Top 10 Active NFL Quarterbacks of 2020 to Not Build A Franchise Around
So you want to build an NFL Franchise? You’ll need a lot of money to buy a franchise, build a stadium get coaches and other staff as well as players. Of those Quarterbacks are some of the most important players. But there’s some that aren’t great. For this list well look at Quarterbacks who you don’t want to start a franchise with. For this list a Quarterback must be currently on an NFL roster and played at least 1 game in the past 2 years.
This doesn’t necessarily mean they’re bad either just a small portfolio to go off of.
He's kind of over hyped
Last year we obviously saw him play a little bit as well as Devlin Hodges. Of the two I’d say Rudolph was the worse of them but really you could put either here. Rudolph was really bad as that offense just stalled with him under center he only had 13 touchdowns and 9 interceptions in 10 games with 1,765 yards and an 82 QB rating. I think the most notable things to happen to him last year was the concussion and the Cleveland Brawl. That’s not the numbers you want to see in a franchise quarterback
Would you also need helmet insurance in case Myles Garrett re-emerges?
At least we went 8-8, and that was mostly without Big Ben. We better be good in 2020.
Terrible Quarterback
Fitzpatrick to me is a journeyman QB. He actually took a pretty scrappy roster last year and got some wins and beat the Patriots even. So he’s not a completely terrible quarterback. However here’s the thing about him. Fitzpatrick is a temporary fix a lot like Nick Foles. He is not a long term solution which is what you want for a franchise quarterback for that reason he makes the list
Haskins is in a critical point in his career. Last year was rough he showed flashes of potential at the end but that offense is as offensive to the fanbase as the team name is to SJW’s. Now with Riverboat Ron Rivera in town things may be better but this could be the next Josh Rosen in the making
Oh boy I can feel the hate coming with this one. Look guys I’m all for Minshew Mania. I really am But here we have another small portfolio of games to work with. Last year he was an upstart rookie who was able to rattle off some wins here and there. The reason he’s here is just not a lot to go off of. I need to see more to get a true opinion on him. I hope he has a good year but that roster man... not great
I probably don' think he'll be around for that much longer with the Jags.
As I’m sure you all know Jamies Winston is a meme. Last year he had a 30 Touchdown and 30 interception season. Which became another meme. Unlike a lot of other players here Winston has the yards to be great. Problem is what’s the point of those yards when he keeps turning the ball over? Maybe sitting back and getting mentored by Drew Brees and Sean Payton will help Winston but for the time being I need to see improvement to believe it
A little overrated
