Top 10 Best Fawlty Towers Characters Who Only Appeared in One Episode

The classic British Sitcom Fawlty Towers had a number of memorable reoccurring characters. But what about the characters who only appeared in one episode? This is a list of what I believe to be the most memorable characters who only appeared in one episode of Fawlty Towers.
The Top Ten
1 Mr. Hutchinson

Played by the great Bernard Cribbins, Mr. Hutchinson was a man who spoke in a rather peculiar way, and Basil initially thought he was a Hotel Inspector. When he found out he was actually a spoon salesman, Basil then soured on him, and Mr. Hutchinson quickly started to get aggravated. But it wasn't without good reason, as Basil kept messing up the simplest of tasks, and then attacked him, causing him to choke on a piece of cheese.

2 Mr. O'Reilly

Mr. O'Reilly was an Irish Builder who Basil hired to do some maintenance work on the Hotel. He was a very cheap builder, and was completely hopeless. He messed up the Hotel's walls and doors, and when Basil tried to impress upon him the seriousness of the situation, he was too laid back about it, until Sybil started attacking him. They never used him again after one too many disasters

Mr. O'Reilly made me laugh. Such a gentle character who took the wrath of Cybil and her golfing brolly really well. I wouldn't have him doing any building work on my home, but still...
Good list, SuperSonic17.

3 Harry Hamilton

An American guest who arrived at the hotel late and fancied something to eat. This presented a problem, as the chef had to leave for his "Karate". Basil then tried to cook the meal himself and pretend the chef was still there. Mr. Hamilton had a very short fuse (possibly the angriest customer Fawlty Towers has ever had), and got infuriated as Basil was treating him like an idiot, and was unable to find the ingredients for a Waldorf Salad (what chance would he have at getting a steak right afterwards?).

4 Lord Melbury

Appearing in the first episode, Lord Melbury was a hotel guest who Basil was treating extra nicely, in his attempt to try and attract a higher class of people, only to later find out that he wasn't really Lord Melbury. He was just a con-man, who was trying to get Basil to give him his valuable collection of coins. As you can imagine, Basil was not happy, feeling like he'd been played for a fool

5 Alice Richards

Mrs. Richards was a hard of hearing and very foul tempered woman who was a guest at Fawlty Towers. She complained numerous times about Manuel talking nonsense, and her room being unsatisfactory. She then later lost some money, all whilst Basil was trying to keep his horse race winnings safe.

6 Kurt

The Greek chef who briefly worked at Fawlty Towers. He had a strong crush on Manuel, but after Manuel let him down hard, he got drunk at the worst possible time, when Fawlty Towers was having it's gourmet night. Unable to cook, the gourmet night ended up being a disaster, and Kurt was presumably let go after that.

7 Dr. Price

A Doctor who just wanted a quiet stay at the hotel, but ended up having to deal with more than he bargained for. First off one of the guests dying was bad enough, but then the simple task of wanting some sausages to eat ended up going wrong as well. Because of all the goings on the sausages kept getting burnt, resulting in the Doctor cooking them himself, only to find they were out of date.

8 Mr. Johnson

Mr. Johnson was a rather quirky, new-age kind of person, who Sybil got along quite well with. Basil however didn't like him as much, considering him to be a weirdo. He then later had suspicions that Mr. Johnson was smuggling another girl in his room, and tried to prove it to Sybil, which (needless to say) proved unsuccessful.

9 Roger

Roger was one of Sybil's friends who visited Fawlty Towers for Basil and Sybil's Anniversary. However, things started to go awry when Sybil left, Basil had to try and pretend she was ill. Roger however was increasingly observant to the story Basil was trying to spin, and often made sarcastic jabs at him and his less than satisfactory gathering.

10 Colonel Hall

When Fawlty Towers had a gourmet night, Colonel Hall was one of the guests. He was noticeable for having a twitch, so much so to the point where Basil didn't want to introduce him to Mr. Twychen, afraid he might offend the Colonel. The Colonel also had a rather short wife, who Basil also tried his hardest not to offend.
