Best Mario Party DS Minigames

The only one I'd personally say I really love. You walk on a pathway to the end in a dark area with platforms of different colours and some of them black out at times so you must be careful. There's a lot of challenge in this one that isn't completely broken which I heavily respect, plus the overall concept is pretty original and unique, especially compared to other minigames in the list. So yeah this is easily my favourite of the bunch.

This minigame is mostly here because of how easy yet amusing it is. There's a pathway of candles in front of you and you must blow them to jump on them. However, blow really hard and you may blow out two candles in a row, greatly reducing the risk of losing. It's so broken, yet so fun, which puts this one on the list.

You and friends are wandering around in a hay labyrinth and you must take a picture of everyone to win. It sounds stupid, but that's what makes it so fun. I mean who wants to have their image leaked onto the internet? It's such an addictive minigame that works surprisingly well that I can't not have it on the list.

Another really unique minigame, as it reminds me a lot of those sections in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga where you had to climb up pipes to traverse certain areas, and this minigame plays basically the same, where you and your partner must match button-press actions to scale up the pipe to the top first, but in addition to this, turning it to avoid any obstacles along the way. It's mostly the nostalgia from SS that puts this one really high but even objectively I think it's more skillfull and interesting than the others.

Way past classic

If you remember Bumper Balls from the first two games you'll like this one too, as you must knock all rivals out of the sink as you surf on a soap bar, while avoiding getting knocked out. As I said, the big difference is just that we're in a sink to match with the big house theme of the game. It's pretty entertaining.

This one is a bit nostalgic to me as I grew up playing two similar minigames in two successor Mario Party minigames, namely Peak Precision and Hot Skotch, from Mario Party 9 and Island Tour respectively. While I think those are more fun overall, this minigame does have the same addictive concept of winning, which puts this minigame on the list as well.

Running on conveyor belts avoiding fast food coming towards you. Well that's the team's objective. The solo player gets to place all of the food on the conveyor. It's definitely a lot more fun for the solo player, as being the team player is like playing any other conveyor minigame, which is to say the least..., BORING! So yeah it barely reaches the top five.

It's another one of those instances like Big Blowout where the minigame is so brokenly easy, but yet so satisfying. You slide the stylus to cut a cucumber alongside your partner and it's actually really addictive. Not to mention it's one of the few minigames where the CPU isn't completely broken in Expert mode.

You pick a rope and glide onto it. When land arrives after having been gliding for a while, you must press the landing button at the correct time to land precisely on it or you'll fall into oil. It's hard but really satisfying when you do succeed at it.

A little hard, but satisfying nevertheless. You climb out of a volcano while avoiding geysers that will shoot at different parts of the crater at times. However it can be a bit frustrating when you don't know how you go left and right due to the perspective, but it's fine.
