King Scar is the main antagonist of Disney's 1994 animated feature film, The Lion King. He was the second son of Ahadi and Uru — who were, at one time, King and Queen of the Pride Lands — the younger brother of Mufasa, and the uncle of Simba.

He was later trapped by having his Ring of Power cut off his finger. He lived in a shapeless form. Sauron was remanifested as a necromancer and after being banished by a group of elves and wizards, Sauron took over the mind of Saruman. They went out and searched for the Ring. Sauron was finally defeated in the War of the Ring.

Can't believe I had to add Sauron myself. One of the greatest villains of all time and my personal favorite.

19 Megatron - Transformers Megatron is a character from the Transformers franchise, created by Hasbro in 1984, based on a toy design by Takara.

Megatron is the only Decepticon leader that I will accept. The series just wouldn't be the same without him.

Transformers just wouldn't be the same without Megatron

HOW IS HE 9TH?! Well, at least he's in the top 10.

20 Harley Quinn - Batman Harley Quinn is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics, commonly as a sidekick of the Joker.
21 Walter White - Breaking Bad Walter "Walt" Hartwell White Sr. is a fictional character and the main protagonist of Breaking Bad, portrayed by Bryan Cranston.

The whole story of breaking bad is based on this guy and how can he be this low on the list? At least he should be at top 10
